In HD Obama Looks Better Than Mac, Hill
The crisp clarity is a friend to the Brad Pitts and Angelina Jolies of the world, but for candidates pushing 60 or 70, she can be a harsh mistress: For Hillary Clinton, HD makes her look much older. "She has a lot of wrinkles, more than you realize," "When you see her in analog television, you don't think 60-year-old but in HD, it's like "oh yeah, 60-year-old."
John McCain's previous bouts with skin cancer also show up in more detail. "It's scary," says Swann. "But some can argue that it makes him more sympathetic because you realize all the scars, literally and figuratively, that he's gone through over the years."
Finally, Barack Obama is the one who really benefits, mostly. "You can see why people love him as far as charisma," says Swann. "Although, he has these veins that pop out of his forehead when he gets worked up, so I wonder if he has some blood pressure issues."

In our beauty-obsessed culture, this is a not-insignificant consideration. Once the general election campaign begins in earnest, more and more eyeballs will be drinking in the sundry candidates' mugs, and despite voters' security concerns, nobody wants a Gargoyle-in-Chief . The campaigns would do well to remember this, and maybe get in touch with John Edwards' stylist.

Quote of the Day:
Former Secretary of State COLIN POWELL, interviewed on Good Morning America, when asked if Sen. Barack Obama had enough experience to be president, POWELL SAID:
"HE DIDN'T HAVE A LOT OF EXPERIENCE IN RUNNING A PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN, DID HE?"
What a hoot! Obama wants us to think he has experience --- his only experience is in lying!

WHY HASN'T THE MEDIA BEEN ALL OVER THIS? CHECK IT OUT! I would really like the Larry Sinclair matter to be looked into in MUCH more detail (check out Larry Sinclair on You Tube), or check out this link:

THIS REALLY NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED - THE MEDIA IS IGNORING THE STORY.

Since we are on the subject of looks . . .
Can someone tell me what the heck is that huge bulge on the left side of McCain's face?
--------------------------
McCain had a couple of brushes with skin cancer and has a large amount of scar tissue on the side of his face. He also has scars from being tortured while a POW in Vietnam. He is certainly a tough old bird and has stood up to the campaign trail better than Obama or Hillary. I will probably be voting for McCain this fall. I am not fond of some of his liberal stances, but his views are closer to mine than Obama or Hillary. Personally, I don't find any of the three candidates attractive under any light! But I must admit that whoever is doing Hillary's makeup and chosing her clothing is doing a great job...she is improving all the time.

Just how does this work? Obama is in PA for less than a month and he has already figured out the psyche of working class people.
He spent 20+years in his church but he had no idea that his radical anti-American friend, Jeremiah Wright held the beliefs that he espoused!
When OBAMA figures out his CHURCH --- then he can give us his opinion about working class people in Pennsylvania and other states!
I guess he thinks the people of PA are so stupid and slow they can't remember they had a job during the Clinton administration.
NO OBAMA! We don’t need a president who looks down on us --- we need a president who stands up for us.

Isabella,
I didn't think I was throwing stones. So, you don't think I'm cute?
Tommy Christopher8:30PMApr 11th 2008
Tzada,
yeah, there is a loose assignment procedure. Sometimes, I'll volunteer to do a piece like this, that could be done insensitively, so I can keep it light. The Switched piece is just shy of mean-spirited, I wanted to walk it back a little.
It was either that or do a lengthy treatise on the effects of television on politics, eg the Nixon/Kennedy debate, but it didn't seem to merit that treatment.

So Tommy, why is it that you always answer everyone else's questions and not mine?
JimM8:52PMApr 11th 2008
Yes, okay I believe you. But I only have an old black and white TV set. Would you please do a poll on who looks best on one of these?
This so important. I almost almost always base my vote on who looks the best. It is certainly the most telling quality in a candidate.
Aloha and Aloha
On The Obama bus9:47PMApr 11th 2008
Do you ever wonder why so many people are getting on the Barack Hussein Obama bus?
Could it be that this nation is becoming colorblind and does not care if a good person is black, white, red or tan?
Could it be that the American people don't care if a person worships as a Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu, or Jew?
Could it be that people remember the scandals of the Clinton years?
Could it be that the American people remember Bush and McCain looking into our eyes and saying, "believe me there are weapons of mass destruction"?
Could it be that the American people are shell shocked that 4,000 precious lives have been lost fighting the wrong war in the wrong country?
Could it be that the American people have noticed that the people that know the Clinton's best are working on the Obama Campaign?
Could it be that the American people have noticed how mean spirited the Clinton's have become – and will no longer tolerate their type of campaigning?

Obama is truly showing himself for the rat that he is. Wake up America! He doesn't care a thing about promoting anybody but himself. We need Hillary Clinton. We can still save the nominating process and the Democratic Party, if we do the right thing in the primaries left to come. Let's not let the rest of America down. Decisive wins for Hillary in all remaining primaries will put Obama back in his rightful place- a rookie senator. We can still do this and I know the rest of "US" is counting on us. One last thing, where are the ranting raves by the MSM on this issue and why aren't they running this over and over again???????
Nick11:13AMApr 12th 2008
Tommy, you answer all the easy questions people ask that don't require you to actually do much thinking. The only time you have answered me was when you were saying something like this

So why don't answer some questions worth answering for once?
When do you plan on telling us why it is that you support Obama? What qualifications of his make you think he is the best candidate to be president of the United States?
It's clear to see he's the candidate you support with all your pro-obama posts.
And don't give me a load of crap and say he is the only candidate who can unify America and bring a new kind of politics to Washington because that's just a bunch of bullshit.
CONCERNED1:57PMApr 12th 2008
Obama did not need to mention that all these bitter small town people he is talking about are white people, and they are so dumb not supporting him for President but instead they hug their guns and their crosses.
If Hillary gave a talk about how the plight in the inner cities had led to bitter people who just join gangs, buy guns and kill and rape, that would have been a major racist comment, but never Obama when he speaks of white people in the small towns in PA.
Obama, we know what you are talking about and we have cirled the day-April 22nd.
WE DON'T NEED A PRESIDENT WHO LOOKS DOWN ON US --- WE NEED A PRESIDENT WHO WILL STAND UP FOR US!
HILLARY 2008!

The Washington Post today 4-11-08 --"But those with wealth and power also have played a critical role in creating Obama's record-breaking fundraising machine, and their generosity has earned them a prominent voice in shaping his campaign.
Seventy-nine "bundlers," five of them billionaires, have tapped their personal networks to raise at least $200,000 each. They have helped the campaign recruit more than 27,000 donors to write checks for $2,300, the maximum allowed. Donors who have given more than $200 account for about half of Obama's total haul, which stands at nearly $240 million.
HASN'T ANYONE NOTICED---REZKO TRIAL HAS ALREADY POINTED OUT THAT REZKO GAVE MONEY TO DONORS TO GIVE TO THE OBAMA CAMPAIGN IN 2003 AND THEN PAID THEM BACK BREAKING FEDERAL LAWS. HE IS DOING IT AGAIN AND EVERYONE IS JUST SITTING BACK AND LETTING HIM DO IT??????
