Rush Limbaugh Safe
I never doubted it, but now I have a little more backup, via the Columbus Dispatch:
"We have no intention of prosecuting Rush Limbaugh because lying through your teeth and being stupid isn't a crime," said Leo Jennings, a spokesman for Democratic Attorney General Marc Dann.
When asked whether she has concerns about what Limbaugh did, Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner, a Democrat, replied, "I think it's very bad form, but I think most voters are intelligent enough to make their own decisions."
I wonder what Mr. Jennings thinks about lefty blogger Markos of DailyKos, who was running his own little Operation Chaos back in January.
Now here's the thing -- without a real Democratic contest on the ballot, and a lack of party registration in Michigan, this is an open primary. Anyone can pick up a Republican ballot. So Michigan Democrats and independents who want to see the Republican battle royale continue should just take a few minutes on Tuesday, January 15th to cast a ballot for Mitt Romney in the Republican primary.
If you know someone in Michigan, send them the email I've included below the fold. If you don't know someone in Michigan, send the email to your liberal friends and see if THEY have friends in Michigan. Get the word out, whether by blog, mailing list, MySpace or Facebook page, or whatever.
If this is a crime, Rush would be far from the only one in trouble.

If there are any replublicans
that are honest
they would distance themselves
from the greedy ones
for it is their greed
that will be their downfall
the idea that if they
can get away with a small lie
they can keep doing it
then they get caught
Somehow I get the feeling
that the replublicans really
beieve they have a chance
but take Ilinois for example
there is no replublican party
in that state anymore
Remember Hastart?
His guy lost big time
Like we all aren't

That is the straw that broke the camel's back. I was voting for the Republicans this year, but after this they have now convinced me (as a LONG TIME conservative) that they have lost their way. They have become arrogant with their power and the establishment has taken us conservatives for granted. I just find it difficult to trust them.
They are laying the foundation for religious bigotry as they continue to harass Obama's pastor who should have the right to speak his mind from even the pulpit. What if the media starts to go on a rampage about the every Christian church?
This administration was wrong on the borders and wrong on NAFTA.
Unemployment is spreading like the plague. Political MASONS in high positions within both parties have for years been preparing America for a socialistic economy and a "BIG BROTHER" style of Government. The Republicans of this administration have always touted that they are the party of limited government but once getting into office the republican establishment forgets about their principles. They want oligarchy not a democratic republic. But history is only repeating itself. Let's now look at the political life of Congressman Charles Halleck.
_____________________________________
Mr. Halleck's New Deal: Congressman Charles Halleck and the Limits to Reform
ROBERT L. FULLER
Charles Halleck joked after his election in 1935 that, as the sole Republican representative from Indiana, he held his caucus in a phone booth. However, over time Congressman Halleck rose through party ranks in the House from "waterboy" to majority leader when Republicans regained control of Congress in 1946. One, because the GOP also won a majority of seats in the Senate and two, many Southern Democrats proved cooperative in advancing Republican policies. Republicans stood a very good chance of implementing their program for America.
Congressman Halleck, who had railed against the New Deal since he first took a seat in the House, stood in position to do something about it in 1947. Yet, once in office, the Republicans and Southern Democrats, supposedly so dead set against the New Deal, made very few proposals and offered hardly any legislation to alter New Deal reforms in any significant way. Aside from changing labor laws, they MADE NO EFFORT to overturn the legislative achievements of the 1930s that lasted longer than the Depression. Majority Leader Halleck, his Republican colleagues and their allies among the Democrats only tinkered with a few of the reforms that remained in place after the Supreme Court ruled them constitutionally sound, because by and large Halleck and other Republicans supported most New Deal reforms. When they lambasted "the New Deal," which they did loudly and often, they really targeted the frequently chaotic administration set into place by President Franklin D. Roosevelt to oversee the reforms and relief.

And just like that the DEMOCRAT AND REPUBLICAN ESTABLISHMENT WAS BORN. Compromising our principles has lead to more campaign slogans, and more do-nothing congressmen and administrations. The more we elect these people the more in debt our nation gets. The media has left us so ill- informed that I bet the majority who are viewing this page right now are unaware that were are in debt to Asian BANKS and WE ARE IN THE GREATEST amount of debt to SOME very WEALTHY ISLAMIC Nations who happen to have OIL. THE SAUDIES AND CHINESE OWN SO MUCH OF THE American economy they all they have to do is put their money out it and in ONE DAY AMERICA is in the GREAT DEPRESSION.
Do you know why? SOCIALIST LAWYERS, Law makers, and Economists in the last century conducted a slow economic takeover of America by first of all taking the US dollar Off of the GOLD STANDARD and placed it on faith in the Government. The media played the role of keeping the American people entertained and ignorant of this shift the direction of the nation. Some within political landscape are becoming open about their treason because the American people are being socially engineered to not attach a negative connotation the idea. There is a wing in congress called the "socialist progressives" I believe these Masonic Lodge republican's and democrat's think the American people are stupid and uneducated. Well NOW I believe it is time to expose their dirty underwear before the mass public.

