McCain, Clinton, Obama: The 'Nightmare Ticket'?
May 21st 2008 2:37PM
Filed Under:eRepublicans, John McCain, Featured Stories, 2008 President, Veepstakes
and John McCain battling out from under a frantic GOP dogpile, the speculation has turned to the so-called "Veepstakes," with Democratic speculation focused around a "Dream Ticket" of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. But where does that leave McCain? His choice of a VP is going to be a tough one, because he needs to balance out his ticket with someone even more conservative than he is to satisfy his base, but his age will make the Veep a lightning rod for scrutiny in the general election.
Satire website The Onion has a novel solution:
WASHINGTON-Presidential hopefuls John McCain (R-AZ), Barack Obama (D-IL), and Hillary Clinton (D-NY) announced Monday their plans to form what many Beltway observers have already dubbed the "2008 Nightmare Ticket," a calculated move that political analysts say offers voters the worst of both worlds.Given the crop McCain has to choose from, this might be the best he can do.
...The candidates said they had not yet decided who would fill the offices of president, vice president, and a new post the nominees are calling "the middle president."

I don't see how one of the most liberal Democrats is going to beat one of the most moderate Republicans. Obama does not care about personal responsibility or hard work and wants to bail out everyone whos made bad decisions using the money of those of us who are responsible and work hard. That way lazy people can have the best of both worlds.

Obama/Clinton, Mccain could only hope and pray for this match up. So far no real ammo to use on Obama.
Rev. wright and bittergate only goes so far, but throw in hillary and bill, they will have a field day. MCCain could do as he is now, nothing and win.;

As a middle child, I take umbrage with the idea of creating a "middle president." Whoever that person is, they will never get the respect the POTUS will receive, and the VPOTUS will be spoiled by everyone.
The middle president will be in therapy for the rest of his or her life. Codependency, anyone?

there is no dream ticket. Obama the " unifier " ruined that deal a long time ago.
Obama hates Hillary. oh he knows he needs her to win.
but we have had enough of Presidents and VP's who do not like each other with Bush/Cheney.
then with nominees like Kerry and Edwards.
we need a team, two people who will work together, that compliment each other.
not one that will just use the other, and take credit for the other's ideas, solutions, and qualifications.
and Obama needs someone he can control. and use.
so
VOTE FOR HILLARY ALL THE WAY YES WE WILL.

All you Clinton joy-sticks need to get the Math straight. CLINTON ONLY GAINED ONE DELEGATE IN TUESDAY NIGHT'S 2 RACES.
In Oregon, Obama won and recieved 30 delegates. In Kentucky Clinton won and Obama got 14 delegates. That brings his 44.
In Oregon, Clinton lost and got 18 delegates. In Kentucky, Clinton won and got 37 delegates. That brings her total delegates won in Tuesday night's contest to 45.
As a result, Clinton rounds out with ONE more delegates than Obama on Tuesday night's races.
The mirror-image results did little to change the direction of the all-important election math that favors Obama.
That, combined with Oregon's results, gave Obama 1,961 out of the 2,026 needed. Clinton has 1,777.
Tuesday night's contests give Obama a majority of the delegates elected in all 56 primaries and caucuses combined; as distinct from nearly 800 superdelegates who hold the balance of power at the convention

As the weakest candidate in the race, Obama can't afford to have a vice president. He can't even control his wife and her bad manners and big mouth. So a Vice President with a mind of his/her own would create an even bigger nightmare for him. His preference is that we anoint him King (or even better, celebrate him as the second coming of the messiah) like most of the media has already done. Then he can promise to walk across the waters to the middle east, preach sermons to the hostile leaders there and bring peace and prosperity to the world. That's the only solution he has offered so far to implement the "hope and change" message he loves so much.

Nobody is talking about Hillary running with Obama as his VP except her supporters and her camp(in private).
Obama is not stupid to have an ex-first lady and an ex-president with him in the white house telling him what to do, it will be too crowded and might turn into he said/she said ...instead of running the country.
so all of u Hillary worshipers, get it out of ur heads, it's not gonna happen.
Most likely it's gonna be Edwards or Jim Webb.

Well CNN Says Hillary won 37 Kentuckuy and 19 Oregon for 56 as of 2 PM Mountain 05/21/08 and Obama won 14 Kentucky 29 Oregon for 43 total so 56 - 43 = 13 More Delegates for hillary. Sorry per CNN your math is wrong.

Just a couple of what I consider serious questions for all the people who will not vote for Obama if he gets the party's nod.
1. Are you truly a Democrat or are you posing as a Hillary supporter just to scare people about Obama's electability?
2. Will you be able to live with your vote if McCain wins and we have a third war (IRAN) and the continuation of the quagmire that Iraq has become? Sidenote: Pay attention to who the deployed U.S. Soldiers are supporting, and then tell them that you couldn't vote for the guy who will get them home, because of some really "Junior High" reasoning.
Please someone, answer these questions, without calling me a name or anything like that, it doesn't move the debate forward, which is the ultimate goal of a debate, despite the fact that most think it is about winning.

1. I am a Republican that prays that if I have to live under a Demo president it is Hillery!
2. I certainally will live with my Vote for Mac! If we get into a third war the Iranians will have done something to cause it to happen.
3. I couldn't agree more! ASK the GI's ON the ground! MOST by far want to see this thing done- - They are not your Demo CUT AND RUN types!- - - See, and I didn't even call you any names!

Want to wake up from the nightmare? Google Ron Paul, and be prepared to write-in the vote, or join fellow patriots in changing this country from the rotten core, inside out. He's our only hope for restoring individual freedoms!

There is no way I can morally vote for Obama. What little the press has actually broadcast regarding Obama, other than worshiping him, scares me to death. The lies regarding his pastor and friend of 20 years, his radical friends and associates, and his flip flop on NAFTA and campaign financing, will not allow me to vote for him. Both he and his wife spend too much time trying to explain away the unpatriotic and racist things they have said. There is no dress rehersal for being President. And since we still know so very little about the real Obamas, thanks to the biased press, I don't know how anyone in good conscience could vote for him. Remember, we are not voting for the winner of American Idol. In addition, Obama never says what or how he will change things. I will have absolutely no problem voting for McCain if Obama gets the nomination, and I don't know anyone personally that will not vote McCain if Obama gets nominated. Hillary is the only solution for The USA. Please note also, It's not the color of Obama's skin that I don't like, it's pretty much everything else about him. I would have no problem with a black president, but is Obama really the best black candidate rthat could be found?
Hillary 2008 - before it's too late!

Testing--one--two--three. Amazing my intentional miss-speak wasne by bypassed and go unnoticed. All of those robust Clintonites all failed the test. That is what happens when you have a one track mind.
Actually, Clinton picked up a total of 11 delegates by way of Kentucky & Oregon. Bit of an expensive deal that won't get her past go. Clinton loves to brag & lie to drain that last dime out of her supporters. Clinton has failed and that also is bypassed, goes unoticed. In one ear and out the other. Over & out. :-)

what kind of an election is this when a Republican voter can't get a conservative elected. McCain isn't a choice of the conservative Republicans. He belongs on the other side with Democrats. All in all the three candidates leave nothing to be desired. I'm not the only on that feels this way, so why do we have candidates that we do? Democracy? I don't think so!
