McCain Fires Back on Hamas Charges
May 16th 2008 11:00PM
Filed Under:eBarack Obama, John McCain, Breaking News, 2008 President, Foreign Policy
The furor over remarks made by President Bush in front of Israel's parliament hit a fever pitch today, as the self-identified victim of the president's comments, Sen. Barack Obama, traded barbs with Sen. John McCain over the alleged insult to Obama's judgment and ability to protect the country as president. The Political Machine covered Obama's response to the White House and McCain here. The McCain campaign released a statement late in the day accusing Sky News interviewer, and former Assistant Secretary of State in the Clinton Administration, Jamie Rubin, of lying about McCain's position with respect to the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas in an op-ed he penned for the Washington Post. McCain has been referencing comments made by a Hamas spokesman that the Iranian-backed terror group is rooting for an Obama victory in the presidential race. Titled "Hypocrisy on Hamas," Rubin's op-ed accuses McCain of changing his position on Hamas, based on one question and answer from an interview Rubin conducted with McCain in 2006.
[Rubin]: "Do you think that American diplomats should be operating the way they have in the past, working with the Palestinian government if Hamas is now in charge?"Rubin says the exchange proves that McCain once espoused Obama's more nuanced position with respect to meeting with America's enemies. But, as the McCain campaign pointed out in its response, the impression readers would have gotten of McCain's position would have been radically different if Rubin had reported McCain's answer to his very next question.
McCain: "They're the government; sooner or later we are going to have to deal with them, one way or another, and I understand why this administration and previous administrations had such antipathy towards Hamas because of their dedication to violence and the things that they not only espouse but practice, so . . . but it's a new reality in the Middle East. I think the lesson is people want security and a decent life and decent future, that they want democracy. Fatah was not giving them that."
Rubin followed up with a direct question to McCain about whether McCain believed that the United States should engage directly with Hamas through regular diplomatic channels.
Rubin: "So should the United States be dealing with that new reality through normal diplomatic contacts to get the job done for the United States?"McCain's answer to Rubin's follow-up question tends to confirm his position that the United States should not meet with or engage Hamas diplomatically unless Hamas meets certain conditions based on their policies and behaviors.
McCain: "I think the United States should take a step back, see what they do when they form their government, see what their policies are, and see the ways that we can engage with them, and if there aren't any, there may be a hiatus. But I think part of the relationship is going to be dictated by how Hamas acts, not how the United States acts."
McCain got an assist from CNN early this evening, when the network reported on an interview it conducted with McCain, at exactly the same spot that Rubin's interview took place. McCain is even wearing the same clothes as in the Rubin interview, and he clearly states that the United States' policy of non-engagement with the terror group would not change unless and until Hamas renounced its desire to bring about the destruction of Israel.
McCain: "Well, hopefully, that Hamas now that they are going to govern, will be motivated to renounce this commitment to the extinction of the state of Israel. Then we can do business again, we can resume aid, we can resume the peace process. It's very, very important though that they renounce this commitment."McCain clearly has not changed his position, however, he was the target of some very slanted and shoddy reporting by Mr. Rubin.
Lost in all the political back and forth over the issue is the fact that in his Knesset speech, President Bush did not mention Sen. Obama by name. Nor did he mention the Democratic Party. In fact, there was only one person that was directly referred to by the president in the speech. In describing the champions of the ideology of appeasement prior to World War II, the president mentioned a United States Senator who remarked upon the German invasion of Poland, "Lord, if only I could have talked to Hitler. All of this could have been avoided." The irony of Obama's strong reaction to comments in which he was not named is that the person singled out by the president for uttering those famous words was former Senator from Idaho William E. Borah, a Republican.

The thought plickens! Going to heat up. Especially with both Clinton and Obama now shooting darts at Johnny instead of each other. The 2 on 1 has begun. Hope the Republicans enjoy the Democrat's target practice.

I see the blooming idiots are out in full bloom here. Same worn-out Muslim line. Anyone with half a brain knows that idiotic car don't wash with voters. If it did, Obama would not be leading over Clinton by the vast amount he is and those who avoid that fact will have to vote for McCain cause Obama has this race signed, sealed and ready to be delivered in a few days. He needs some 20 more delegates and that will be easy in Oregon especially. He is favored there. Besides, the Supers are coming in fast to Obama and in the next few days be prepared for a rush. All the media is talking about it. Obama will get the ~~ Democrat nomination. No doubt about it.

