National Polls for Hillary
The latest national polling tells the tale of a slip sliding Obama campaign and a Hillary Clinton campaign that. just. refuses. to. die. Sort of like a political John McClane, she's just hanging their on the edge but won't go over.
CNN 04/28 - 04/30 441 RV 46 45 Obama +1.0
Gallup Tracking 04/28 - 04/30 1229 V 45 49 Clinton +4.0
Rasmussen Tracking 04/27 - 04/30 900 LV 44 46 Clinton +2.0
FOX News 04/28 - 04/29 400 LV 41 44 Clinton +3.0
CBS News/NY Times 04/25 - 04/29 402 LV 46 38 Obama +8.0
NBC/WSJ 04/25 - 04/28 -- 46 43 Obama +3.0
Pew Research 04/23 - 04/27 651 RV 47 45 Obama +2.0
AP-Ipsos 04/23 - 04/27 457 A 46 43 Obama +3.0
Newsweek 04/24 - 04/25 592 RV 48 41 Obama +7.0
In the last week Obama has slid anywhere from 3-7 points based on what I'm seeing here. And I do think the trouble can be laid on a steady drumbeat of Reverend Wright plus a growing realization that the man with hope of audacity may actually have real flaws.
North Carolina is more important and even there, we still have Clinton within striking distance (5 points down) and one poll that had her evened up. Coincidentally or not, that poll was taken the day after Reverend Wright said he believed the government was capable of creating AIDS and inflicting it on us. Connected? You be the judge.
Obama needs to get his head back in the game. And whatever it is that Hillary Clinton is doing, she needs to keep it up. To the annoyance to most Democrats and the base, this means an unholy alliance between Clinton and the VRWC.

"To the annoyance to most Democrats and the base, this means an unholy alliance between Clinton and the VRWC."
--Question, what do you mean most democrats? Hillary has over 14 million votes. She wins the big blue states that a democrat must win in order to compete with a republican. Obama wins the red republican states (mainly by CAUCUS) that will go to McCain no matter what.
I think you are watching too much CNN and MSNBC and hanging out on HUffington and Moveon too often, while googling Maureen Dowd and Dick Morris.
Hillary is in the lead with popular votes when Fl and MI are counted, and they DO count, at the very least as humans--as Americans. There's no point in saying they do not count because of X rules.
We'll see EXACTLY how much they count when they vote in the general (if they are not counted now).
Meanwhile, Hillary received five automatic (superdelegate) delegates today. Not shabby for us and she's now leading in a lot of polls, as you've shown.
I call on you, Dave, to read this article, as well as all Hillary supporters.
Hillary's read this whole article, and let's be thankful someone had the cajones to write it:

Dave if you watch any of the Die Hard series, you can count the number of times Bruce Willis cheated death. Hillary isn't going to suffer a metaphorical political death. She's just got to find the courage to tell Bill that she'd rather be on the Supreme Court to defend women instead of President to protect him and undo the damage of impeachment. I'm feeling generous so here's a peak at the future? Hickory Dickery Dock what will finally make Hillary stop? Will her campaign go broke or will she see it's a joke? Will she be Joe Loserman or the next Ned Lamont? I keep praying it's Ned, but the longer this lingers it looks like a Loserman.

What has bothered me is when I hear someone refer to themselves as an "African-American", an Jewish-American, an Italian-American, an Irish-American and so on. Why can't we all be just called "AMERICAN"?
Those that choose to devide themselves from the rest are also making the case that we are a divided America. I have always chosen to call myself, an American, when certain people try to get me to better define myself. I make a point that we are all a mixed breed at this day and age. Some are more of one color (or breed) than another, perhaps, but not always the color you'd expect. Many blacks act "white", many whites act "black", you can't tell an Italian from a Jewish person. A red-haired, freckeled-face young man may look like he steped off the train from the mid-west, but in fact only speaks spanish and is from Chile. We are all one big melting pot.

When we count Florida and Michigan( millions of voters, then Hillary is ahead and the one who can win. despite all the push from the back room democrats and news media, Hillary is winning and barack is not. She can beat mccain because she is more to the middle. No one is owed the nomination and no one should get it because of fear or intimidation. We, the people, pick the president not the media nor the democratic big shots.

