"World of hate," Katherine? Do you want me to get Susan M to start the WAAH post again? Where is the real "hate" in this campaign?
Perhaps with the "white people" like Goldbraid suddenly becoming experts on what constitutes racism in America? And you call Obama arrogant!
Perhaps its not Rev Wright but the hate-filled rhetoric in response to Rev Wright? Have your read these posts? Or are you gleefully rubbing your hands together while bits of spittle emerge from the corners of your mouth?
I'll have more tomorrow on where the real "hate" rests in this campaign.

Of say 8000 comments, here at AOL and CNN and Washington Post etc., there were about 5000 posters who said in essence
“Wright speaks truth to power -- or some variation of Wright is right”
and those who condemn are wrong.
Well, now that BO has denounced this folly for what it is, a one man vanity show of bravado and nonsense and anger and ego
So now -- you 5000 posters – What do you do now? Do you – yes you - leave BO for dismissing Rev Wright so harshly?
People like me – DEMS who are HRC first and BO second DEMS - and moderates - told you in our posts today that RW on Monday and prior hd gone beyond - was over the top.
But you argued with us. You called us horrible names and called us milder variations of bigots – racist pigs – dumb sound bite listeners- morons – intolerants - those not willing to read the whole sermon – people to easily swayed by a loop on youtube – etc. YOU – yes you - argued with us. Big time
NOW I ask – NOW- Do you argue with BO? He is tossing the REV under the bus? Do you leave BO?
I am really interested how cognitive dissonance and other conflicts will influence you? Your first choice DEM candidate contradicted you!
I look forward to reading new posts from the 5000 of you – as I have no idea how you react. It is strange because us DEMS all the way – HRC first and then BO second – are encouraged and heartened by what BO finally did today. BO, by shoving REV WRIGHT miles away from him - showed courage – political street smarts needed in a GE – and simple common sense. (Although I wonder if he now disowns his white grandmother too – hey – one shot is not too small of me)

What is happening to Obama is sad. now that race is an issue with him its hard for many white people to vote for him. im white i know i,d like to believe him but theres been so much THE rev. HIS wife FARRAGON, the trust many whites felt for him is slipping away. I watched the rev.yesterday morning it was very sad to see how prejudice he was. A minister of all people should be able to forgive peoples sins, the white people who owned slaves have been dead for yrs, GOD has taken care of them, let HIM be the judge of them. I truly hope this country doesn,t go backwards with are race issues ,we have come along way from those times atleast i hope so.GOD HELP US!!!!

If Obama loses, blame Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.
These talk show hosts have done more with their
misguided opinions and views perpetrated on their
gullible listeners than anyones I know.
No matter what Obama does or says, no disowning or
disassociation or disavowing will satisfy these two
hosts who are bent on discrediting a black candidate,
despite the disclaimers they make about why they
are so relentless in their attack. Now that they think they have
"taken him down", perhaps they can not turn their attention to Clinton. As Limbaugh said today, he suspending his Operation Chaos by having Republicans vote for Clinton. And Hannity is now starting his Clinton train wreck.Let's hope they'll dig up her
past about her left wing associations thirty or forty years ago like they did Obama's. Even though, I am a
conservative, I believe in honesty and fairness. I'm so sorry there are many Americans who must make their
decisions based on the opinions of talk show hosts.

As Barney Fife would say about Rev. Wright, 'He's a nut.' Some people know the wright way to make a spectacle of themselves in front of a camera. While it seems difficult to fire your preacher in public, Obama has finally stepped up to the plate - and thrown the nut 'under the bus.' Good for him. Let's move on to something of substance. The one thing I wish Obama would discuss more is economic help for the middle class. There is nothing wrong with helping the poor find their own way, but the heart of america is, right now, under stress.

I get tired og being called a racist I never owned a slave nor did any of my family but because I take offense at being called bitter and and I think in no way is Bo the right man to run this country I am a racist???? When God changed the races at the tower of Babel to confuse man and slow him down We are now looking at how good a job he did....Put a Michael Steel or JC Watts on the ballot and watch how fast american whites vote for either one of them because they ooze the right kind of Character not the dribbling crap that Bo drools

I am amazed that so many people are willing to vouch for what Sen. Obama believes when they really dont know what he believes. It's nice to give him the benefit of the doubt (They say, "I dont think he really believes what Rev. Wright says."), but how do you know that? We size people up by what they do, what they say, and who they spend their time with. Sen. Obama, although he seems like a decent person, has only been on the national scene for 3 years, and has been campaigning for President nearly 2 of the 3 yrs. We do know that he plans to bring the dems and the republicans together, but still he has the most liberal voting record in the Senate. Is that because he cannot bring himself to override the influence of other very powerful people in his party? How on earth will he respond as the President with the entire democratic senate and congress bearing down on him? We also know that he says he has the judgement and knowledge to make the kind of high quality decisions that will be required of the most powerful leader on the planet; yet he was not able to see that this association with Wright(for 20 years) would certainly play into how people frame their perception of him. I think Sen. Obama has great potential, but I also believe he needs time to come into his own - to develop the depth of character and wisdom required for the office to which he aspires; then he will be a leader of influence, not one so easily influenced by others more forceful than himself. By the way, I am a middle-aged African American who's proud to see his successes, but wise enough to know more time is needed for him to become who he is destined to be.