TheClinton supporters should take note. Noone is posting anything derrogatory about Clinton anymore. and why might that be? Cause she is technically out of the race per se. Done.

Bush' comments were not dishonest even if hypothetically Bush meant Obama in his speech. Obama did say he will meet with terrorist leaders without preconditions. Already, former Pres Jimmy Carter, following Obama's lead, has met with Hamas. This is a dangerous trend and it is the President's job to nuke down any possibilities, such as Obama's naive foreign policy position, that might untangle the Bush Administration's work in securing America's safety. Obama conveniently disregards the glaring fact that there hasn't been an Al Quaeda attack against the U.S. since 9/11 as he quacks about what could-have-been in Afghanistan. This is a major accomplishment of the Bush Admin and it is right for Bush to zealously protect the security gains thus far. Obama will hand America and the rest of the world to terrorists!

Obama is wrong on this one. Another reason all along that we supported Hillary. Obama has no solid experience, has nothing but speeches when he isn't trying to make all white people racists (sick of this insult from him when he is half white and half black). His wife is very racist and hates white people. We don't dislike either of them for race, they just don't get that, we dislike them for the hate speech and making this election out to about race which has caused a disservice and set back race relations for years to come. We know who started this racist thing - it was because in SC Obama was so scared Clinton was to get black votes he got scared.
Hillary supporters that are Women will never vote for Obama for so many reasons.
Dean and Palosi listen up - you and your dictatorship with superdelegates and counting only votes you wish to count has turned off voters and ruined the democratic chances in November - We will never vote for Obama.
I tried to complain to the DNC and response was to ask me contribute - NOT IN THIS LIFETIME!

In 2001 Sebelius was named as one of Governing Magazine's Public Officials of the Year while she was serving as Kansas Insurance Commissioner.[27]
In November 2005 Time named Sebelius as one of the five best governors in America, praising her for eliminating a $1.1 billion debt she inherited, ferreting out waste in state government, and strongly supporting public education — all without raising taxes. Also praised was her bipartisan approach to governing, a useful trait in a state where Republicans have usually controlled the Legislature.[28]
In February 2006, the White House Project named Sebelius one of its "8 in '08", a group of eight female politicians who could possibly run and/or be elected president in 2008.[29]

