Debate: Stephanopolous Gets Ideas From Hannity
Hello from the site of tonight's ABC Debate between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. We're having a gorgeous day here today in Philly and I wandered around the site of the debate - the National Constitution Center - a little before I came in.

Clinton supporters are out in droves across the street. There were only two lone Obama supporters trying to get the attention of the cars and Ride the Ducks vehicles among the din of Hillary screamers. I'll check later if the Obama people got off their butts and got out here.
For some pre-debate coverage, my friend Paddy pointed me to a story at Daily Kos about George Stephanopolous' pre-debate prep. Apparently he was on Sean Hannity's radio program yesterday and Sean wants some questions answered!
When Hannity asked about the first question below about Ayers and whether George had plans to ask such a question, George replied, "Well, I'm taking notes now Sean." It did actually sound like he was pausing to take notes. And Hannity continued to feed him more:
1.Ask Obama about his relationship with Ayers and WeatherUnderground and Axelrod's comments, "They're friendly"
2.Ask Obama why he attended the Million Man March
So you Ayers afficianados out there may get your wish! These televised debates this cycle have broken all kinds of records and you may just get to hear your favorite question asked and answered in front of a huge television audience. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! :-)

That would really surprise me if it was mentioned.
I think the "oil company" thing might come up...Did you see Hillary's response ad to Obama's "I'm the only one who does not take oil company money and I am the only one who does not take lobbyist money."
Well, no one takes oil company money--not for 100 years. Hillary proves Obama is a liar in ad and shows how he does actually take oil loot: "Pocket":http://youtube.com/watch?v=z4J2u3PHk5A
Plus, on USA Today, on the cover, Obama is busted lying about being the only candidate who doesn't take Washington money...

Those questions for Obama are all OK if you also ask Hillary about Snipergate, Whitewater, Castle Grande, Bill's support of Colombia Trade agreement, etc. Just to be fair!

tedman:
If he denied working with Bill Ayers on the Woods Fund for three years, there would be a very bad reaction.
Bill Ayers was also a fundraiser for Obama and he also contributed money to his campaign.
Obama won't lie, he's not THAT audacious. I think he's talked about it before actually...
BUT, like I said, it would really surprise me if it is mentioned at the debate.

I hope George S. asks these two questions, but I believe he will dance around them as he always does. I think that he is just now being asked some the of hard questions. I really don't know if George will even ask them, but Hannity would. I will be watching.

it is not a matter of taking money from oil companies, but giving them welfare

OBAMA SAID HE WAS RAISED BY A SINGLE MOTHER ON FOOD STAMPS. HIS MOTHER HAD TWO HUSBANDS, AND OBAMA HAD WEALTHY GRANDPARENTS IN HAWAII. I HEARD HE LIVED IN KENYA, IDONESHIA, AND HAWAII. THERE ARE FOOD STAMPS IN THESE COUNTRIES. JUST CURIOUS
On The Obama Bus5:12PMApr 16th 2008
Do you ever wonder why so many people are getting on the Barack Hussein Obama bus?
Could it be that this nation is becoming colorblind and does not care if a good person is black, white, red or tan?
Could it be that the American people don’t care if a person worships as a Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu, or Jew?
Could it be that people remember the scandals of the Clinton years?
Could it be that the American people know that if it was not for the Clinton’s filth and scandals that Al Gore would be completing his second term in office.
Could it be that the American people remember Bush and McCain looking into our eyes and saying, “believe me there are weapons of mass destruction”?
Could it be that the American people are shell shocked that over 4,000 precious lives have been lost fighting the wrong war in the wrong country against the wrong enemy?
Could it be that the American people have noticed that the people that know the Clinton’s best are working on the Obama Campaign?
Could it be that the American people have noticed how mean spirited the Clinton’s have become – and will no longer tolerate their type of campaigning?

MAYBE STEPHANOPOLOUS SHOULD ASK HILLARY ABOUT THIS.
------------------------------------------------------
In January 1995, as the Clintons were licking their wounds from the 1994 congressional elections, a debate emerged at a retreat at Camp David. Should the administration make overtures to working class white southerners who had all but forsaken the Democratic Party? The then-first lady took a less than inclusive approach.
"Screw 'em," she told her husband. "You don't owe them a thing, Bill. They're doing nothing for you; you don't have to do anything for them."
NOBAMA5:27PMApr 16th 2008
George S. should just ask Obama how he expects to win in November when only 30% of white people will vote for him. Let him give you his Obama math theory.

The media gives Obama a free pass. Cnn is now ONN. Obama is a divider not uniter. Have George S. ask him about Larry SInclair. I would love to know more.
wanakeeh5:39PMApr 16th 2008
Who gives a damn about who knows who and whether Obama went to the million man march? What's wrong with men marching to help a group of men stand up to their responsiblities? This is some really twisted stuff and Stephanopolous is a Clinton operative. ABC, Jake Tapper, Charlie Gibson and the Disney empire are all trying to prop us Hillary's dead candidacy or kill Obama's chances trying!
Last Chance5:51PMApr 16th 2008
Here's another situation Stephanopolous should ask about tonight. Pennsylvania, Kentucky and North Carolina voters take notice. She is saying "Screw You"

HUMOROUS DEMOCRAT6:01PMApr 16th 2008
Hillary Clinton was out jogging one morning along the parkway when she tripped, fell over the bridge railing and landed in the creek below.
Before the Secret Service guys could get to her, 3 kids who were fishing pulled her out of the water. She was so grateful she offered the kids whatever they wanted.
The first kid said, 'I want to go to Disneyland' Hillary said, 'No problem, I'll take you there on my special Senator's airplane.'
The second kid said, 'I want a new pair of Nike Air Jordan 's.' Hillary said, 'I'll get them for you and even have Michael sign them!!'
The third kid said, 'I want a motorized wheelchair with a built in TV and stereo headset!'
Hillary was a little perplexed by this and said, 'But you don't look like you're handicapped.'
The kid said, 'I will be after my dad finds out I saved your ass from drowning.

I find it only fair that questions of this type be available for both candidates. Below are a few that you should pose to Senator Clinton during this evening's debate:
1) Did Bill Clinton take the $800,000 donation from the Saudi Arabian royal family before or after the 9/11 tragedy?
2) If they accepted payment before, then was it to purchase political clout which would ensure that their country would be the number one oil export producer?
3) If they took the donation after 9/11, then why did they not consider the fact that many of the hijackers were natives of that country?
4) How many foreign business partnerships are they involved with currently and with what nation(s)?
5) How many American citizens are employed within each of these businesses they have active financial interests?
These questions should shed more than enough light for blue collar voters in Pennsylvania! America does not need another leader that puts foreign interests first, and will make decisions based on personal lucrative gain. America is about to grow up during this election, and we can all finally stop suffering with the poor decision making from our political leaders of the past!

You would be surprised how many of us old white guys and gals will be voting for Obama. Our kids in college convinced us that it will be the best way to make sure the country is in good shape when they come to power.

That first one would be one freaky question - and I assume he would deny it
The second would improve his standing with Blacks - he might get that last 10%
I would ask given the reception Rev Wright had at the service/vigil for him on 3/31 - is he not still a major time figure at the Church and what happened to the promise to quit that Church?