Hickory Dickory Dock nursery rhyme? How about a not at all funny joke:
What do Barack Obama and Osama bin Laden have in common?
They both have friends who bombed and attacked the Pentagon!
HA ha ha ha.
NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BEING FUNNY. AT ALL.
Nobama!

Caucus states
Obama Win...
Wyoming 61%
Hawaii 76%
Maine 59%
Nebraska 66%
Alaska 74%
Colorado 67%
Idaho 80%
Kansas 74%
Minnesota 66%
No.Dakota 61%
What is wrong with this picture? Obama did not do nearly so well in states with Primaries....Perhaps it was because MoveOn invaded these caucuses with their virtual Ak47s, and like me..many just went home, knowing the caucus was a farce.
Where is the FEC when you need them. Oh, they don't have a quorum so anything goes?????????

Dave,
There is an article from The New York Times, ""Timeline of Barack Obama's relationship with Jeremiah Wright".
http://news.aol.com/elections/story/_a/timeline-of-barack-obamas-relationship/n20080429204609990006?cid=435
In it is a date of particular interest to me:
Feb. 10, 2007 - Obama decides not to have Wright deliver the invocation at the launch of his presidential campaign.
I think Sen. Obama's best bet was not to take a gamble on Rev. Wright and to have come clean about the Reverend and his church early in his campaign. Imagine the stress waiting for this to rear its ugly head and the seemingly endless fallout over it. Sen. Obama is a likable guy and when he addressed this for supposedly the last time on Tuesday, it still felt incomplete despite the carefully chosen words. "Transparency" was no where to be found on this one issue.
As far as Sen. Clinton, she has shown great restraint in the last week and has had the luxury of staying on point in her campaign. Sen. Obama has been tested over a few little missteps/gaffes the last couple of weeks and hasn't handled them with the same brilliance his rhetoric suggests. I don't think he is capable of "uniting" anyone or bringing about any real "change". The "change" he speaks of is still far too vague to rally behind.
The polling, I think, will grow stronger in Sen. Clinton's favor and I suspect superdelegates aren't in as big of a hurry as they once were. The question now is, "Which candidate can win in November?" My guess it is Sen. Clinton that has the best chance to beat Sen. McCain in November. Sen. Obama has too many negatives at this crucial stage. One being, "Do we really know him at all?"
Sincerely and respectfully,
Mr. Clark

The Fox and gallup poles appear to show hillary ahead of obama. These two are much more credible that the rest because middle america tends to be more involved, including conservatives. The rest are more left wing who care more for obama......What puzzles me is why is the straw pole not in this group. Hillary has been leading by double digits in the last 2 weeks. judging by the comments of the candidates there are quite a few intelligent people here, and I'm sure they vote for their candidate

"THE WARRING MESSIAHS PART II:"
JEREMIAH WRIGHT IN THE BLUE CORNER AND OBAMA IN THE RED CORNER..
HERE FROM ASSOCIATED PRESS, AP:
. . . Another pastor in Detroit - where Wright received a standing ovation Sunday at a dinner for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People - directed his anger at the Democratic senator.
The Rev. William Revely, pastor of 300-member Holy Hope Heritage Church, questioned Obama's truthfulness in claiming he had not heard some of Wright's contentious remarks from the pulpit.
"Anybody who has heard Jeremiah preach has heard that," said Revely, who has known Wright since the 1970s. "Jeremiah, he's a pastor, and as a pastor you have to see things as they are. Politicians see things as they want them to be."
The punches and counter-punches thrown by Obama and Wright are leaving black churchgoers angry at both, said the Rev. Bennie Whiten, a retired United Church of Christ minister.
i SAID IT WAS ALL A SHARADE AND OTHERS AGREE.. OBAMA KNEW AND AGREED WITH HIS PASTOR. WRIGHT SOUNDS LIKE HE HAD HEARD OBAMA SAY WORSE THAN WHAT WRIGHT HAD SAID.
"THE AUDACITY OF DECEIT"

Hillary can't beat Mccain. When the Peter Paul lawsuit comes out this month and Bill and Hillary end up in Federal Court for the money landrying and destroying this mans life by stealing his business backer, her career is over, let alone their freedom. If this guy wins...they will both be locked up. I hope he wins...justice for "we the people".