Popular Two-Term Governor of Kansas:
Democrat Kathleen Sebelius was elected Governor of red-state Kansas in 2002, and reelected by wide margin in 2006. Gov. Sebelius has held state elective office since 1986.
A moderate with pro-business, pro-military leanings known for her bipartisan leadership, Sebelius is the daughter of former Ohio Gov. John Gilligan, and are the first father-daughter governors in U.S. history.
Gov. Sebelius served in 2007 as Chair of the Democratic Governors Association. In 2005, Time named her as one of the five best governors in America, for eliminating a $1.1 billion debt she inherited when she took office.
Special Notability:
In 2004, Kathleen Sebelius was reportedly a candidate to be John Kerry's vice-presidential running mate, and is considered a strong VP candidate for the 2008 Democratic ticket. Others speculate that Gov. Sebelius may run for the U.S. Senate in 2010, to replace Republican Sen. Sam Brownback.
On January 28, 2008, Kathleen Sebelius delivered the Democratic party's response to the State of the Union address. And on January 29, 2008, Gov. Sebelius endorsed Sen. Barack Obama in the 2008 presidential race.
Experience Prior to Governor:
* 1995-2003 - Kansas State Insurance Commissioner
* 1987-94 - Kansas House of Representatives
* 1974-1987 - a number of appointed statewide offices, including the Governor's Blue Ribbon Panel on Prison Overcrowding, the Kansas Children's Commission and the Kansas Natural Resources Council.
Gov. Sebelius on Issues & Priorities:
Regarded as pro-business, pro-military and fiscally conservative, Kathleen Sebelius, nonetheless, holds certain liberal views not always seen as mainstream in the Midwest, including firm pro-choice beliefs.
Owing to her Catholicism, Sebelius is opposed to capital punishment. And after she famously vetoed a 2006 concealed weapon bill, her veto was decisively overriden by the both houses of the Kansas legislature. As governor, she's faced a myriad of difficult educational funding issues.
(For more, see Gary and Kathleen Sebelius Marriage Profile.)
Federal Magistrate Judge Gary Sebelius, Married to Gov. Sebelius:
Federal magistrate judge Gary Sebelius was appointed to an eight-term term to the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas in 2002. He was formerly a partner in a Topeka law firm. Born in Kansas, he earned his law degree from Georgetown University in 1974.
Judge Sebelius is reported to have a wonderful sense of humor and a great love of music. His record/CD collection is among the finest in Kansas. He downplays his role as advisor to his governor-wife, and prefers the title "First Dude" of Kansas.
The Governor's Father, Father-in-Law in Politics:
The governor's father is Democratic Gov. John Gilligan, who served on term as Ohio governor before his defeat by a Republican in 1975, a party that generally dominates Ohio politics. Judge Sebelius' father was the late Rep. Keith Sebelius (R-KS), who served six terms in the House before passing away in 1982.
The couple worried about how their fathers (one anti-war liberal, one pro-war conservative) would get along. Per Gary Sebelius, though, "They hit it off famously."
Memorable Quotes:
About Lobbyists
"I don’t mind standing up to the big powerful lobbies, I think that is the role you play in public office. A lot of the consumers don’t have an organized lobby to advocate on their behalf. Those of us who are elected need to have that voice, and that is really what I have tried to do as insurance commissioner.
"There will always be well paid, very articulate lobbyists for industries that make money. What needs to happen is that the other side needs to be brought in, we need to bring that viewpoint to the table."
----- to Trinity Washington University magazine, during 2002 campaign to be Governor of Kansas
About Her Endorsement of Barack Obama
"I am especially pleased to announce my enthusiastic endorsement of Senator Barack Obama for President of the United States - because Barack Obama represents exactly the kind of change Kansans can believe in...
"Senator Obama demonstrates a unique ability to reach across party lines - a quality we need now, right now, to unite our leaders and meet the serious challenges our country faces at home and abroad...
"And, on an especially personal note - I admire the way Senator Obama has inspired a younger generation of Americans, my own children included. For months now, my two sons have implored me to make my admiration for Senator Obama public. To offer him my endorsement, and join this fight for change all of us can believe in. I am proud to do so today."