Clearly Hillary Clinton has too much baggage of corruption in her past to lead America. The Clinton's are apart of the Democrat Establishment and CANNOT BE TRUSTED!!!
YOU WANT PROOF? This is a partial list of 52 deaths of persons connected to President Clinton during his scandalous tenure as Governor of Arkansas and/or while President of the United States and thereafter.

I love it – The Clinton machine has run out of ways to win this election.
So now they are trying to turn the tide by trying to blame Obama for the words that come out of a poor old bitter mans mouth.
But if you see the poll numbers today that is also backfiring.
Hillary Clinton’s positives are the lowest that have ever been.
That tells you that the American people are not falling for your lies and hate mongering.
And to the people that keep spieling that she won the big states and she will win them in the general election are you ignorant?????
Most of these states have historically voted republican.
And if you think the republicans would ever vote for another SCANDAL FILLED Clinton administration you are delusional.
The only time they vote Clinton is when they switched parties at Rush’s direction and voted for her.
They know that the only way they could win the next election is by running against a Clinton.
And this is from an white Republican woman….

My Grandmother was Polish.
She blamed all the problems on the Jew’s.
She blamed WW2 on the Jew’s because they were trying to take over
the world!
I still remember her telling her grandchildren to save our money and
buy a house because we should not pay rent to a Jew.
Whenever some staple would go up in price in the store the Jew’s
were stealing from us Catholic’s.
If she was still alive I’m sure she would tell us that the Jew’s
raised the price of gas.
God I miss my grandma, she baked the best sugar cookies and breads in
the world...............

ONCE AGAIN EL RUSHBAW HAS OUTSMARTED HIS ENEMIES. BRAVO. THE FAR LEFT HATES HIM MAINLY BECAUSE HE'S ALWAYS 2 STEPS AHEAD OF THOSE BOOBS. THE TURKS, MOVEON, DAILYKOS,AND ALL THE REST WILL "NEVER" GET A MAJORITY OF AMERICA TO FOLLOW THEIR SICK AND DISGUSTING IDEAS.

Rush reminds me of the movie Carrie. "Let's vote Carrie prom queen, then dump a bucket of pig's blood on her."
They were no more the good guys in the movie, than those who praise and support Rush in what is clearly an unethical move. Whether or not it succeeds is moot.
. . . and let us all hope Hillary doesn't have telekinetic powers!
glascoed8:37AMMar 29th 2008
I think the FEDS should get involved. At a minimum there is proof that Rush Limbaugh took action to influence a federal election (just replay his shows and look on his website where he touts "mission accomplished"). As a result and because he spends more than $1000 to produce his show and maintain his website he falls into the Federal Election Commission's definition of a "Political Committee" and he should be punished for violating the rules of the FEC as they relate to Political Committees. However I guess in order for this to happen a citzen would have to make a complaint on the FEC's website to get the ball rolling. I would do it, but I just don't have time.

The only crime here is Rush's power and audience is a Million times greater than the liberal move on folks. They know it and it drives them nuts!

I AM A REPUBLICAN AND RIGHT NOW NOT VERY PROUD TO ADMIT THAT. WITH A PERSON LIKE RUSH LINMBO SCREWING AROUND WITH THE ELECTION PROCESS ITS NO WONDER WE DONT HAVE GOOD TURN OUTS AT ELECTION TIME, WHY WOULD AN INTELLIGENT PERSON LISTEN TO A FAT DRUG ADDICT. MARRIED 4 TIMES, HE SAYS 3. ITS 4. AND MAKES THE DIGUSTING REMARKS LIKE HE DID WITH MICHAEL FOX AND THE CHILDRENS CHIP PROGRAM. ITS SCARY TO THINK PEOPLE PAY ATTENTION TO HIM......