I truly love the way many of you stand up and defend someone you truly do not know. The way you choose to ignore his past and refuse to find out what he is about. Anyone can read good poetry and good poetry sounds better when read by an attractive person. Why are the best actors tend to be attractive?

Yesterday Senator Obama received clear notice from his Pastor that he was not willing to be tossed unceremoniously off the bus. Having had a few weeks to gather himself, the Pastor took his road-show across America. He was chastised, but is now defiant, and his approach was no-holds-barred.
Pastor Wright wanted to accomplish a number of things, but one goal seemed obvious to me; he was banished and hurt and wanted to return the favor. While not attacking Obama is an obvious way, he diminished him to a mere politician saying and doing things for votes and polls. Pastor Wright implied that Obama was insincere in his words to America, that he only said that which seemed politically expedient. In my mind, it didn't take "courage" for senator Obama to harshly denounce his Pastor today. Once again, he did what he needed to do to survive another PR mess...but the mess will continue. Senator Obama told us weeks ago that the Pastor Wright in the "sound bites" was not the man he knew. The man he knew was different, and had been mischaracterized. Yesterday we saw that this was untrue. The Pastor we saw denouncing America, blaming 911 on our mis-deeds as a nation, railing at White America WAS the real Jeremiah Wright. We are asked to believe that suddenly Senator Obama has had a revelation about his Pastor....after a twenty year association. Most Americans will not be satisfied with his answer, because it simply doesn't add up. As for Senator Obama and Pastor Wright? I suspect Obama's harsh dismissal will not go unanswered, and a knife-fight between these former friends is inevitable.

Osmama, Obama, your Momma! America was established to provide religious freedom. If Rev Wright hates whites, and Obama believed it, Amen! They are entitled to that belief.
However we are entitled to vote for a President who represents all Americans. We are entitled to a President who will do what is best for America, not a particular party, race, religion etc.
The damage has been done Sen Obama. The only way to survive is to speak the truth, and show an action plan that is politically and financially viable for all Americans.
We can all add everything you have espoused so far would wipe us out financially. We are already deep in debt, mortgaging our childrens, and childrens childrens futures.
We need a new Harry Truman, of FDR who will save America and put her back in fiscal, and moral health.
If you are that person Mr. Obama, time is running out for you to show the public that.

IN a way I feel for obama....I'm a big time hillary supporter, but listening to obama and his ties and now "finally" the discontent of the pastor made me almost want to shake his hand in admiration. It reminded me of a person just getting out of prison, who wants to change his life for the better, but because of his ties to his past, it will not let him......I truely believe if he would have stayed in the senate or congress, he would have gotten the expierence needed before running for president. I believe he would have been the greatest president ever

classic preudice from black rev's. of white people. It seems to be the mainstay to rant about whites doing the blacks wrong, from the pulpit
Farrakhan, Butts, Sharpton they all rant just like this. no surprise, to hear all fo this perudice of whites.

It is very clear that rev wright is afraid of Obama and the change he wants to bring to this country. Why else would rev wright suddenly surface at a critical time in the election and spew his nonsense. If rev wright thought that Obama shared his distorted views, he would have remained underground and out-of-sight waiting to reconnect in the WH. I think this speaks volumes to all the people who may have thought rev wright and Obama were connected in some fashion.
TIMES ARE CHANGING PEOPLE....We need a person who has seen the hatred and has risen above it...we need a person who can transcend racial lines for people like rev wright who are afraid to cross...we need a person like Obama.
OBAMA 08 There is something special in the air!

Rev. Wright said it would happen, that Obama would have to distance himself. I wouldn't doubt if this has been planned the entire time.
Either way, too little, too late.
20 years.

When all went OB's way, everybody was fine. Now that a little heat is put on him, he is crumbling. Hilary shows what its like to be a strong candidate. The news is FINALLY turning on him. Its about time!

I the press had done their job's. We would have known this back in December. After his speech/sermon on "Hillary Clinton and rich white people" this from a man that lives in six million dolor home. "Glass houses" The truth is Mr Obama did not have a problem with Mr Wright speaking out until it became public. It was fine as long as he rallied the black community behind Mr Obama. TWENTY YEARS, HE TOOK HIS CHILDREN TO THAT CHURCH. Do you believe he really does not agree with him?
