Florida's Got Faith
"What Would Jesus Drive?" Florida may be providing a partial answer: He'd drive a car with their proposed new license plate:

Florida is also considering a plate with the inscription, "In God We Trust." Profits from specialty (vanity) plates - of which Florida has a selection of about 100 - go to various charities and worthy courses.
Of course, such freedom of expression has anti-civil-liberties groups, such as the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), screaming mad. In their tireless quest to oppress the equal-rights of Christian Americans, the ACLU has threatened to sue Florida - hoping that the fear of a lengthy, expensive litigation will bully the state into abandoning the rights of religious citizens.
The ACLU has traditionally lost court battles predicated upon the argument that states establish a civil religion by allowing private persons to spend extra money to buy specialty plates with their preferred religious motto. The ACLU has unsuccessfully challenged plates engraved with, "In God We Trust." The ACLU has also attempted to prohibit "Choose Life" plate - because people with different opinions than those held by the ACLU should not have the full exercise of their civil liberties.
In the present case, the ACLU lamented that approval of the plate might prompt other groups to seek their own designs. Heavens forbid that a civil liberties group would support a diversity of expression in America.

OUR voices must heard or we vote for MC Cain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Part 1
You people out there educate yourself every day what is going on in
this world!! Do not support Obama because he is black, excellent
speaker, can move people, and you believe everything he says.:)
Did Hitler's educated young followers supported him by the millions
and they were blind indeed.
If Obama would be the president Islam would celebrate all over the
world!!!
Obama is a great speaker but not a leader in the time we are in war!!
He says: I did not vote for war 8 years ago etc, so it is good for
him but we need to think right now, what is the smartest way to end
the war. Not pulling out the troop!! No way! Iran would move to Iraq
and Al Quida would be everywhere and we would be in more danger than
we ever been!!

Part 2
You people supporting Obam read the news! Educate yourself before you
vote for the wrong person. Obama never will win the general election
because he has now 2, not one but 2 spiritual advisors, wright and
the other black preacher and both preach hate about the white
America. Whom are the racist in this election? How many blacks
support Obama? Amount 90%+. Now you know the blacks are the
racists!!!
JFK to me was not a good president but he said" Do not ask what your
country can do for you but ask what you can do for your country!!!
Obama is asking the USA government to do everything for the lazy,
uneducated, drug dealers, criminals, blacks instead he would get a
job to organizing these uneducated blacks to go to school. Till they
will be without a HS degree their life's will not change.
Obama should preach about education and not asking help from America.
If you get an education you can do anything you want.
I am a legal immigrant, bilingual and from the start I came America
and had good jobs!! All jobs are great! It is not ashamed to work for
Wall Mart etc.

I also support Senator Hillary Clinton!!!!!!!!!!! She is a great
and smart lady with 33 years experiences and she looks presidential
all the time. Obama says anywhere he goes the same, I promises you to
change everything but never says how he would do anything. The weakest
presidential candidate if it comes to treat all people equally and he
is only for the blacks, kind of black at South Chicago who were
criminals, drug dealers and none of them had a HS diploma, bums.
Please vote for Hillary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Annie10:23AMApr 24th 2008
We Floridians are tired to left out!!!!!! We love Hillary and our voices must count or we all vote for MC Cain! Obama is a loser, afraid to answer hard questions, lol and doesn't want to debate at NC and Indiana, so sad. He never will be the president of the USA!!

This is a very good idea. I like it. It is good to have license plates for religions -- I am looking forward to purchasing the "Allah Akbar" plate with a prominent Crescent Moon over a traditional Mosque. May Mohamed His Prophet (peace be upon him) bless this good and Great State of Florida.

