Gut Check Time for Hillary
Over or not over? I'm going to say... not over, but by any rights it should be. Final count in IN shows a Clinton victory, barely. And of course the dreadful drubbing she took in Indiana. Which means that Obama beat the line. According to the analysis by Jay Cost, Clinton did as well in IN as she did in OH with her constituent groups, but Obama has solidified his hold on the black vote and college educated whites.
Theres good news, but mostly bad news in there for Hillary. She has an argument that she can make that no Democrat can win on the strength only of the black vote and suburban college educated liberals, but that means the Democratic party would have to disenfranchise the driving force of their liberal base along with their most solid minority group. I can't imagine, even in the most brass knuckle politics environment, that scenario playing out. I think she's done. Whether she wants to accept it or not is another question.
One reason she may not accept it is that two very friendly Clinton states are coming up, WV and KY, both with heavy Appalachian contingents. She should blow out Obama here and if she does, she can make the electability argument again, although most electoral paths to victory for Democrats do not include Kentucky.
Let the rumor mongering begin. At 2am a report went out on ABC that she had cancelled all events and cleared her schedule, but as of this morning it appears a full campaign schedule is still in place.

Good for you Hillary!! Wheeeewww..I was clinging to my religion last night praying that you would win Indiana.
Obama is unelectable, UnAmerican and a bigot. Fortunately...he will never win the general simply because of the black vote.
Take this all the way to the convention and see what happens. I hope Hillary and Bill call in every favor and use every dirty trick in the book to win this thing!!!
Go Go Go Hillary for America!! If not I am voting repub for the first time..At least Mccain loves this country.

Hilary give it up! Your are costing Obama the Presidency by trying to get rid of your pesky self. You are unfit to be a model female let alone the President of the U.S. Staying with your husband because you want to be President lacks character. What would Vince Foster think?

Hillary will win WV...when was the last time someone was elected president that did not win WV????
Go home Obama and take your Zira angry American hating wife and preacher with you!!
You will never ever win the presidency..........The GOP will take it with a 50 state landslide!!!

Hehehehe, some interesting comments I've collected about Sen. Obama from newspapers.
Obama last night dropped broad hints it was time for the 270 remaining unaligned party figures known as superdelegates to get off the fence and settle the nomination.
What that means is that Obama, Dean, Axelrod and Kennedy want to rig the nomination. They want the superdelegates to vote way before the convention. Two reasons, to influence and manipulate the convention voting, and to allow the Congressional Black Caucus to intimidate and malign those that supports Clinton.
Isn't that what thugs and gangs do? Starting first with disenfranchising voters in Florida and Michigan…
A vote for Obama is a vote for a thug dressed in liberal clothes.
The Indianapolis Star indicated in the morning paper that the cross over vote by Republicans went to Sen. Obama accounting for nearly 9% of Obama's votes.
Once more the Kennedy/Obama machine is putting forth a loser who will not win in November. Another Dukakis, Mondale, Gore and the likes.
Ho brother, if Obama wins the nomination, there goes any Democratic hope of achieving the White House.
The Chicago Sun-Times reported August 3, 2001:
Superior Bank, half-owned by the wealthy Pritzker family, was shut down by the FDIC Friday after a bailout plan by the Pritzkers, who own the Hyatt Hotel chain, and their partner, New York real estate developer Alvin Dworman, fell through. The bank failed because it had lost nearly all of its more than $2 billion of assets on bad loans to high-risk borrowers, federal regulators said.
When is someone going to talk about Obama's financial campaign chairman - Penny Pritzker, that cost the Federal Government - taxpayers one billion dollars when Superior Bank failed, and 450 million dollars still owed to the FDIC - and they gave her 15 years to pay back - no interest.
The bank engaged in deceptive and faulty lending, questionable accounting practices, and charged hidden fees. It made thousands of dubious loans to mostly poor, strapped homeowners. A disproportionate number of them were minority.
These questions need to be asked and answered.
Mr. Obama, why does she still have a principal financial role in your campaign?
Mr Obama, if Obama elected will you waive this money owed?
Barack Obama talks how hundreds have lost in the sub prime mess. It seems like the only person to come out well was his finance manager. And he knows it.
Guess that is just the “Chicago Way”.
http://www.loanworkout.org/ 2008/03/25/obama-penny-pritzker/
And guess who bought the servicing portfolio rights of the failed bank?
From the FDIC:
The assets were sold to EMC Mortgage Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bear Stearns & Co., Inc.. The FDIC recovered $517 million (net) from the residual interest portfolio since Superior’s failure on July 27, 2001, including $471 million in sales proceeds.
The transfer of the servicing rights to EMC Mortgage Corporation is expected to be completed by the end of June.
So the glorious Federal Reserve bails out Bear Stearns, TO THE TUNE OF $30 BILLION and Bear Stearns was involved in buying all the toxic crap from Superior Bank in 2001?
I am sure the guys at Bear packaged and sold that stuff fast. Rinse and repeat. They now have found the new business model that they will duplicate over and over to where we sit today folks

