Bloomberg for Obama?
Mar 27th 2008 9:19AM
Filed Under:eEndorsements, Barack Obama, Featured Stories, 2008 President, Michael Bloomberg
From CBS News we learn:
Mayor Bloomberg will stand side by side with Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama for the second time in four months Thursday. Bloomberg will introduce the Illinois senator at a speech on the economy at Cooper Union College.
They have spent time with each other in the past, but Bloomberg's latest appearance with Obama is fueling speculation about whether the mayor will officially endorse the presidential candidate.
Does it matter who Bloomberg endorses? Clinton supporters, on the count of three... If the notoriously coy mayor of New York does give Obama the nod, no doubt Clinton fans will quickly add him to the list of "traitors," just one more "Judas" in our midst. We loved him yesterday, but hate him today. He's no better than all those other prominent liberals who had the audacity to express a preference as to who they prefer in a Democratic election. The nerve!
So will he endorse Obama? Beats me. Certainly, however, the billionaire likes what he sees about Obama's economic plan. In a scathing speech back on February 15, Bloomberg singled out Obama while excoriating most everyone else for what he sees as a short-sighted approach to rebuilding the country's infrastructure:
"I don't know whether Senator Obama looked to see what I've been advocating, or not--you have to ask him--but he's doing the right thing," Bloomberg said.
So tune in next Tuesday for another episode of "What Will Bloomberg Do?"

When will it dawn on people that Hillary does not have a hill of bean chance to win the Presidential Elections and she is trying to punish the Democratic Party by staying in and endorcing John Vain McCain.
Hillary has taken the (FE) out of (MALE) and (WO) out of (MAN) and I do not like it. Hillary is (SCORN) and she has taken it out on the Campaign trail. Hillary needs to be a (LADY) and gracefully drop out the race to keep her (FACE) in the Senate.

Obama and the End of Racism
Posted Mar 25th 2008 6:49PM by Dinesh D'Souza
http://news.aol.com/newsbloggers/2008/03/25/obama-and-the-end-of-racism/
Obama's decades-long support for the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, combined with his refusal to completely disavow this man, suggest that beneath his calm exterior, Obama may be seething with racial resentment. So far he has managed to conceal it, while his wife Michelle Obama lets out the occasional petulant outburst. But inner rage is the only explanation for why the Obama family is so close to Wright. He articulates their deepest feelings about race in America, feelings that they know are imprudent to air politically.
Yet what do the Obamas have to feel resentful about? They are one of the truly privileged families in America. They both got an Ivy League education. They had the benefit of top graduate schools. They have held enviable jobs such as Michelle Obama's hospital post that pays more than $300,000 a year (now she is part of the CFA – a prestigious foreign affairs council comprised of the wealthy elite). They live in an upscale neighborhood very far removed from the drug and crime-infested ghettos of Chicago. So what do these two have to whine about? Would they trade places even for a week with a working-class white family?
Well, the standard answer goes, it's still painful despite one's advantages to live in a racist country. But how can America be a racist country if Obama has a serious shot at the presidency? How would it even be possible for Obama to win predominantly white states as he has been doing in the primaries? Would a racist country be likely to have allowed affirmative action and preferential programs to blacks in university admissions, job hiring and government contracts for nearly 40 years?
The Obamas seem to be experiencing what Ellis Cose years ago termed "the rage of the privileged class." Cose accurately identified the rage, although he could not diagnose its source. For many black leaders, there is one obvious source: white racism. Several years ago I debated Jesse Jackson at Stanford University and challenged him to show me a racism today that prevents his family or mine from achieving the American dream. Jackson admitted he couldn't, but then he said this merely showed that racism had gone underground, it was covert rather than overt, racism had now become institutionalized. To italicize his point Jackson went into some impressive rhyme schemes: "I may be well dressed, but I'm still oppressed," and so on.
The racism may have largely disappeared from view, but the rage of the privileged class is real. I think I know where this African American rage comes from. Imagine if you were Michael Jordan and someone said to you, "Every time you reach to dunk the ball into the basket, let's lower the net by six inches." This is basically what affirmative action does: it gives historically disadvantaged groups a break to compensate for the effects of past and present racism. Whatever the justification, however, the effect of such policies is to completely discredit the achievement even of competent beneficiaries. Michael Jordan's claim to be the greatest basketball player ever would be utterly destroyed if he played by a different set of rules as everyone else. And I wouldn't be surprised if Geraldine Ferraro were on hand to say, "Jordan only got where he got because of the color of his skin."
Consequently those who stand to benefit from racial preferences, as the Obamas may have done in gaining admission to university and graduate school, typically accept the subsidy while at the same time resenting the implication that they have gotten an unfair leg up. Their seething anger, however, is not directed toward affirmative action or toward the liberal paternalists who have implemented it. Rather, they ascribe generic blame to societal racism. In this weird framework, more affirmative action is then demanded to fight this unseen bigotry. Needless to say, the rage shows no signs of abating and only intensifies.

who cares who he endorses? the superdelagates are all attaching themselves to whomever they feel has the best chance of advancing their personal interests not ours.
sen. obama has not addressed his black liberation ties and no one would believe him now if he did.
obviously this isn't a black/white issue it's a racism issue...HIS!

hehehehe, c'mon David, everyone in NYC knows that Bloomberg covets the Senate seat of NY. He'll take either one which puts him at odds with either Schumer or Clinton.
Why can;t you guys blog all the facts? Maybe because you can't get out of your "branded" marketing classes? Drive Drive Drive the message, but refusing to sink to the details - eh, Dave.