26 reasons why Voters are incensed with Hillary R. Clinton and abandoning her ship:
1-Hillary's attempt to align herself with the Republican Candidate against her Democratic rival, Barack Obama.
2-The repeated use of racist comments by her campaign.
3-The lack of leadership of her campaign in not denouncing racist comments.
4-Hillary's attempt to label any group to which she loses against as insignificant.
5-Ed Rendells comment that he will not recognize an Obama Victory, even if it involves total delegates, total states, and total popular vote; Rendell, a spokesman for the Clinton campaign, apparently won't acknowledge a Obama victory no matter what the metric.
6-Hillary's condescending comments about the totality of Obama campaign, which she has taken to referring to as a single speech.
7-Hillary's comment and tortured logic that Obama isn't qualified to be Commander in Chief, but that he could be her Vice President.
8-Hillary attempt to poach voters by implying that a vote for her would also yield a Vice-Presidential candidate position for Barack Obama.
9-Hillary's renouncement of the Caucus process and rules, after previous Clinton campaigns won with the same Caucus processes and rules.
10-Hillary's disingenuous kitchen sink approach to the race.
12-Hillary's repeated attempts to triangulate voters rather than showing leadership.
13-A scorched earth policy where she will apparently do anything to win votes.
15-Bill Clinton's attempt to skew election results by soliciting Republican mischief voters. Clinton appeared on the Rush Limbaugh show the day of the Texas Primary to get Republican voters to vote against Obama by voting for Hillary, knowing that these same voters would never vote for Hillary in a General election.
16-The use of Chelsea Clinton to sway voters, while refusing access to her by the press.
17-Clinton's unwillingness to be vetted, by her refusal to release her tax records.
19-The Clinton Campaigns attempt to seat delegates in Florida and Michigan, in which Clinton didn't run against anyone, and in which she vowed that she wouldn't participate in.
20-A general resentment "do anything to win" attitude, regardless of how unethical or untruthful the result; ie essentially dragging the campaign and the Democratic Party into the mud.
21-An acknowledgment that Hillary's unethical Campaign behavior, including an inept cronyism in its leadership, will be reflective of how she would rule the country.
22-A concern that there is no way Hillary could win in the General Election, because of the ineptness of her campaign machine, including its poor messaging, tone, inconsistency, and alienation of large block of voters.
23-An attempt by the Clinton Campaign to use a big tent approach by inviting in racists.
24-A concern over the lack of transparency relating to how involved corporate lobbyist are in her campaign.
25-Clinton's authorization of the IRAQ war without reading the NIE.
26-Clinton's posturing to support a warlike stance against IRAN.

This country is in for a rough ride for the next 4 years.Just look at ours choices for President-like choosing between Curly, Larry and Moe (the Three Stooges, for all you youngsters out there). Hillary-talks out of both sides of her mouth-and sometimes out of her ***. Obama-will some please inform Barack that SOCIALISM HAS NEVER WORKED. And as for McCain-how many Republicans will just hold their noses and vote for him-he's no consevative.

Aren't you people forgetting something? Rush Limbaugh is not on the ballot!
Millions of people listen to Limbaugh because he informs people of facts that the biased mainstream media, with their liberal agenda, don't want you to know.
Do yourselves a favor- if you don't already, watch Fox News. You'll get both sides of the political debate. Hannity and Colmes is a good place to start. Don't automatically believe that something is true just because Brian Williams, Katie Couric, Chris Mathews, Keith Oberman, and the like, tell you it is. What are they leaving out?
Our soldiers in Iraq wonder why the majority of the media concentrates solely on the negative aspects of the war, and don't report on the positives. Their is much humanitarian work going on over there, including the rebuilding of Iraq's infrastructure. People there walk up to our soldiers and hug them. Some give them gifts. The media doesn't report those type of events. They are afraid the American people who are against the war might just think differently about it, and support staying there until the mission is accomplished, rather than admit defeat and leave.
Did you know- in a recent poll of Iraqi people, 70% of them polled do not believe they are in a civil war, despite the opinions of Democrats over here who claim they are? Mathews, Oberman, and the rest of the gang aren't going to tell you that.

For BB King, claimed conservative...your reasoning for 'switching' votes is flawed. If your real concerns were border security and religious tolerence, moving to the dems would be ignorant.
No democrat plans to do anything about the border except open it wider and lay out a welcome mat...offering welfare and health care paid for by successful Americans. What [art of NAFTA do you have trouble with? A dem POTUS signed it, his wife has supported ever since, and Obama told Canadian officials that his issues' with it were only rheotircal flourishes within a campaign. So, Hill's pandering and Obama's lying about wanting to dismantle NAFTA.
On religion, no one cares that Wright has different religious views. It's his America hating opinions...the racism of his core beliefs...that maarks him as part Louis Farrakhan, part David Duke.
I find your claims of 'switching' suspect, at best.

I think technicaly it is fraud, but no one wants to prosecute such a thing and it would be tough to prove anyway.
Voting for someone else's party to cause trouble for that party does not make one a criminal in my opinion - just an immoral asshole. But, hey, the country is full of those.
