Oh please, please, please, John McCain nominate Condi Rice as VP. It would be classic.

So far, white America has been lectured to, oh sorry, scolded, oh sorry, taught, yeah that's it, about how there are different kinds of churches and speeches given in the black community that do not constitute "hate speak".

If McCain nominates Rice, we will get lecture, sorry lesson, #2...about how there are "house n's" and "Uncle Toms" and how it cannot be possible for a person with dark skin to be (gasp) Conservative. We will also learn that it is possible for a person of color to speak without giving a speech. We will also learn that despite what we see from Obama and Wright that persons of color can control their voices and do not have to shout.

I have not been a Rice fan, but let's face it, she does know the situation in Iraq better than anyone.

McCain could just announce that she will keep her current position in his administration, that would diffuse things a bit, but VP is a great move for her. I think she would be a good VP and possibly a good President.

personally condi rice does scare me but, i will admit i don't know enough about her to say i wouldn't vote for the ticket. i'm not for voting for her just because her gender/ethnic card trumps the democrats...that's just silly. that's like the media yesterday trying to tie obama's basketball game into march madness.
i guess we have to wait and see who mccain's choice is and why and not be lead into divisiveness just to offset the democrats divisiveness.
he hasn't made his decision and everything at this point is speculation.

It is sad that we still think in terms of race and gender when it come to the Presidency. If Condi is the best person by all means she should be the VP choice, but not because of color or gender. Not to ensure votes. Not as a affirmative action measure either.

Condi certainly has the experience, any one who doubts that has been living on Mars.

Up until a week or so I would have said she would be an excellent choice. However recent Kenyan events have given me pause. It was at her insistence that the position of Prime Minister was created in Kenya for Raila Odinga. Raila Odinga is Barack Obama cousin who is pushing Shari law for Kenya.

That is very troubling to me. Was Condi just trying to establish peace in Kenya. But peace at what cost?