Kathleen about balance in their marriage: "“We’ve really tried hard to balance family issues and political issues ... I have always wanted to be at home and be available to the kids, and I’ve been very lucky to have had jobs where I could work on issues that I thought were important and yet not have to give up time with the kids and family. Speech Text: Democratic Response By Gov. Kathleen Sebelius
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/01/28/speech-text-democratic-r_n_83726.html
Remarks as prepared for delivery by Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius:
An American Call to Action
I'm Kathleen Sebelius, Governor of the State of Kansas.
And I am grateful for the opportunity to speak with you tonight.
I'm a Democrat, but tonight, it really doesn't matter whether you think of yourself as a Democrat...or a Republican...or an Independent. Or...none-of-the-above.
Instead, the fact you're tuning in this evening tells me each of you is, above all...
...an American, first.
You are mothers, and fathers. Grandparents, and grandchildren. Working people, and business-owners. Americans, all.
And the American people - folks like you, and me - are not nearly as divided as our rancorous politics might suggest.
In fact, right now, tonight, as political pundits discuss the President's speech - chances are, they'll obsess over the reactions of Members of Congress.
"How many times was the President interrupted by applause? Did Republicans stand? Did Democrats sit?"
And the rest of us will roll our eyes and think, "What in the world does any of that have to do with me?"
And, so, I want to take a slight detour from tradition on this State of the Union night.
In this time, normally reserved for the partisan response, I hope to offer you something more:
An American Response.
A national call to action on behalf of the struggling families in the heartland, and across this great country. A wakeup call to Washington, on behalf of a new American majority, that time is running out on our opportunities to meet our challenges and solve our problems.
Our struggling economy requires urgent and immediate action, and then sustained attention. Families can't pay their bills. They are losing their jobs, and now are threatened with losing their homes.
We heard last week and again tonight that Congress and the President are acting quickly, on a temporary, targeted stimulus package. That is encouraging. But you and I know that a temporary fix is only the first step toward meeting our challenges and solving our problems.
There is a chance Mr. President, in the next 357 Days, to get real results, and give the American people renewed optimism that their challenges are the top priority. Working together, working hard, committing to results, we can get the job done.
In fact, over the last year, the Democratic majority in Congress has begun to move us in the right direction-- with bipartisan action to strengthen our national security, raise the minimum wage, and reduce the costs of college loans.
These are encouraging first steps. But there is still more to be done.
And, so we ask you, Mr. President -- will you join us? Let's get to work.
We know that we are stronger as a nation when our people have access to the highest-quality, most-affordable health care. When our businesses can compete in the global marketplace without the burden of rising health care costs here at home.
We know that caring for our children, so they have a healthy and better start in life, is what grownups do. Governors in both parties, and a large majority of the Congress are ready, right now, to provide health care to 10 million American children, as a first step in overhauling our health care system.
Join us, Mr. President, sign the bill and let's get to work.
Sitting with the First Lady tonight was Steve Hewitt, the city manager of Greensburg, Kansas. Many of you remember Greensburg - our town nearly destroyed by a tornado last year.
Thanks to Steve's efforts, and hundreds of others in our state, and across the country, Greensburg will recover. Folks rolled up their sleeves and got to work, and local, state and federal governments assisted in the effort.
But more than just recover - the Kansans who live in Greensburg are building green - rebuilding a better community for their children and grandchildren; making shared sacrifices, and investments for the next generation.
Greensburg is not alone. You and I - stand ready - ready to protect our environment for future generations, and stay economically competitive. Mayors have committed their cities to going green; governors have joined together, leading efforts for energy security and independence; and the majority in Congress is ready to tackle the challenge of reducing global warming and creating a new energy future for America.
So we ask you, Mr. President, will you join us? It's time to get to work.
Here in the heartland, we honor and respect military service. We appreciate the enormous sacrifices made by soldiers and their families.
As Governor of Kansas, I am the Commander in Chief of our National Guard. Over the past five years, I have seen thousands of soldiers deployed from Kansas. I've visited our troops in Iraq; attended funerals and comforted families; and seen the impact at home of the war being waged.
We stand ready in the heartland and across this country, to join forces with peace-loving nations across the globe and to fight the war against terrorists, wherever they may strike. But our capable and dedicated soldiers can't solve the political disputes where they are, and can't focus on the real enemies elsewhere.
The new Democratic majority of Congress and the vast majority of Americans are ready - ready to chart a new course. If more Republicans in Congress stand with us this year, we won't have to wait for a new President to restore America's role in the world, and fight a more effective war on terror.
The last five years have cost us dearly - in lives lost; in thousands of wounded warriors whose futures may never be the same; in challenges not met here at home because our resources were committed elsewhere. America's foreign policy has left us with fewer allies and more enemies.
Join us, Mr. President, and working together with Congress to make tough, smart decisions, we will regain our standing in the world and protect our people and our interests.
I know government can work to benefit the people we serve, because I see it every day, not only here in Kansas, but in states across the country. I know government can work, Mr. President, because like you, I grew up in a family committed to public service. My father and my father in law both served in Congress - one a Republican and one a Democrat. They had far more in common than the issues that divided them - a love for their country that led them from military service to public service. A lifetime of working for the common good, making sacrifices so their children and grandchildren could have a better future.
They are called "the greatest generation". But I believe, like parents across America, that our greatest generations are still to come. That we must chart a new course, at home and abroad, to give our future greatest generations all the opportunities our parents gave us.
These are uncertain times, but with strength and determination, we can meet the challenges together. If Washington can work together, so quickly, on a short-term fix for families caught in the financial squeeze, then we can work together to transform America.
In these difficult times - the American people aren't afraid to face difficult choices.
But, we have no more patience for divisive politics.
Tonight's address begins the final year of this presidency, with new leaders on the horizon and uncertainty throughout our land. Conditions we face, at home and abroad, are results of choices made and challenges unmet.
In spite of the attempts to convince us that we are divided as a people, a new American majority has come together. We are tired of leaders who rather than asking what we can do for our country, ask nothing of us at all.
We are Americans sharing a belief in something greater than ourselves, a nation coming together to meet challenges and find solutions; to share sacrifices and share prosperity; and focus, once again, not only on the individual good but on the common good.
On behalf of the new American majority - the majority of elected officials at the national, state and local level, and the majority of Americans, we ask you, Mr. President, to join us. We are ready to work together, to be the America we have been-- and can be once again.
Thank you for listening. God bless and sleep well. And in the morning, let's get to work.

