It's a quote about how Obama obviously feels about guns.

He wants them banned.

MAY MAULING OR MAY MERGING?

When do you think the Democratic nomination process will be wrapped up? The Democratic Party will win the "General Election" on May 9th if it decides that May will be the beginning of the Merging together with a "Confirmation" of "The Will of the People" with (D-IL) US/Senator Barrack "Barry " Hussein Obama, but will lose the "General Election" if it continues into May as the month of Mauling, ending in August with a stolen nomination and the "Coronation" of (D-NY) US/Senator Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton.

After May 9th the entire Democratic Nomination Process is nothing more than mechanics the game of contract bridge has played itself out, the bids made and the point has been reached were its just laying down the tricks to complete the rubber, and the match.

Obama mocked Hillary’s affinity to “gun culture” while failing to inform his audience that he had once filed a questionnaire in 1996, advocating a ban on the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns. (In fact if memory serves me right he lied about it.)

He also didn’t reveal that he was on the board of the Chicago-based Joyce Foundation, which takes an aggressive gun control position and in which he had considered (2001) becoming its full-time president

Obama also didn’t reference his audience to his own senatorial website, where he states that “the passage of legal protection for the gun industry would mark an enormous setback for gun control advocates and for leaders of cities such as Chicago, who have filed suit against gun dealers and manufacturers.”

Or, that he told the Chicago Tribune that “I believe we need to renew–not roll back–this common sense gun law,” referring to the 1994 AWB.

In Islam it is ok to lie as long as it is for the good of Islam.

Obama was the Only state Senator to oppose a bill that PROHIBITED early release for criminal sexual offenders.. In 2001 he voted "PRESENT" on a measure to keep pornographic books and video stores 1000 feet away from schools and churches.. He also voted against a requirement to make schools filter internet pornography from school computers.

gUESS Obama doesn't know history well.. The example of taking guns away from US citizens by General Thomas Gage right before the US was invaded by the british at the battles of Lexington and Bunkerhill should go as a clear example of what happens to us in the end..

No doubt, the media, and all the liberal Jews and other Obama supporters will ignore this.

An article has appeared on the ISM affiliated website Electronic Intifada (EI) by one of its co-founders, Ali Abunimah, in which Abumimah recounts his close past working relationship with Obama prior to the presidential campaign and how Abunimah believes Obama is merely giving lip service to the Jewish community to get elected, and that once in office he will work for the Palestinian cause. Abunimah lists himself and is mentioned in subsequent Obama articles in the mainstream press merely as a “Palestinian activist.” Abunimah insists that Obama will “come around” once elected.

But Ali Abunimah is more than just some “Palestinian activist” based in Chicago, the same location as Reverend Wright and the Trinity United Church of Christ. He is, in fact, one of the founders of the fiercely anti-Semitic ISM Arab group Al Awda, the Palestine Right of Return Coalition. Abunimah is a high level international leader of the ISM for the Arabs who travels extensively between Chicago, Europe and Ramallah.

Al Awda in Arabic means “The Return,” and the group not only calls for the complete destruction of Israel, even denying Israel’s current existence on its website and urging boycotts against not only Israelis, but American Jews and their businesses, but also calls for specifically supporting Arab terrorists in Iraq who kill US soldiers. Among its more than 130 chapters across the US and Canada, Al Awda’s New Jersey chapter is led by a young woman named Charlotte Kates who has called Israeli children killed by suicide bombers “fair game.” The ISM’s Al Awda openly supports terrorism as “legitimate resistance” in ISM revolutionary lingo.

Al Awda’s anti-Semitism has also linked to neo-Nazi groups in promoting the boycott and divestment from Israel on American campuses and in the US business community. It became so virulent that the group was booted by the UC Riverside campus administration from holding an international conference on that campus last year. Ali Abunimah, even today, is featured on the Al Awda website supporting terrorism against Israelis because he considers that “nonviolence is overrated.”

In short, Obama saw no problem being lobbied in the past by someone who openly promotes terroris.m

That's a great quote by Obama. I think it is a great summation of the historical significance of the right to bear weaponry fused with a keen appreciation for how such weapons have exaserbated the low situations in many urban centers.

I think it reflects a nuanced, sensible position.

It's not a gaffe, it was done on purpose. It's for legal reasons. It wouldn't be the best thing to put a popular American gun on the cover with the word Ban on it, etc. Also, they shouldn't advertise and promote for one either. Turns out the gun is not real, doesn't exist...you don't think that's a coincidence?

It's for litigious reasons.
