I for one am not buying it now the race is on to save face. Ride on Hillary's ticket first then I might give you a chance. I already know where Hillary stands but not to sure about Obama.

Watching this story unfold over the last few days it occurred to me that McCain is getting alot of free political advertising. If HRC's 3am phone call ad served to sway undecided voters in her favor in the Texas primaries, ads featuring Pastor Wright will do the same for McCain.

Obama did like he has done with many people in his life - denounced their comments. People like Rev. Wright, Loius Farrakan, William Ayers and Rezko. What he failed to do was clarify why he has been in the life of a man that for over 20 years believed:—"Hillary ain't never been called a n–––––"—and another in which the pastor says, "God damn America … for killing innocent people." He also calls the 9/11 attacks "America's chickens coming home to roost. Called the U.S. government the source of the AIDS virus and expressed anger over what he called racist America."
Rev. Wright married you and baptisted your chilren but you are still OK with being associated with a person that is filled with so much hate. The president represents all of America not the sum of it's parts.
Senator Obama's associations have shown incredicble "bad judgement" on his part. He can no longer question Hilary's judgement on the war because at least she was given bad intelligence. He has surrounded himself with hate filled shadey chararcters that made hime what his is today.
My opinion is it is not a president!

THIS IS FROM AN EMAIL GOING AROUND AND NOTHING IMPROPER ABOUT IT. IT JUST NEEDS TO BE SHARED WITH ALL RACES
Subject: I'M PROUD TO BE WHITE!
To Be White
Someone finally said it.
How many are actually paying attention to this?
There are African Americans,
Mexican Americans,
Asian Americans,
Arab Americans,
Native Americans, etc.
...And then there are just -
Americans.
You pass me on the street
And sneer in my direction.
You call me "White Boy"
"Cracker," "Honkey,"
"Whitey," "Caveman,"
... And that's OK.
But when I call you N-----,
Kike, Towel head,
Sand-nigger, Camel Jockey,
Beaner, Gook, or Chink
... You call me a racist.
You say that whites commit a lot
Of violence against you,
So why are the ghettos the most
Dangerous places to live?
You have the United Negro College Fund.
You have Martin Luther King Day.
You have Black History Month.
You have Cesar Chavez Day.
You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi.
You have the NAACP.
And you have BET.
If we had WET
(White Entertainment Television)
... We'd be racists.
If we had a White Pride Day
... You would call us racists.
Then there is so-called
gay pride day
If we had White History Month
... We'd be racists.
If we had any organization for only whites
To "advance" OUR lives
... We'd be racists.
We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce,
A Black Chamber of Commerce,
And then we just have the plain
Chamber of Commerce.
Wonder who pays for that?
If we had a college fund that only gave
White students scholarships
... You know we'd be racists.
There are over 60 openly proclaimed
Black-only Colleges in the US,
Yet if there were "White-only Colleges"
... THAT would be a racist college.
In the Million Man March,
You believed that you were
Marching for your race and rights.
If we marched for our race and rights,
... You would call us racists.
You are proud to be black,
Brown, yellow and orange,
And you're not afraid to announce it.
But when we announce our white pride
You rob us,
Carjack us,
And shoot at us.
But, when a white police officer
Shoots a black gang member
Or beats up a black drug-dealer
Who is running from the LAW and
Posing a threat to ALL of society
... You call him a racist.
I am proud.
... But, you call me a racist.
Why is it that only "Whites Can be RACIST"?

I thought Obama's speech was wonderful and I understood the point that he was trying to make. Would it really be right for him to turn his back on a man that he has known for 20 years just because they have different political beliefs. I think what Obama did was honest and brave. Would everyone rather him come out with a bunch of lies? Just because people disappoint us and say things that they shouldn't doesn't mean that we don't love them or forgive them! Forgiveness is in the bible and I respect Obama for his forgiving and loving spirit I think that is what we need in the White House someone that is real and I am still for OBAMA. No matter what some of you hypocritical and judgmental people on here say. Obama is an amazing man ,flawed but honest about it! Can you really say that about BILLARY and MCCAIN?
allison10:37AMMar 19th 2008
Obama is going to have a real tough time talking about JUDGEMENT from now on. He decided to stay with a church for 20 years that preached hate of America and white people and didnt have the judgement to leave or try to temper it's Anti-American teachings. Now, talk about hood-winking..guess he thinks we're all so nieve that we'll believe he is worthy of being our president. Sigh!!!! Save our country!!Vote Hillary!!!