As for the plates, we have many many many plates, here in Florida. People pay extra to have them too. The state earns more money. There is a process that has to be gone thorough to get one approved. A new one came out today for service people lost in the Iraq war.
Most people blame the two Iraq wars on Bush I and Bush II. Take the time to read this and you may be more than a little surprised. I was shocked about the Carter connection
“The Chicago Way“…. Also called all roads lead to Chicago from Iraq.
To call it a conspiracy may sound like an overstatement. On examination by definition* that is what it is. So let's give it a name, lets call it “The Chicago Way.” ……
There are links between the weakening of the US economy ,with high oil prices, the sub prime mess and the devaluation of the dollar.
Food prices are rising and already limited rationing is happening. Some say that panic buying is fueled by the MSM. Which could result in “panic” buying which could lead to shortages.
The media has been a guiding hand in the 2008 election. We have all seen their ill disguised bias in favor of one candidate. ***
In addition there is a move to deny gun ownership rights. The recent gun attacks in Chicago are highly suspicious,as was the closing of those four Catholic schools. The candidates records on gun control is important. Germany and the holocaust should have given us insight…
Democratic Super Delegates are attempting to disband The Electoral College was set up by the founding fathers, in the Constitution.
These so called Super Delegates have stolen Michigan and Florida's votes. Is this an attempt to insure a Democratic win, to insure in fact the “chosen “ candidate wins?
In addition, Super Delegate, Jimmy Carter made a trip to Syria, his meeting with the leader of Hamas, should bring up questions ** Also to be asked is why would Barack Obama’s church support Hamas? Why would a former President meet with them?
Former President Carter, has given Obama his “wink “of approval. What he has also done is pass along Zbigniew Brzezinski, his former head of foreign policy. The history between Zbigniew Brzezinski and Carter needs to be examined, the reasons behind his placement with Obama questioned.
Brzezinski decided in 1976 to foment the rise of Islamic fundamentalism. This cost the lives of an estimated 1.3 million Afghans and spawned the creation of al Qaeda, the Mujahedin, the Taliban and Osama bin Laden. Not hard to see a connection, that lead to attacks on Americans and ultimately to 9/11.
The 1980 Carter Doctrine, which announced that the United States was determined to dominate the Persian Gulf against all comers, is at the root of the first Gulf War, of the present Iraq war, and of the clash with Iran which could come at any moment.
All roads lead between Chicago and Iraq lets just call it the “Chicago Way”
Notes:
* CONSPIRACY - 18 U.S.C. 371 makes it a separate Federal crime or offense for anyone to conspire or agree with someone else to do something which, if actually carried out, would amount to another Federal crime or offense. So, under this law, a 'conspiracy' is an agreement or a kind of 'partnership' in criminal purposes in which each member becomes the agent or partner of every other member.
A conspiracy theory usually attributes the ultimate cause of an event or chain of events (usually political, social or historical events), or the concealment of such causes from public knowledge,to a secret, and often deceptive plot by a group of powerful or influential people or organizations.
*** Also a large Chicago papers manipulation of the court system helped significantly in Obama's state election. (Thanks Kathryn.)
**A designated terrorist organization that has the support of Obama's church. Hamas is a direct arm of the Muslim Brotherhood, whose memo declares they will destroy America from the inside.
"It is the nature of Islam to dominate, not to be dominated, to impose its law on all nations and to extend its power to the entire planet." Hasan al-Banna, the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood

The point is that the guy proposing the plate has said he does not want any other religion or belief to have their own plate. He has said he would oppose an "I Don't Believe" plate or a plate for the Jewish religions or others. There is a "Choose Life" anti-abortion plate, but no pro-choice plate.
I agree with Poster #1... no opinion or belief should be endorsed by the government at all. But if you're going to start putting Christian plates out there, you need to make sure there are religious plates available for other groups. I mean, the goal is more money, right?
Christians need to stop their whining. They are the majority in this country and yet they always whine about being oppressed. Gimme a break! Also, the ACLU has supported numerous Christians in law suits concerning their freedom of religion, including taking on schools on the behalf of Christian children so that they could pray before their lunches. Get over yourselves!

James Carville had it right --- the candidates should get together and discuss several issues at hand. SPECIFICALLY, THE VOTERS FROM MICHIGAN AND FLORIDA, who, at this moment will be the best contender against McCain. They need to discuss the patriotism issue, and a number of other issues that relate to the real problems we are facing in this country.
Forget about the pundits and the media, because they are the problem that's causing all this mess.
Obama needs to debate in Indiana and North Carolina. He needs to agree to count Florida and let Michigan re-vote. We have 50 states --- not 48.
Even before all the controversy on Obama started, I was concerned about Obama’s lack of experience. Apparently he is only comfortable reading a speech from a teleprompter. If he can’t think on his feet, we certainly don’t need him pushing the button! Everyone knows Hillary Clinton. Nobody really knows who Barack Hussein Obama is.
COUNT FLORIDA AND MICHIGAN OR McCAIN WILL WIN IN NOVEMBER!
BE CAREFUL WHO YOU VOTE FOR!
SMALL TOWN GIRL10:46PMApr 25th 2008
If the Press had been more responsible and exposed Obama earlier he would NEVER have won as many states as he did. The media suppressed the information for months and let voters be deceived. They attacked Hilary and puffed up Obama trying to run this election. Then Obama lied about his connections to Wright, Ayers, Rezko, Farrakhan and his wife's comments.
Last time I checked, Florida and Michigan were part of the 50 UNITED States.
Constitutionally, how can you elect a president for the 50 UNITED States with only counting 48 of them?
As for Pelosi, she is getting more obnoxious and acts like a bimbo at times. Remember, she is that "wealthy" woman from San Francisco --- the city where Obama slandered us rural, small-town, blue-collar, bitter Americans, who believe in Jesus Christ.
It is not his color that is turning us off, it is all the baggage and bad judgments in his short career that comes with him. We can't afford "Bone-headed mistakes" and "Mis-speaks" in this troubled world.
MichelleG12:29PMApr 27th 2008
I thought the ACLU's purpose was to fight for the rights of everyone, yet they often try to oppress the rights of certain groups. Which goes totally against what they supposedly stand for.

I personally wouldn't have a problem with anyone wearing such vanity license plates, considering that they're pretty much bumper stickers but larger. But they shouldn't be state-sanctioned, even if they represent a diversity of opinion (e.g. pro-choice plates sold alongside pro-life plates), and even if I knew every penny of the profit does indeed go charitable causes.
Why? Because NO OPINION should ever be endorsed or sanctioned by the government, especially those that possess philosophical gravity. This is an instance where the private sector would be preferred.
