AFA Promotes Open-Mouthed Gay Kissing
The American Family Association, founded by Rev. Don Wildmon, posted the video below with the headline, "Procter & Gamble promotes explicit open-mouth homosexual kissing." AFA's website ran a story urging members to contact P&G:
(AFA President Tim) Wildmon encourages people to contact P&G and let them know they do not support such blatant promotion of the homosexual agenda. And while P&G officials say they want to treat everyone equally, the AFA president argues the company is alienating its core base. The delicious irony here is that the "As the World Turns" clip that they posted is the #1 video on Youtube today, bringing the soapy gay content to a whole new audience that's probably in school when the show airs.

I see the holy roller crowd is up to their usual nonsense. "As the World Turns" and Procter & Gamble have been around a lot longer than "The American Family Association."
A few years ago, some other religious group tried a boycott of Procter & Gamble for offering partner benefits to its employees. Needless to say, they failed. Last I checked, folks are still buying Tide Detergent and Crest Toothpaste; and Procter & Gamble remains a successful corporation.
Can't these folks find something better to occupy their time?

The people from the AFA need to get a life. I'm a heterosexual female and it doesn't bother me in the least. Luke and Noah are two young people in love. They deserve to kiss like all the straight couples do.

Date and time of post to WWW.cnn.com/caffertyfile
The time and date above is a comment I sent to Jack Cafferty of CNN at his blog,
Essentially the question that JACK asked was: Is Hillary deluding herself if she thinks she can win the democratic nomination.
Below is the comment I posted. And the reason why, is that if you read the comments on his blog 90+% are pro-Obama or ones bashing Hillary Clinton. If you post an anti-Obama remark--it is gone.
After numerous attempts in trying to do so, I posted the following comment. My comment remained on the Blog as the last comment -- #160 for 2 days. And this even after comments were closed for this article. Now it is gone. I guess Jack thinks someone would not keep checking. He has made a mistake.
So now I am posting this comment for the world to see. Maybe now many of you will now know for sure why your comment does not get posted.
Do yourselves a favor, please all go there to this blog and post. You will soon find out that "CNN is not the most trusted name in the news."
MY POST TO JACK CAFFERTY BELOW
============================================================================
No, she is not.
But you are Jack. If you think that you can continue to delete, remove posts, or not allow certain people to post comments that are anti-Obama from your blog, you are mistaken
So here's the deal. If this message is not seen on your blog, I am going to post all over the Internet the substance of this post. It gets so frustrating that someone that is supposed to be in a position of trust would do something like this.
You would make a good dictator. My way is the only way. My opinion is the only opinion. All other opinions do not matter.
In a sense this a betrayal of one of the most important American values–freedom of expression

Read on and we will see how Rev James Meeks one of Barck Obama’s spiritual mentors feels about homosexuals……and others.
"In April 2004, Barack Obama told a reporter from the Chicago Sun-Times that he had three spiritual mentors or counselors: Jeremiah Wright, James Meeks, and Father Michael Pfleger.”
Rev James Meeks was described in a 2004 Chicago Sun Times article as someone Barack Obama regularly seeks out for "spiritual counsel,"
So now we've got another hateful bigot who spews divisive venom like this from the pulpit:
“We don’t have slave masters. We got mayors. But they still the same white people who are presiding over systems where black people are not able, or to be educated.”
“You got some preachers that are house niggers. You got some elected officials that are house niggers. And rather than them trying to break this up, they gonna fight you to protect this white man.”
He is also a key member of Chicago's 'Gatekeepers' network, an interracial group of evangelical ministers who strive to erase the division between church and state" and is "a stalwart anti-gay activist...
Each year Salem Baptist Church where Meeks, an independent state senator, was the pastor, holds a haunted house. This event is called "Nights of Terror”. On that Halloween night, Rev Meeks consigned to the flames of hell the following. A pedophile, two young men, who minced around in a paraded of being homosexuals and a meditating Buddhist.
One more connection between Obama and Rev Meeks. The Chicago Sun Times has also reported that both Meeks and Obama share a history of substantial campaign contributions from indicted real estate magnate Tony Rezko.

Is Obama a member of AFA? I believe at the next debate--if he will stop wimping out--would be a good time to ask.
Tell him open mouth kissing is normal among heterosexuals, if he does not know.

