Hamas 'Unendorses' Obama
Jun 6th 2008 9:56AM
Filed Under:eDemocrats, Republicans, Barack Obama, John McCain, Breaking News
For John McCain, it was a favorite staple of the campaign trail:
"I think it is very clear who Hamas wants to be the next president of the United States."
This assertion was based on an interview that a Hamas spokesman, Ahmed Yousef, gave to ABC in which he said:
"Actually, we like Mr. Obama. We hope he will [win] the election and I do believe he is like John Kennedy, great man with great principle."
Well, unfortunately for McCain, Hamas has now officially un-endorsed Obama after hearing the candidate's speech at AIPAC. Among other things, Obama suggested the Jerusalem should remain the undivided capital of the Jewish state. That prompted the following rebuke from a Hamas official:
"The Democratic and Republican parties support totally the Israeli occupation at the expense of the interest and rights of Arabs and Palestinians. Hamas does not differentiate between teh two presidential candidates, Obama and McCain, because their policies regarding the Arab-Israel conflict are the same and are hostile to us, therefore we do have no preference and are not wishing for either of them to win."
I'm sure McCain will now amend his stump speech accordingly.

No, I heard that Ahmed Yousef has been saying that he regretted the Batchelor / Klein radio interview and didn't mean to harm Obama's candidacy and was going to "unendorse" Obama weeks ago.

It's okay to support your candidadte McCain, but don't don't do it at the expense of truth. You must be a sleazy woman to be fabricating a radio interview. I feel sorry for you and people around you.

an Unendorsement? Is that sort of like "I have resigned from my church"? Not because I don't believe but because it harms me politically.

The radio interview is how the famous Hamas /Obama endorsement became public.
(Oh gawd, every single thing that is remotely negative about Obama is a lie. lol)

Unendorsing? Is that like "resigning" from one's church simply because it is politically expedient? LOL

Anyone find it odd that Obama could visit Kenya in support of terrorist Odinga and not our troops in support of the good 'ol USA?

It is ashame that an American citizen can pass such "hate crimes" as what they are, when they carry on mesages they know nothing about and try and distort a Presidential canadate for the UNITED STATES of America.

OBAMAS GOOD FRIEND!!!!

Now the superdelegates can unendorse him as he has no chance of winning in Nov. anyway. The Obama campaign & the DNC's tactics can be held responsible for his demise. They failed to realize how important the votes of the "little" people are. The election was stolen from Hillary.

I believe Obama has a great chance of winning this election if people would put their differences aside and look for the better of our future together as one. If americans of all races would regard one another as the same, we would be alot better off than hating each other because of the color of our skin. If one show's you respect you should give the same. I think Obama will help bring America togther unlike Hillary who feels as if African Americans still need the approval of white americans to get anywhere in life. I love the United States for the freedom I have, but I would love it even more if I could be respected for my qualities and intellegence instead of feeling like I'm being allowed something or given privilages but must stay in my place. It's time for change, and thats what Obama stands for. Its time for all races to make ammends and come together. The economy is doing really bad because of the Bush administration and putting McCain in office is just going to make it worst. Do you really want that rather than just putting your differences aside and voting for a man who will bring relief? Think about it Americans, its not that hard.

The last time I heard of a presidential candidate, who flip-flopped as much as Obama, was four years ago- and he was soundly defeated by our current president.
fkcb212:30PMJun 6th 2008
Don't worry.
Obama has an excellent chance of winning in November.
McBush will give him a tough fight and we will ALL be glad when the election is over.
At the very least, we will be rid of the ACTUAL presence of Bush and Cheney. If we get McBush, hoawever, their ghosts will haunt us for at least four more years.
Talk about frightening!
(Hey, did you hear about Kim Il Jong endorsing McBush?)
fkcb212:35PMJun 6th 2008
Oh dear!
No, I KNOW that the flip-flop title now and forever belongs to McBush. There is NO contest! He was for the war, before he was against it, before he was for it...
Think about it! McBush even flipped on torture! (God help him.) Stem cells. Abortion. Nut case preachers. Immigration. Bush himself. Cheney.
Sheesh.
Davidg12:37PMJun 6th 2008
Well, I know I feel much better now.
Really, now don't you think if HAMAS really wanted someone to be president they would openly endorse him?
I guess even HAM-ASS (I'm sorry it's too easy) has a PR Department now.
Davidg12:39PMJun 6th 2008
Obama quoted "It's not the Hamass I knew".

fkcb, you need to get your parties and candidates straignt. That line about the war was in 2004 and became John Kerry's hallmark. In fact, the title of the book he is working on is "I Was For the War Before I Was Against It Before etc. and Other Easy Ways to Lose A General Election". It's the book the Obama folks are using in their campaign.

Yeah, the whole Hamas thing cracks me up. The McCain sheep seem to believe that Hamas would actually endorse a presidential candidate-- instead of, like their fellow terrorist Rush Limbaugh, trying to create an environment of chaos whereby their true candidate, John McCain, gets elected. Terrorists need a "Great Satan" to justify their existence. Believe me, Hamas, Al Quaeda, Hizbollah want John McCain to win in the worst way. They have propered and grown like never before in the eight years of the Bush administration.
mouser99971:28PMJun 6th 2008
Yup, it's like saying, "I don't want Rev. Hagee's support, because even though he's been spewing vile hatred for years and I never had a problem with it before, now it's on YouTube."
Oh, wait, only Obama's supporters are allowed to come under scrutiny. Welcome to the general election, John McCain.
Peggy2:02PMJun 6th 2008
You can't blame Hamas for the unendorsement. Even terrorist groups have pride. They've been watching Obama for the last month and every time he opens his mouth he's denouncing or rejecting some good friend or a group that has supported him for years. They noticed his campaign has been built on using and then throwing away friends, family members and anyone or anything else that got in the way of his ambition. So, as good terrorists do, they decided to strike first. Guess this is one "hostile leader" who won't be sitting down with Obama to make love, not war.