Letter to ALL:
And So we have come so far, that we have lifted our voices and spoke words that when, re-read frighten the "higher power of our souls" We have called all the people that disagree with our political position, "racist" these mights have been the same people that "fought for you" these might have been the same people, that said..."That is not what we believe to be true, color means nothing" We will lay down our lives for you, we will stand and fight for you, we will unite with you
To say that we come from the same experience as you, would be a lie, that we understand all you have gone through, would be a lie, that we want to unite with you, see you as our brothers and sisters in a universal sense, would be true!!
Do you really want to throw that away for a man that speaks "words",Do you not want to have the questions answered? Or do you want to again be fooled by "words"?? Do you want the political machine to win again because they believe we are not capable of asking the right questions??? Have you thought that the question should be.."What have you done to show you can fulfill the promise of all your words???
Hillary Clinton, has tried to do that!! She is not without fault, and none of us are, but she tried to make a difference,. Is she perfect? No, has she tried, YES!!
Has Obama, showed that he tried to breach that divide between black and white.?...NO...He has joined a church that stresses the differences between us,. A Chruch who tries to do what all the others did, DIVIDED US, not UNITE US....YES , there are differences, yes we have a long way to go, but in defense of all of those, black and white who tried to really reach beyond those differences and UNITE us I say, "Please Think, please do not let the voice of division win!! Please look beyond what the Media and "talking head" try to tell you...Look at the people who have stood by you when it was not popular to stand by you, please do not be carried away with the "words" that look to sway you, look at the history.
Look not only to the Black History, look to the history of America , and if you see America failing you, look to the country you would rather be in, and then look again and see if that "other" country would allow you to voice your opions, would they let your voice be heard??? Tell me, is America not worth fighting for?

Is the Muslim line worn out? What about the Arab line?
Explain how a person ends up with 3 Arab names? First and middle I can sort of understand, but the family name? According to reports his father was an Arab African. There are people (Arabs) that say he was and is a Muslim. His church has Muslims in the congregation, Rev Wright was a Muslim. Obama now denounces Farakan, but they have been close in the past. One blogger who was from Indonesia said that Obama's book the audacity of Hope, in the Indonesia version it translated to something about jihad.
He has or had 4 terrorist organizations embedded in his web site.
His rising sun over a flag I believe symbolizes himself a Leo. I found it explained in an Arab chart.
The Arabic Ascendant
In the Arabic Chart your Sun will be on the Ascendant, thus the Arabic Ascendant shows how to bring forth the power of your Sun. People with their Sun exactly on their Ascendant don't have a separate Arabic chart, they meet the world in an instinctive and direct way, their essence fits well with their role, they are doing their thing.
The Sun on the Ascendant
may mean that your self-expression is natural and assured, automatic and instinctive, resembling Aries/Leo type (the 1st house/the Sun). You may find your own voice when still very young, although often quite unconsciously. There may be a desire for power and some egocentricity. In the East (especially in India) this is a common placement in the charts of gurus - according to Lois M. Rodden so common that it is curious, if not suspect. Examples: Pakh Subud, Sri Aurobindo and Sai Baba.
So the beat goes on. He is what he is and he ain't for me.

I listened and read his responses. It sounds to me like McCain is saying..We need to talk with Hamas, they are the representatives of the Palentians but they need to stop talking like total wackos and threatening to blow up Israel. As long as they act like lunatics we will not be able to come to an agreement. Point is yes he would talk with Hamas but first they need to stop threatening Israel.
So McCain would talk with Hamas. He is parsing his words and trying to have it both ways. Talk but no talk as long as they are crazy..I get it. McCain needs to be clear and say yes I would talk with them but until Hamas stops doing the mortar rain dance on Israel it's not happening. He and the other Republican crazies are trying to make it seem like he would never speak with Hamas under any conditions. That is why they make me sick. Also good on Hillary for calling out Bush on his terrorist comments to the Knesset in Israel.
McCain is a Bush retread.

Did you actually re-read what you wrote? You said the same thing four times. He would talk to them if the met PRE-CONDITIONS. Recognize Israel's right to exist, stop blowing up Israelis in ice cream shops and markets, quit firing rockets into near-by villages and act like human beings.
That's what makes me sick, Democrats that repeat stuff four times, say they get it, and they don't. Get it now?
We would meet with the Iranians as well if they quit arming and training militias in IRAQ that attack our troops, drop their pursuit of a nuclear bomb, and quit arming HAMAS and Hezbollah with the rockets mentioned above that are fired all the time into Isreal. You don't just meet to say "hey, how's it going?"