Has anyone besides me noticed how society has eroded over the years? I'm 50 years old, and I've noticed a steady downward spiral of morality and ethics. Things that used to be taboo are now mainstream. Those old values many of us "boomers" were raised by seem to have been pushed aside in favor of tolerance and politically correct attitudes.
The internet has something to do with it. Things that were never seen or talked about are now only a few mouse clicks away. Kids are coming home from school to empty houses, watching porn and playing violent video games. Sex and violence are prevalent in our society. Some of it is perverted and disgusting.
There is sexual innuendos in prime time TV. For example, on the TV show "Friends", Phoebe was talking to Joey about her boyfriend, that they had went out three times, and she was wondering when he was going to "give it up". In another episode, she was giving a handsome man a massage. She got carried away and bit him on his butt.
I'm not anti-sex. I love it just as much as anyone. I guess I'm just old-fashioned about it. I don't think it should be a spectator sport.
I keep hearing about women, and even young girls, being abducted, sexually assaulted, and murdered. Many are never found. It breaks my heart into. I can't help but wonder if it's because of the way sex and violence plays such a dominant part of our culture. If it's bad now, I wonder how it will be 10 or 20 years from now?

DavesRaves.......agree with you, big time. Personally I don't have anything against gays. It just blows my mind that there are so many beautiful women out there, and they would rather be with someone that has the same thing they do. They say they are born that way, which is probably true, but I think the majority of those who turn to the gay side are just weak in the mind and are not confident of being a "MAN"

I remember going to Wal-mart with my mother-in-law. We needed, among other things, bleach. We went to the bleach aisle and I reached for the Clorox.
My M-I-L shrieked. "We're boycotting them!" she said. I was like who and she told me it was the AFA. Apparently they were boycotting Clorox and various other products for supporting sexually explicit and violent tv shows with their advertising dollars.
I shrugged and said, "Ahhh, those boycotts don't work." My M-I-L informed me that it had worked; Clorox was no longer supporting THOSE shows. I said, "So we can buy Clorox, then?" And she said, "ABSOLUTELY NOT!"
I went home and promptly told my wife we were getting a divorce so I could buy Clorox.
Seriously though, I checked into it and, in fact, the boycott hadn't worked at all. In fact, for the next 3 quarters Clorox made substantial profits. So I bought stock. I made lots of dividends and sold it two years ago for twice what I paid for it. Clorox thanks the AFA for their boycott.
I am reminded of a relatively unknown group called 2 Live Crew who shot to stardom in 1990 after they were the target of the AFA who sued, claiming that the profanity label wasn't enough to protect our children from the sexually explicit lyrics of their album As Nasty As They Wanna Be. Ultimately the AFA lost their suit. As a result, As Nasty As They Wanna Be sold over 2 million copies and its biggest hit Me So Horny topped out at #29 on the Billboard charts.
The ultimate bottom line was the attention it gave to rap music. The AFA aided and abetted the rise of hip hop music. So the next time you are sitting at a traffic light and the music coming from the bright purple, low-riding, backend bouncing pimp mobile in the next lane is so loud it is shaking the pavement your car is riding on you can thank the AFA for their fantabulously 'successful' boycotting strategy.

Not to out-"boomer" ya, but...
To your ending question:
"...I wonder how it will be 10 or 20 years from now?"
Maybe folks trying to get us to do what they want will be more skilled at Youtube...

I would say Mr Christopher has crossed the line in tabloid journalism but I don't think he has a line.
Disgusting.

Old Lady USA - Oh yes, it is American all right. When you think about it, many 'American 'groups want their 'speech' protected, but have plenty of other forms of 'speech' that they would have censored.
They just don't realize that the day they succeeded in censoring speech found offensive, they would be placing the freedom of their own speech in peril.
Tommy Christopher11:27PMApr 26th 2008
Don'tThink,
what are you talking about? Seriously, I don't get it. Do you mean the headline? Because that's a takeoff on AFA's headline.
Diana12:12AMApr 27th 2008
Didn't Tipper Gore have something to do with the AFA years ago? This liplock was innocuous as compared to the tonsil hockeying, tongue-in-cheek rolling, french kissing engaged in by their heterosexual counterparts. And furthermore, who kisses with closed lips anymore except when the intended is a relative? Get real. I suspect that the likes of Wildmon aren't getting enough at home or are secretly jonesing for a hot intern or sex in bathroom stalls. Any P&G product boycott would be ineffective.
NURSERATCHET3:49AMApr 27th 2008
What's all the fuss about? I've seen more passion than that of Family Feud!
MichelleG10:47AMApr 27th 2008
I don't know, could we really, really call that open mouth? Technically, the mouths were open before the lips made contact, then the mouths closed upon contact. The AFA really should have studied this clip more closely. This is more of what I'd call smooching. Passionate smooching, but smooching nonetheless.
DavesRaves12:12PMApr 27th 2008
To JoeDenver60- I don't have anything personally against gays, either. But whatever happened to "Don't ask, don't tell"?
Homosexuality goes against the natural order of things. It's not what nature intended for humanity. Men and women are made the way they are for a reason. After all, it was Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.

Can you imagin how horrible it must be to have a life so devoid of substance that you need concern yourself with who is sleeping with whom?
Perhaps Rev. Wildmon should take up a hobby. Better still, he could involve himself in issues that matter.
