Presidential candidate John McCain wasted no time in reacting to the Supreme Court’s ruling on Gitmo detainees, calling it, “THE WORST DECISION IN OUR NATION'S HISTORY."

He lashed out at the five liberals who were in the majority and praised the four conservatives for their firm opposition.
McCAIN HAD EQUALLY HARSH WORDS FOR BARACK OBAMA WHO HAD QUICKLY VOICED APPROVAL THE COURT’S RULING.

These are enemy combatants, these are people who are not citizens, they are not and never have been given the rights that the citizens of this country have.

Our first obligation is the safety and security of this nation and the men and women who defend it. This decision will harm our ability to do that.

McCain used the court’s controversial decision as an example of why the next president should appoint only conservative justices.

McCain has previously drawn the ire of some conservatives for urging that Guantanimo be closed and that some interrogation techniques be banned as torture.

McCAIN MAY BE A "CONTROVERSIAL" CANDIDATE TO SOME, BUT HE IS 100% CORRECT ON FUTURE APPOINTMENTS TO THE SUPREME COURT.

No, but we don't want Obama either, so what I'm finding is people are willing to vote for McCain regardless of his middle east policy. Since he's been around and hasn't been polarizing they'll give him four years and then maybe just maybe the democrats will actually nominate someone electable.

We went to war in Iraq not because we had to, but because a Cheney-led group of neocons schemed to implement, as Scott McClellan said, "....a philosophy of coercive democracy, a belief that Iraq was ripe for conversion from a dictatorship into a beacon of liberty through the use of force, and a conviction that this could be achieved at a nominal cost."

Now McCain wants to continue this?!? And some of you are beholden enough to the Republican party to go along with it?!? NO WAY IN HELL, we won't let you neocons continue destroying our country -- simple as that!

This administration began the Iraq war with the domineering and high-flown vision to tranform a region into ourselves -- one as different as the Middle East. The arrogance and exaggerated pride to make this decision and lie the American public into a war was so unbelievable they got away with it.

You only get involved in foreign entanglements as a last resort. They are dangerous, risky and they end up hurting you in the long run. You don't send troops in harm's way to die and kill hundreds of thousands of Iraqis by choice. Keep self-defense as your primary mission. Don‘t go off into some foreign mission that has to do with some kind of nation building. This administration can't take care of our own country much less clean up the other side of the planet.

This type of coercive democracy will last only as long as we got guns pointed at people's heads.

I’ve heard about all those educated people voting for Obama because they thought he was cute or it was the cool thing to do. Well I am a college educated white person and I don't care if he is as cute as a newborn baby, or as ugly as an old mutt dog.

It’s not necessarily more education that people need in order to make a decision in this election, it’s common sense. Education can be gained through many paths including life’s journeys, but common sense is innate. Either you have it or you don’t.

I don't care if he is white, black or purple polka dotted --- It is all about his “experience”, or “good judgment”, or “abilities” and OBAMA has NONE! He is only good at talking and smiling --- these are his only positive assets. I will not take the time to restate the MANY negatives! He is a danger to America!

is why Obama voiced his approval of the court's ruling. He will approve any ruling for his Muslim friends, in America or in the Middle East.

Replace Dems in congress, I dont agree that Muslims hate the United States and Christianity. Im a muslim American with a middle eastern background and I love this Country just as much as you do, and I'm willing to fight for the Democracy and freedom of our Great Country. Dont forget that Terrorists who want to wage war on the United States are also waging war on Muslim Americans.I understand where you might think that all Muslims hate America since the Terrorists are using religion to justify a cause that doesnt exist, but let me tell say that i do not see a difference between a christian, Jew or Muslim "Were all Humanbeings and everyone is entitled to believe in the faith they choose but just because someone has a different faith doesnt give noone the right to hate them, treat them differentley, or want to kill them. I also believe that John McCain should be the next President of the United States for the sake of Freedom and Innocent lives. Why bother voting. George Bush manuvered his way into eight years and the DNC slapped the democrats in the ass and gave unearned delegates to Obama. So I don't think our vote counts. But to be sure make sure you support McCain unless somehow we get Hillary back.
