Clinton Insider Jumping to Obama?
May 19th 2008 3:54PM
Filed Under:eHillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Featured Stories, 2008 President
It's beginning to look a lot like the general election. During the last week, haymakers Barack Obama and John McCain threw at each other dominated headlines. Meanwhile, an article on the front page of The New York Times ponders the significance of "the waning days" of Senator Clinton's campaign while The Washington Post reports that fund raisers for Clinton and Obama are working on a merger. While the Clinton campaign continues to remind us that it's not over, Ben Smith of The Politico reports that Clinton's former campaign manager and perennial Clinton insider Patti Solis Doyle discussed working for the Obama campaign in the general election with Obama's chief strategist David Axelrod. "I've talked to Patti throughout," Axelrod said, "I know that she wants to be helpful in a general election campaign, and we appreciate that."
In February, Solis Doyle made headlines when she was shifted from the role of campaign manager to senior adviser to the campaign. At the time, Mark Silva of the The Swamp reported that Solis Doyle didn't tell Clinton until after the New Hampshire primary that funding had run dry and that there was next to no cash on hand.
Smith reports that Solis Doyle didn't deny that the subject of a job with the Obama campaign came up in her talks with Axelrod, but she maintains that no specifics were discussed. "Obviously, when this thing is done," Axelrod said, "we're going to want to bring talented people from all over the party into the fold here. We're not there yet."

Nicole, I really don't think someone in Hillary's camp would do anything like that. That's a little off the wall, and it takes a lot of energy to do something that stupid. What I think happened was that Hillary thought that she could wrap up this campaign and be considered the winner too early on and when Mr. Obama started winning, she was in a state of shock and just never recovered from it. Being in the White House is not a given, even though your husband served there, I think she jumped the gun too quickly.

We, the Democratic law-abiding, tax-paying hard-working "bitter Americans"
LOVE HILLARY
WE LOVE HER STRENGTH, HER FORTITUDE, HER INTELLECT, HER STAMINA
HER WISDOM HER PLAN ... WE LOVE HILLARY
AND WE STAND WITH HILLARY ALL THE WAY.

THE ARROGANCE AND THE GALL !!!
Obama claims victory before all 50 states have voted !!
Obama claims "unity" while exercising and practicing deep racial divide.
Obama will claim anything and he will turn on anyone to get elected.
Obama declared in his book to side with muslims when the winds of
change come, but he denies his muslim family and heritage.
Obama is muslim by birth, changed his Barry name to Hussein when he
came of age, but he denies he is muslim.
Obama is 35% Arab and 15% black, but uses black people to vote for
him.
Obama is 50% white but he has contempt for his mothers race.
Obama is a junior rookie, with no experience, smooth talk, and
messianic charisma, and he can do no wrong in eyes of his followers.
Obama wants to "change America" without a plan but I am certian he
has a secret agenda and a secret plan.
The winds of change are-a-coming, and we MUST STOP this impostor.
Vote Hillary or McCain.
There will be no Hussein Obama in our white house.

WITH BASHING HILLARY AND BASHING WOMEN,THE OLDER VOTERS, THE LUNCH BUCKETS DEMS, THE APPALACHIANS, AND LATINOS OVER AND OVER AGAIN I COULD NEVER VOTE FOR OBAMA.. WE WERE PERSONALLY ATTACKED.

Hillary is a woman, and so am I, thats not really an issue. I don't believe Obama is an experienced individual capable of running the united states government. Look at what Bush has done, he also is not a capable person. Its time we wake up and realize this is a complicated task, running the US. Im not sure about Hillary and McCain, which is more capable, i continue to research and study that issue, but I am sure Obama is not.
elizabeth santilli5:23PMMay 19th 2008
I'LL NEVER VOTE FOR OBAMA, EVEN IF THE DNC PRESSURES HILLARY TO BECOME HIS RUNNING MATE.
HILLARY 08 OR McCAIN 08 - IT'S DNC'S CHOICE.
IF HILLARY LEAVES THE PRIMERY ELECTION I'M LEAVING THE DEM. PARTY. I DON'T WANT TO BE A PART OF THIS UNFAIR DEM PARTY...

TRAITOR TO CLINTON --SO GO THE TRAITOR TO OUR DEAR COUNTRY
BEWARE OF THE DANGEROUS OBAMA -- DO NOT VOTE FOR HIM ---CAN YOU EVEN IMAGINE MICHELLE AS A FIRST LADY
HILLARY OR I VOTE FOR MCCAIN

Many of the bloggers sound like a lot of poor losers to me.
Senator Obama will be one of our greatest presidents.
Michelle is an intelligent woman with a wonderful sense of humor and will be an exceptional first lady.
Bill Clinton tried to get a third term in the White House via Hillary. Sorry ladies it didn't work.

