Clinton: FL, MI Fights Could Go To Convention
May 21st 2008 4:13PM
Filed Under:eHillary Clinton, Democrats, Breaking News, Primaries, 2008 President
Hillary Clinton was asked by the AP whether she would consider taking the battle over Florida's and Michigan's delegates all the way to Denver. The presidential candidate said Wednesday, "Yes I will. I will, because I feel very strongly about this."She made the comments in the Sunshine State, where both she and Barack Obama are campaigning. If you'll remember, Florida and Michigan had their delegates yanked after going against party rules and voting early. Clinton took both states, but Obama's name wasn't on the ballot in Michigan.
The Democratic National Committee meets late next week and they'll discuss the matter of what to do with those up in the air delegates.
Remember when Clinton insider Terry McAuliffe said Hillary would probably drop out in early June? Yeah, I didn't believe him either.

Thank you Hillary for staying in the race!
In light of what has happened recently in the Middle East. Obama should definitely be considered a laughingstock for his flip flopping comments regarding Iraq. My impression is that sending in Obama as our Leader is like sending in my 11 year old son. He's smart but not realistic about the seriousness and potential threat to our country and other Middle East countries in the region.
The forward marching, loud support for Obama reminds me so much of the forward marching, loud support in the months leading up to the Iraq war. We Americans were marching forward without really considering the evidence that was standing smack in front of us. The media, pundits and Obama supporters are pushing us towards what could be an even scarier handling of foreign affairs than that of George Bush's Administration.
Does anyone remember the fairy tale "The Emperor’s New Clothes?" It may take a trickling of true brave Americans, Pundits or Super Delegates to stand up and shout the obvious. Obama has no clothes!

EC is right.
Hillary needs to keep fighting. Obama is a national security threat who is a junior Senator with a non-existent to poor record, someone who voted "present" 130 times, and was a no-show other times. Plus he wrote books and campaigned for the presidency the majority of his time in the US Senate.
Obama has done NOTHING. He talks about "change" but he never changed his district in Chicago--only made it worse by enabling his slumlord best buddy Tony Rezko.
Hillary BETTER keep fighting. Over 17 million people and WAY more are depending on her.

As a Mom I feel that the change to elect a "Mom" for President could only help our ailing country, not only based on the fact of being a Mom, but that being an additional qualification. I find it rather odd how Michigan and Florida are basically pro- Hillary and somehow cant find it to allow our voices to be heard... as we all know that we personally made the decision to move our elections up, and the decision wasnt made for us by the higher ups...ahh bitter sarcasm...hmmm.... Some democracy we pay taxes to participate in. As a Michiganian I am rather offended that my voice is unable to be heard due to some ridiculous mumbo jumbo ploy. Is it the Republicans forcing us to vote against our democratic preferences?? Is it deeper than that in not allowing us finally to have a female for president?? I thought we lived in the new millenium. Just a disgruntled mom who is sick of being embarrassed by an all unknowing political system.

Since they both were running ads in Florida, the votes should stand as is. Carvelle, Rendell and a few others said they would PAY to have a revote in Michigan, and Obama sat around playing with himself and didn't agree with that proposal either. It must have scared him to death knowing that both states were hugh Hillary voters. Now he is in Florida begging for votes. I hope the Floridians tell him to go the hell back to Chicago and take Michelle, Wright, Ayers, and Farrahkan (all haters) with him.

Go Hillary!!
If Obama and his backers are so gungho about Democratic solidarity.. let him drop out!!
Henry5:22PMMay 21st 2008
Debi-Try to believe me. I would vote for a woman if I believed in her. Clinton has been around, we know her, without trying to degrade her, she is no the one but it will happen. As far as the party policy, it is fair. Just try to change your car insurance policy or homeowner insurance policy because you do not agree after you have signed. Rule for MI&FL should be enforced as well. Not in any one favor.

Remember the election of LiL Bush the first time. He lost! Hillary has already won florida which makes her the clear winner. Obama stayed off the ballot in Michigan because he knew he would loose big time. Obama is cowardly to stay in the race and should drop out he knows he lost and it is a disgrace to continue this sharade. We are not a communist country that doesnt count its votes. He is the clear looser. Obama betrayed his "father figure," Jeramiah Wright, and this sheds light on Obama's character. Hillary is more qualified, smarter, and ready to rock and roll on the first day she will be elected president.

Imagine,
Obama having tea with Iran President Mahmud Ahmadi-Nejad? here is what the conversation would look like:
"Mahmud, have some tea, lets talk about you throwing bombs at Israel. I personally don't mind, as long as you throw little bombs not big ones. We can run it by Farrakhan and Jeremiah, see what they think"
And Ahmadi-Nejad would say "we are brothers, and we seek cooperation - we mean no harm, (takes a sip of tea to help the next few words come out of his throat) "we are friends of Israel" and he would almost choke on the words. Obama would say, "good, good, we have a lot in common, we are looking forward to joint cooperation in the future. More tea Mahmud?"
Mahmud Ahmadi-Nejad would then return to his hotel room and high-five his muslim terrorist friends, joyful of his extreme good luck, celebrating the dumb-ass victory over the patsy he has just placated. They would roll on the floor in hillarious laughter"
the end.

Ok. so now I really am thinking about not voting for Hillary if she cheats her way in. She is becoming an embarrassment to women everywhere. "My way, or I'll make your life miserable until I get my way" Very pathetic. If she would have done a better job earlier and not underestimated her competition, she might be in a better position than having to change the rules. Also, while I am on a roll...her camp is where the race card was played. That is when I knew what a devious politican she is who would stoop to anything to win. My daughter would be embarrassed. I am glad to say this 60 year old white woman is smarter than that.

The media have been in Obama's bed from the very beginning. They have intimidated the super-delegates by whipping them into submission. If the super delegates voice their opinion, the other's them traitor's like they did with Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones when she said she would never abandon Hillary. Super Delegates are free to voice their own insight and give the party it's best chances. But, all have been caught up in the same deception that has soothed the sheep. When all is said and done and Denver is upon her, Hillary needs to take her constituents and flee the far-left extravagant folly of all the infestation of the Democratic party. The DNC are no longer the party of the working man. They have downgraded to elitist champagne cocktail sippers.
David S.5:37PMMay 21st 2008
While I am not thrilled with Obama or Clinton, it is clear Sen. Clinton needs to step aside as soon as the primaries are over. I don't want to believe she wants to destroy the Democratic party. If she takes this to the convention in August, say hello to four more years of a Republican in the White House. And the Democrats can take solace in the fact that they have had only two Democratic presidents in the last forty years.

This process is over. She will not get the nomination, period. Obama will be the candidate unless he drops out. End of story.