Belle you need to stop passing that ignorant stuff around I am glad that you are proud to be white and you should!! Everyone should be proud to be who they are no matter what race or gender they are. The stupid name calling solves nothing and so what blacks finaly have national holidays and college funds our grandparents and great grandparents and people like MLK fought for us to have these things they weren't just given to us without those people that payed a stiff price for us!! So get off of here with that ignorance and no not all blacks are killers, murderers many of us have just as much and sometimes more education them so of your people so get a life and stop passing around ignorant information which causes a racial divide!! We need to be worried about fixing our country and not so worried about race. Will worrying about race bring home our soldiers that are dying in record numbers each day? Hell no! Will worrying about race repair our economy? Hell no!! Will worrying about race fix our healthcare system? Hell no!!! So pass on something that will help us all not hender us and sway us away from what is most important right now!!!
Belle gain some knowledge and have a good day!!!

He is scarry and inexperiences.
Vote Hillary!!!
diane10:52AMMar 19th 2008
I live in the suburbs of Chicago, Obama owes the citizens of Illinois a refund. He has been collecting his salary and what has he accomplished...change? What change?
LilprincessVH10:54AMMar 19th 2008
The problem is that we have a man who wants to be President of the United States of America, who has made it quite clear that he hates America, hates Americans, and hates whites. Is this what we want? I, for one, sure don't.
WHATEVER10:56AMMar 19th 2008
Obama is a wishy washy kind of guy that will say anything, denounce anyone, whatever it takes to get what he wants. I am sure he probably called the reverend and got permission to denounce him, (but I still love ya!), and when I get to be Pres., I will call and apologize. The only RACISTS in America are the BLACKS!!! They are the only ones that can call anyone anything and get by with it. Wake up you fools that are voting for him---you are going to regret it!!

Obama couldn't run on "experience" because he doesn't have any. So he ran on "Good Judgement" which he has shown he doesn't have. Finally, he showed how poorly he can handle a crisis, by first stammering, then lying about knowning, then by trying to defend and the finally trying to divert!, This is not Presidential material
Lor10:57AMMar 19th 2008
We have legislators in office at this very moment who say it's okay to hate anyone who's gay, latino, or non-Christian yet we're going to get rabid over some guy who goes to church where a preacher preaches hate? Show me a church where they're NOT preaching hate! It's not like Obama said any of those things himself unlike other legislators. He has said that he disagrees with these statements. I think more than any president before him, Obama is the man who can unify this country.
Margaret10:58AMMar 19th 2008
Obama has attended this church for how many years? Now he says he doesn't agree with what was said! He has known the feelings of this man for YEARS....so why say he doesn't agree now?
prp11:00AMMar 19th 2008
I am tire of all this. White and Black people need to get a life and stop spreading trash. God love all color and you know racism was here long time ago and still here by the way you talking. If you a true Christian you learn to forgive. Yes the pastor might made some remark. Obama is not him so stop the hate.
Jackie11:00AMMar 19th 2008
Obama may indeed have greatness and charisma in him. He is a word poet and a powerful speaker.
But the fact remains that he sat in a church for 20 years and did not stand up to leave or confront the lies and racism there.
Maybe that's why it's been so easy to allow so many middle aged white people to be unfairly branded racist.
My question is are we all coming together? Feel united?
Don't drink the koolaid that Obama is passing around....

Obama gave a great speech but did not solve the problem and I don't think there is anything he can do to erase it. The bottom line is that the "Candidate for Change" refused to challenge the "divisive" remarks made by his pastor to try to effect some positive change within his own church. He never even had a conversation about politics with Wright but instead sat by for 20 years while this man spread rhetoric that now Obama says was wrong. Obama is great about talking about change but he does not have the courage to do what is necessary to make it happen. He had many opportunities over 20 years and chose not to take them.