Democratic candidate Mrs. Clinton has declared that pledged delegate can ultimately support any of the candidates regardless results during the primaries and caucuses. Long Live Democracy! Any historian will tell you how, in the 1800s in Europe, governments were chosen by a small number of powerful rich males while little people and women were said to be too stupid to understand politics.
Want to read another interesting piece about Clinton and the little people?

Clinton and/or Schumer is a threat to Bloombergs political career, and he is just making time hitting at Clinton while she is in the spotlight.
Goodness, perhaps O'Souza is correct when he infers that this race is not about the people, but about the ideologies of the wealthy.
Ah Rome, Hail Caesar, the Senate is dead! Freedom lies stabbed through the heart and pale upon the marble floor smitten by men of wealth and privilege.
Enjoy being one of the toadies of the wealthy?

Well, I just spoke to the Mayor's Press department at City Hall, and he told me (as we know) that Bloomberg did not announce any support for anyone, and Bloomberg said as such when he introduced Barack Obama at today's speech. He explained that it is the Mayor's job to sometimes welcome visitors who come to NYC (as if I didn't know!).
SO, it's still up in the air, as you said.
Katherine10:49AMMar 27th 2008
Update:
I just spoke to Patricia E. Harris's office (First Deputy Mayor)...Person right under Mayor Bloomberg.
I asked flat out if Bloomberg was going to endorse Obama.
She said: "It is the Mayor's prerogative to support whoever he wants."
That answer plus the *tone* sounded like a YES to me!! LOL...!
First Deputy Mayor: DUMMY.

Why should she quit.. Obama can not win with out the super delegates either...And with his record and anti-American and bribery friends.. there is no way he will beat McCain.. Keep this in mind. There are about 125 million plus people who actually do vote in the general election and only 25 million have voted in the democratic race...Wait until the general election and you will see Obama go down with every state turning red...
People say the Clinton's are untrustworthy.. Really what about Obama? He has pastor who spreads hatred for whites, not just one pastor but, two...he has a friend, who is a domestic terrorist whom bomb the pentagon and said he wished he would of done more damage that is his only regret,, he has a friend that is on trial for bribery of state officials, He has a wife who is not proud to be an American until now, What else is behind Obama??? At lease everything is out with the Clintons.... Obama tried to switch the issue of hatred to issues of race, his speech made the hatred for white issue a race issue.. AND STUPID AMERICANS ARE BUYING THE COVER MY ASS SPEECH AS THE BEST EVER.. This is about hate not race remember that people....WHY WOULD ANY RED BLOODED AMERICAN VOTE FOR OBAMA???????
I am so sick of people saying Hillary will do anything to win.. Obama is in the dirt also.. You just cannot see him..

Boycott MSNBC , CNN & Fox for cutting Obamas speech on the economy
short. It was getting very good then they interupted it so they can
tell us what we should hear not what we really heard. The media has
manipilated this process over & over again. they think we only can
think in the span of a 30 second sound bite. CNBC didnt even air it.
They will probly cut off Hillary address to but let that looser
Macain bore us to death about how he wont fix anything & allow big
business to rule the world. Great job Media!

Actually, Hillary should quit. If she kills Obama in the remaining states where she is favored or that are a coin flip (PA, WV, IN, KY, PR - maybe a few others), let's say 63% of the vote in each. And let's remember that she has won only 5 races with 55% of the vote or more (as opposed to Obama who has won 20 races by over 55% against Hillary). But, let's say that she wins by those margins.
Then let's say that Obama wins the states he's expected to win, by lesser than expected margins - say 53-55%, (NC, SD, MT, OR). Let's say Guam is a draw. Hillary would still need to get more than 58-60% of the superdelegates behind her.
Given that during the last 2 months superdelegate allocations have been even or slightly favoring Obama - what makes you think that she'll have enough to get the nomination? And - do you realize that Obama can underperform in states he will win and get creamed everywhere else and he can still get the nomination with less than 1/2 of the Superdelegates?
This, you idiots, is why Hillary should drop out. And, don't give me that nonsense about Red-Blooded Americans - the majority of us do support Obama, that's why Hillary is losing.

The president was speaking which is more important...he only has VAGUE ideas ...same ol blah blah blah

Mary B:
Did you watch the President though? He almost started crying. He said God Bless America, twice.
He seemed very upset. I wonder if that Saddam Hussein news--Saddam paying for democratic law-makers' trip to Iraq was new news to him? If so, I am positive it amazed him.

Why would anybody call him a traitor? He has been known to be an Independent for quite a while. This is not the same as Richardson at all.
As usual, Obots are making something out of nothing before it has even happened.