This article seems a little suspicious, and I think Axelrod is trying to kick up some internal problems with the Hillary camp. Seems pretty obvious.
Everything is way too premature, and the majority of the MSM and Obama followers have been calling this primary season over since Iowa, and yet, here we are, and the race is still very close.
Hillary is still the best candidate to go up against McCain.
Hillary wins the blue and purple states needed to win in the general election. Obama has won many red republican states by caucus, and strangely, these small red states also have more delegates compared to big blue ones. So, sometimes the "math" even needs to be looked at closely.
Math is NICE, but when one analyzes who can beat McCain, and who is forecasted for the general, we need to look to Hillary. Her base is very strong, and she is not as liberal as Obama--the country would not put in such a liberal president as Obama. Also, Obama has outspent Hillary sometimes 4 to 1, and she still wins. The media has been on Obama's side, and yet she still wins. The superdelagates have gone against their own states that Hillary won, and yet she still wins.
BTW, superdelegates can say whatever they want, but none of them have VOTED yet, and so their numbers cannot be calculated to claim victory, like Obama says he will do tomorrow night--that's just so arrogant and naive!
Also, Bill Clinton vs. Michelle Obama as first spouse? GIMME A BREAK! The entire world knows who Bill is, and he is well-liked. Bill was the most well-traveled president in history and he is great at diplomacy. Michelle is only good on crapping on America and going to white hating America hating liberation theology cult churches.
I'll never be forced to vote for Obama, and there are SO MANY Hillary supporters who will NOT vote for Obama, and Obama keeps saying that we will come to him, but many of us are American first, not political party first, and he is going to get a serious wake up call if he thinks he would inherit all of Hillary's dem voters. Not gonna happen.
Hillary 08!

During a Michelle Obama appearance at Carnegie Mellon University, the school paper The Tartan reported the attention-getting phrase:
The Tartan's correspondents observed one event coordinator say to another, "Get me more white people, we need more white people." To an Asian girl sitting in the back row, one coordinator said, "We're moving you, sorry. It's going to look so pretty, though."
"I didn't know they would say, 'We need a white person here,' " said attendee and senior psychology major Shayna Watson, who sat in the crowd behind Mrs. Obama. "I understood they would want a show of diversity, but to pick up people and to reseat them, I didn't know it would be so outright."

Anyway, look at these maps, Karl Rove says that Hillary can beat McCain in the general election but Obama cannot beat McCain:
http://noquarterusa.net/blog/2008/05/19/karl-roves-maps-prove-hillary-can-beat-mccain-but-guess-who-cant/
Also:
What is going on with this talk that there is a tape of Michelle ranting a racist "whitey" tirade at the pulpit at Trinity Church? If it's true, Obama better release it early so it doesn't blow up later, and there is also a republican billionaire who has put out a million dollar reward for the tape?

So sad to still see so much racism in this country. This man is simply trying to change America for the better and change Washington and special interests. Hillary is old Washington, and that family is bad news. A disgrace to the country. I am 50 and voting democrat for the first time, but never for Hillary but for Mr. Obama and I hope Mr. Edwards.
Randy5:59PMMay 19th 2008
Well It appears the Democrates are going to do it to themselves again. Another Republican in the White House. God Bless America, God Bless Hillary
I don't see how Obama can win ? He doesn't have the Jewish, Latino, Woman, Working class groups strong on his side. Is is so far left. So naive. So inexperienced. So inmature.
Vote Hillary 2008 Kentucky and Oregon

This the beginning of the end for Hillary and the end of the beginning for Obama.
bring on those gun loving cowboys and cowgirls of McCain and their NRA.
we gonna teach them how to be civil and how to join the 21 st century.

We denied a truly qualified candidate, Al Gore, the presidency in 2000 and ended up with 8 years of Bush. Here we go again, now with Obama headed for the White House. Disgraceful.

Fund merger? I wouldn't help Clinton payback a dime of her debt. She caused it..she can pay it of with her and hubby's 109 million dollar a year income. Good bye Clintons!

Sounds too me like Hillary's insiders betrayed her early on. One wonders if people in her own camp were planted to damage her campaign. I don't doubt it. My instinct just can't stomach Obama....pure evil too me.
