Mr Wright was eloquent and made a lot of sense. The blue collar people of this country only have an attention span of 15 seconds, so Mr Wright's amswers were too long for them to process.
Pat Robertson is much worse than this guy could ever be,
Splash12:31AMApr 26th 2008
Shirley - You are right. Obama could have been honest, but then again, that just would not have been in sync liberal way.
jvaink12:34AMApr 26th 2008
Mr Wright is a former Marine and an educated man. That intimidates uneducated white people. the south is full of uneducated dummies who listen to guys like Pat Roberstson. There's the lunitic.

to divide the votes 50/50 still disinfranchies half the vote. actually more like 75/25
I say again they must count as voted. stop using the fact Obama was not on Michigan ballot. stop saying the candidates are in any way to blame for this mess.
it is the DNC and the republican governers who need to take responsibility for what has happened.
the DNC should never have punished the people of either state. they should have handled this in a completely different manner.
Florida was able to vote for either candidate. and Hillary was their choice.
knowing Michigan was not going to count, all the candidates but Hillary took their names off the ballot. whether Hillary was right or wrong, she allowed the people of Michigan to vote for her if they wanted to.
the DNC should never have set up these stupid rules.
but the truth is the people of both these states deserve respect.
I ask again who among any of the readers on these posts is willing to let someone take your vote away from you.
because by splitting the vote, people still get disinfranchised, and that makes this a corrupt, and illegal election, not that it isn't even without this
WE live in the greatest nation in the world and the world is watching us, what a real laughing stock we must be.
anyone can see how this whole primary has been nothing but a farce.
caucuses that were corrupt. people who were there say so,
republicans pretending to cross over to help Obama get the nomination, to keep Hillary from beating McCain
racism at it's highest, with the majority of blacks voting for Obama just because he is black, yet he is only half black, but he only embraces his black side
The Rev Wright
Ayer's
his deep association with more than questionable muslims,
the hamas wanting Obama to win
Obama's insult on small town America and it's values.
Florida and Michigan
the list goes on and on.
I know who I voted for in my primary, and would be mad as hell if someone else no matter who they were could give my vote to someone else.
we get one vote and one vote only, it is ours and ours alone. we choose, and use that one vote as it is a prize, because it is.
it stands for our freedom, our right of free choice. it is something special that even after we give it to the person we choose, so they may use it with all the others who offer their's as well. and yet it still remains ours.
how many of us have said, I didn't vote for so and so, it wasn't my vote that got so and so elected. My vote. MY VOTE.
our vote is a very personal thing. and nothing and no one should be allowed to change it, or why vote at all.
either florida and Michigan count or we have a ntiion wide do over, and end this farce once and for all.

Splash,
I think for the first time on this blog, I agree with you. I normally do not post, I just read.
I think it is time we took Our Great Nation back. Time for another party besides the corrupt Dems and Republicans.
I think Hillary should go Independent and run in Nov.

If Obama wanted to say anything to win, he would have totally rejected Rev. Wright from the beginning...But old Hill would have done that. She would have rejected her mother to win this election.
Someone that self-absorbed about winning doesn't care about Americans. That's how Bush won against Gore. He was willing to do any manipulative thing to win. That whole mess in Florida about dippled chads, was a dippled election orchestrated by the Bush connections.
We are living in a changed world. If Americans continue to believe that this business as usual politics is going to sustain us another four years, we may as bend over an take it!

nothing much has changed my opinion about him (the rev.}he was so nice and talked so quiet i thought he was a politian tonight. i think he said what he had to say to try to ease some of the bad press his has caused Obama.when we as a people are trying to get along with all the different races and religions that are here in this country and then we hear the rev, mean and hateful words its hard to forget them, sound bites ??? i dont think so, even the little ones he said ,he said many little ones here and there to his congregation, enough that they would carry some bitterness outside to a country that is or was trying to make the world better for all people. we cannot make progress in this country with reverends preaching division .now that it is stuck in are brains it hard not to see the rev. when we see Barack OBAMA when you add Farragon (and the rev, just loves him ), throw in ayers, rezko and his wifes remarks, then Obama himself, talking about pa.white people and there faith guns, and how they dont like people who are differnt then they are !!! what a thing to say when you cant join his church unless your black!!!! just a few reasons why white people are having second thoughts about him(Obama) Hillary has done her share to,McCain is too old and forgets things, we really dont have very good choices. i voted for Huckabee, his gone now i,m going to find out more about john paul, the media didn,t like him or they thought he wouldn,t make interesting news ,but he does have good credentials . i looked them up on the net he really is what we need, no frills, no double talk he tells it like it is, i think thats why we didnt listen to him when they let him talk(media) which wasn,t often.we all want to live in a polyanna world. we all better stop arguing and find a way to get this country back on her feet. LORD HELP US
God Bless America12:42AMApr 26th 2008
I thought the rev wright appearance was very positive and showed that he is a good man with good intentions. When you see his sermons in full context it's clear they are not "extreme" liked what was displayed in the media sound bites.
Let us not forget that horn dog Billy asked him to come to the WH for a soul-searching meeting. We all know you're not invited to the WH if you're an extremist! Especially by a president who is facing impeachment!
Message to clinton lemmings: pull your heads out of the sand and start thinking for yourself! It's very enlightening!