TROJAN HORSE ? [FROM ANOTHER BLOG SITE]
I will use the traditional collective term “Wall Street” for the US economic elite.
If I recall correctly, back in 2005, George W, at the height of his power, tried to “reform” Social Security [that is, give the Wall Street jackals the keys to the SS treasury], but received an all-too-rare rebuke from Congress.
Meanwhile, it is now obvious to all but the most dedicated right-wingers that the GOP has become an asylum run by the inmates, and has been one at least since the Gingrich Congress came in after the Nov. ‘94 elections. It is also obvious that the GOP lunatics are steering the ship of state straight for the rocks.
Maybe Wall Street, or at least a faction of it, has noticed that the economy performed better under Clinton than under either of the Bushes.
Maybe that faction, at least, has switched parties.
Cue Obama: a guy comes out of a brief career in state politics, makes a pretty speech in 2004, serves part of one term in the federal Senate, and then decides to run for president. AND THIS GUY HAS THE MOST MONEY OF ANY OF THE CONTENDERS. “Oh, he got that from a netroot network of small donors”–yeah, right, and David Vitter’s used diapers smell like fresh cinnamon rolls. With that huge war chest and a network of dedicated activists [cough *cultists and thugs* cough], the new guy bolts to a surprising lead, and then, once the previous favorite recovers from the shock and starts gaining ground, nearly all of the party’s elder statesmen start calling for her to drop out and let the newbie have it. WTF?
Obama also, at times, spouts right-wing talking points on SS “reform”. A nominally-Democratic President Obama maybe could do what no GOP Prez could–”reform” SS, while any criticism of his doing so could be dismissed as “racist”, since he happens to have an African dad.
Can you say “Trojan Horse”, boys and girls?
If Obama is nominated, watch the behavior of the weasels of the MSM [I like to call it the “Corporate Holodeck Media”]. So far, the media weasels have been kissing both Obama’s and McCain’s butts.
If the MSM keeps kissing McCain’s butt, but starts kicking Obama’s butt, forget this post.
But if the MSM keeps kissing Obama’s butt while suddenly turning like a pack of hyenas on their old pal McCain, if they start saying “He’s old”, “His health is dubious”, “He wants 100 years in Iraq”, “He has a short fuse–do you want his finger on The Button?”, then we will know the fix is in.
Say howdy to the new Democratic Party folks–with the same Chicago School economic policies as the GOP: sink-or-swim for the common citizen and socialism for the fat cats, but without all that buzz-killing church stuff. Under the New Democrats, you’ll be able to smoke pot and have sex with consenting farm animals, but if you get too sick or injured to work, or just can’t find work, then it’s on the truck and off to the Soylent Green plant with you, deadbeat! while the old business class elite and the new “creative class” elite party the night away on the upper floors, just like in Fritz Lang’s “METROPOLIS”.

OpenyourEyes..yes I reread what I wrote. I don't think you get it though. McCain is being portrayed as not willing to meet with Hamas because they are viewed as a terrorist organization. I did not hear the term pre-conditions used. I understand that is what he meant. But that is not how he is being portrayed. His surrogates need to be more accurate and so does McCain. Say what you mean. No do some type of all things to all people charade. He also said he recognized the inevitablility to having to deal with people we don't like.
Nixon met with the Chinese and GW Bush met with the North Koreans. We also supported Marcos in the Phillippines and the Shah of Iran..two of the most corrupt and repressive leaders. So it sounds to me like McCain needs a dose of reality. We need leverage, assurances and then a meeting. America consistently has adopted the lesser of two evils policy. That is what has gotten us into trouble. Look at Iran as a result of out failed policy there. Also how is our policy towards Iran and Palentine working so far? You need to truly open your eyes and think beyond the Rush Limbaugh homepage.

I really wish Obama and his supporters would stop crying. Obama did say that he would sit down with President Ahmadinejad without preconditions. Maybe that's a good idea; maybe that's a bad idea. But he did say it. And Bush never did mention him by name. It seems to me that he was merely reiterating what he has been saying for the past nearly eight years:"I won't negotiate with terrorists, etc. etc."
Methinks Obama doth protest too much.