After all this time, the most damning objection to Obahma is that "we don't know much about him" And if the speculators are given their say, they claim that he is a racist, he is a muslim, his wife hates America, He doesn't wear a flag pin, he is inexperienced. But if one actually considers those views, they could be positive. If one listens to his speech on race, racism is not in there at all. We know he isn't a Muslim, but having a connection could be a positive with what is the largest religion in the world. His wife did not say she hated Americal, she said that the turnout made her proud to be American for the first time in her adult life. Well, how many of us are proud of what we have done to the world? I can remember when we really were a great nation with a can do attitude. The flag pin, well BUsh wears one, so what does that mean? And experience? Do we really want "experienced"? Or do we want change? I mean, who really runs the country? Besides, Bush was ne of the most experienced presidents, so what did that prove? I remember the first Gulf war, I knew then that diplomacy was not part of the plan, and after it was over my thought was "This is going to come back to us. I remember Bush winning, and my thought was, well, they will show us what they are made of. My thought now? The democrats will win by a landslide,

Hillary,
Please don't quit the race!!!!! Take it to the convention floor!!! Make Obama work for it!!!! He doesn't need to be President!!! The American people better wake up and relize what he is!!!! Fight all the way!!!!!!

Dave, you got that wrong. Obama consolidated his black vote after New Hampshire. His white vote consists of college students and white educators working for universities. That's a far cry from college educated white who also vote for Clinton and McCain.
Then the Indianapolis Star indicated a large percentage of Republican cross over votes exclusive to Obama, continuing the trend since McCain won the nomination. Republicans feel confident that they can beat Obama, not so confident that they can beat Clinton.

Petition the DNC to allow the delegates from Florida to be seated at the Convention.
Please read the below link, decide, and forward. No voter's vote should be disenfranchised in America. The precedent to do so is a step toward disenfranchisement of all voters.

The black racism of the North Carolina win cannot triumph over the nomination process. The Indiana win of a mere 9 counties by cult leader Obama out of more than 100 counties cannot triumph over the nomination process. Florida and Michigan must be counted; the remaining states must vote; and the superdelegates must use their independent judgment to select the best qualified candidate for the presidency and that is Hillary Clinton. The fight for the future of America continues.

America lost its comparative economic advantage in markets abroad due to the liberal meddling of the Kennedy machine and their followers in academia.
During the 1970s and 1980s, Kennedy and Moynihan launched various programs that was advantageous to faculty and college grants and revenue. Most notably was international aid, granting millions of international students to study at public and private universities.
During the 1990s, evidence mounted that these same international students (specifically Indian, Chinese, Malaysians, Saudis, Egyptians) not only assumed a greater proportion of graduate and post graduate research work, which Kennedy/Moynihan continued to send vast amounts of money for their advancement, they also went home to their respective countries with files and files of research of American companies. This theft of US intellectual property, which the universities allowed to be stolen, forced American businesses to avoid the university systems with regard to research, causing a severe crimp in university budgets. This also ended the system of double trials, which the Clinton Administration stressed and tried to get the universities to classify their research. The Kennedy machine opposed that move on the part of the Clintons. In fact the Kennedy machine advanced the cause of foreign nationals to establish research facilities in their own countries to be shared with US public universities. American intellectual property rights by entrepreneurs, inventors, business, companies went right out the window and into the hands of foreign nationals. Kennedy's comment to international intellectual property rights theft was "so what!".
Interesting enough, these same internationals who received an education here in the US, now teach at their own country's universities or work in their own country's companies, have laws protecting their intellectual property rights and will not allow international American students to participate in their research.
At this time, Sen. Obama has reassured the universities that the Kennedy apparatus will continue.