Hey vig,
Hillary has said many times she would NOT visit the leader of Hamas yet when former president Carter did last week she has remained silent on the subject. Even Obama has criticized how carter handled the trip.
Why the tight lips from Hillary? Let me spell it out for you vig...carter is a super-delegate and Hillary needs to play nice. She says one thing but does another. Most people would say she is acting like a politician!
Splash12:45AMApr 26th 2008
Shirley - Now that is a very interesting take; an Independant Liberal Hillary against a Ultra Liberal Obama against a Moderate, Semi-lib McCain.
Throw Nadar in there and I am in love with the idea that we have a president elected with only a third of the popular vote (or a run off? Not sure how that would work). Serves the populous right.
Marsha12:46AMApr 26th 2008
The only reason Obama's name was not on the Michigan ballot was that Obama had it removed. A very political move. I wonder how many people Oprah has on her paroll advising her "Favorite candidate"?
Katherine12:47AMApr 26th 2008
LOL. Obama supporters are stupid. Anytime someone says anything remotely negative about Obama, they say it is a lie. E.v.e.r.y. s.i.n.g.l.e. time. These are the people voting, people who will believe everything he says without researching him. They do that because they have been conditioned to "Believe." Also, notice Axelrod is the one who started the "She'll do anything to win..." thing...and they all parrot it, but the truth is, it's exactly opposite, Obama will say anything to win, Obama is a pathological liar. He's the biggest scam I have ever witnessed in my life.
--Wright says Obama will just say what he has to say to get in the White House.
--Farrakhan says Obama will say what he has to say to get in the White House.
--The New Black Panthers say Obama will say what he has to say to get in the White House.
--Ali Abunimah says Obama will say what he has to say to get in the White House.
Nobody is stupid. We know that he has to back away from certain people and stay REAL easy when he talks about Israel and Palestine because it's true, he DOES have to simply SAY what he HAS TO to get in the White House.
Actions speak louder than words--ALWAYS. It is important to look into him, and I don't mean his books that he wrote that have been partially debunked. Look to his voting record, look how he became a senator, look who his Kenyan family is...his Indonesian family...look to see the organizations he worked for, who he worked with, who he spent a great deal of time with, who he raised money for, and who were his fundraisers that he was close to? Look at Obama's very close friend who approached him in law school and follow his case: the Tony Rezko trial is on right now--not covered nationally. It's a multiple defendant trial, but most people don't know that. It's serious, Tony Rezko was working with several people from the Saddam Hussein regime. Try Nadhmi Auchi or Alsammarae...no big deal? The corruption is so terrible, Obama is so terribly corrupt. And there's just so much more, and it piles on every single day. If average Americans can easily look up people in his life and organizations, and on and on, then OF COURSE there are serious people at the top who have some concerns about him. I just wonder what they are going to do about it all.

This man is unsettling....he appears to be trying to be calm, but anyone with insight, and is aware of body language, can see beyond ....can hear between the lines.......arrogance,deceit,lies,mockery,hidden anger, egotistic gloat.....................no need to look any further to see where O'Bama picked up these character flaws.
MB12:52AMApr 26th 2008
funny ... a spokesman for the Hamas has just endorsed Obama for president. Curious? Not really considering ALL of the company he consorts with. Wake up America!
Lin Cruiz12:53AMApr 26th 2008
In "small towns" in Pa. , where overwhelmingly the vote was Hillary...her support came from the doctors, lawyers,Ceo's, teachers, phd's, post graduate educated, educated school of hard knocks....the mental health population, and welfare poor ,many uneducated were voting for O'bama!!! Interesting!!!!
Shirley12:57AMApr 26th 2008
I have one more thing to say tonight, then I'm outta here. This does not just apply to Hillary, but every woman supporter of Hillary's. The DNC wants this settled, which means TKO for Hillary, so the party will have time to "Heal". They really think we will forget and cave. They have the same idea Obama has.
We have short memory spans according to the DNC. We will unite and everything will be just Great!
NOT!!!
Come November I and quite a few more will remember how we did not "count".
Final Words for the Night.......
Hell hath no fury.........