Actually, it is gut check time for the Democrats and their SO-CALLED SUPER DELEGATES!! Obuma CAN NEVER WIN--PERIOD!!! He is no more than a vaporous media creation and an inexperienced saleman.
I am a lifetime Democrat and will vote for McCain or not at all if he wins. At least there will be someone in government that has REAL experience and does not shake and stammer every time when questions are poised at him that do not meet his scripting or upset his narcissistic agenda.
Obuma wins, you lose!!!!

If Clinton does not get the democratic nomination I refuse to vote at all. The democrates better wake up and smell the coffee or the republicans will win again and we can see what that has done for our country. People can't afford to eat or drive anymore.

ajtex310:06AMMay 7th 2008
I wish the dem superdelegates would stop and think...obama has had consistently 3 times more money to spend on ads than hillary, he has had the media and the leaders of the dem party eating out of his palm for the last 6 months, with both declaring him to be the new saviour of the free world. (They've both stopped short of swearing they'd seen him walk on water!) But still, hillary is just a hair's width behind him in the popular vote and delegates won through elections. If obama can only "just barely" beat hillary with all those props in his camp, how do they think he'll beat a republican????? They should also remember that come the general election, they will lose the 50% of the party that supports hillary to mccain because of this extreme prejudice displayed against hillary (and all women) thoughout the primaries. The dem party has made the grave mistake of ridiculing hillary and discounting the people who support her. They will learn that the hard way in the general election.

I am a voter who has watched this election season very closely. As my states' primary approached on February 12th, I visited (barackobama.com) The Official Presidential website of Barack Obama. While there, I looked for upcoming appearances in my state, I read some of the blogs and read some of the senator's positions on the issues.
I then moved to a header titled "People" and indeed a list of groups of people popped right up (See list at bottom). There are categories broken down by ethnicity/race, social issues and lifestyle choices, but remarkably NO category for Caucasians, European Americans or Typical White People for that matter.
This website has been up and running for over a year now, over 1.5 Million people have made donations through it, and the campaign has raised nearly $300 Million through mostly online donations. Barack Obama himself posts on this site regularly and he encourages people routinely to visit the site to see what he's all about. All of his advocates repeatedly point to the involvement of this website and other social networking sites as a major reason for their success thus far.
Today it is May 7th, nearly 2 months after Senator Obama's speech on race relations in America and this is still the campaigns' definition of "People".
I guess it's possible that Senator Obama's campaign specifically does not want the support of atheistic/heterosexual/non-student/non-union/non-military/domestic/white males who hate the environment, OR it's also possible that someone suggested a campaign where high percentages of certain demographics/groups would be enough to get them near the top and everything else is gravy.
I don't know if Senator Obama wants, needs or even cares about my vote, but I do know that he doesn't deserve it.

Americans Abroad
The disappointment that so many around the world feel toward America right now is only a testament to the high expectations they hold for us. We must meet those expectations again, not because being respected is an end in itself, but because the security of America and the wider world demands it.
This will require a new spirit – not of bluster and bombast, but of quiet confidence and sober intelligence, a spirit of care and renewed competence. It will also require a new leader. And as a candidate for President of the United States, I am asking you to entrust me with that responsibility.”

We're ready to take the offense for organized labor. It's time we have a President who didn't choke saying the word 'union.' We need to strengthen our unions by letting them do what they do best --- organize our workers. If a majority of workers want a union, they should get a union. It's that simple. We need to stand up to the business lobby that's been getting their friends in Congress and in the White House to block card check. Why is it when Hillary wins a state by 14 points it is called a "close" race, yet when Obama wins by a mere 4-7 points it is called a "landslide." Why are we allowing the media to elect our next president. Clearly, Hillary has the most popular votes especially when we consider Florida and Michigan. Why are the voters of those two states being punished for errors made by the legislators of the states. I will vote for McCain before I vote for Barack. He is a fence rider who stammers only what he believes voters want to hear. His campaign has been a political train powered by the press and the Kennedys. In the early stages of the race, I considered voting for him, but the longer the contest goes on the more determined I am not to vote for him. Stay in the race Hillary!!! America needs you.
