Rudy Will Stump for Cash
Jun 15th 2008 11:42PM
Filed Under:eRepublicans, Rudy Giuliani, Breaking News, 2008 President, Fundraising
Was there really a time when Rudy Giuliani was the GOP front runner? Surely that occurred in some alternate reality, right? These days Rudy is unemployed, aimless and deep in debt. To help get rid of some of that red ink, not to mention get back in the public eye, he has come up with an unorthodox idea. Rudy's offering to appear at fund raisers for Republican candidates... as long as some of the cash drummed up ends up in his coffers. That's right, he wants a percentage of the money he helps raise.
Giuliani's plan is not sitting well with some GOP officials, who accuse him, anonymously, of selfishly trying to take money desperately needed by local candidates:The unusual request underscores the financial predicament Mr. Giuliani finds himself in, after he ended his presidential bid this year with roughly $3.6 million in campaign debt. Traditionally, prominent party figures help lower-tier candidates by headlining fund-raising events in return for good will and future political alliances, but do not receive funds themselves.
Mr. Giuliani's debt includes a $500,000 personal loan that he made to the campaign, according to his latest campaign finance report.
"In a year when our candidates are struggling to raise money, this is just another burden," said a leading Republican Party strategist, who was briefed about the mayor's request. "This is not about helping the party. This is about helping Rudy Giuliani."Neither the GOP nor Giuliani's campaign is saying how many candidates have taken Rudy up on his cash grab. I'm betting that's because none have.

All the money in the world will not help the Republican party.

Do you ever wonder that six months before the end of the Bush/Chaney administration we are suddenly having this fuel crisis?
I for one am afraid that is another Bush/Chaney faked crisis - you know the same as looking for weapons of mass destruction!
I hope the justice department will investigate if Chaney and Halliburton are behind the climbing gas prices.
Is this another Chaney tactic to force the American people to permit drilling in Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

He and Hillary should get together and have a few looser fundraisers together.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Hillary Clinton was not a loser Hillary Clinton lost nothing she ran for the highest office in the land and still has 18 million voters wanting her to run as an Independent, she is a first class person, lawyer, wife , mother, and Senator, who has accomplished much in her life time and will accomplish much, much, more ....how's YOUR resume'?
Rudy Giuliani the former Mayor of New York City is admired by many and I find it a shame he is such dire need of money, I guess it's not just the middle class.
Having money or not having money doesn't make you what you are as I am sure you "$$$$$$" are aware .

Some kind of nerve, I'd say. With all his skeletons he should not have run anyway. If it hadn't been for 9/11 his name would have been long forgotten. Now it will be remembered notoriously.

Wow good one Jerre. Then can you tell me why McCain has been a senator for 20 years, and has admitted to knowing nothing about the economy? Thats because John McCain has had his head in the sand with the rest of the republicans. Yea he's been there done that, {NOTHING} FOR THE MIDDLE CLASS AMERICA.

This is such biased media. Take a look at the headings for AOL News. Every sentence starts with Obama. Apparently they feel he is the only candidate. After all, he served a total of 143 days in the Senate(thats how long it was in session) and is now capable of being the President of the United States. Its amazing how gullible the news media thinks we are. Hillary was our best choice but now McCain is. He's been there, done that and more.
----------------------
A little lesson on history: Since the 70's none of our presidents had a national credential except Bush Senior and Ford. All the other presidents had only local experience at the state level. For people like you that don't know, Nixon, Carter, Reagen, Clinton and George Bush Jr never had national experience even for one day. At least Obama has been exposed at the national level, be it for just a few years. If McCain has been there and done that, then we don't want him because we want change. Change is good, and I hope you have enough education to understand what I mean by "change is good". We don't need "been there, done that", we need a intelligent leader that can bring change and move us away from the past of "been there, done that". "Been there, done that" has not worked for our economy, the energy crises, and our standing in the world. People like you want to keep us in this stagnant environment because you'er afraid of change. Every successful person would tell you that without change, there will be no progress and they would not be where they are today if they did make a change. As they say if you do what you've always done, you will get the same result you've always got. If you want this economy and all the ills we face to change, we must move in a different direction. Hope this helps you out in your everyday life.

WHAT OBAMA DOESN'T WANT THE VOTERS TO KNOW ABOUT REV WRIGHT and his church..
Are you aware that Obama's Uncle Rev Wright said the
following..
http://infidelsarecool.com/2008/04/07/jeremiah-wright-former-muslim/
REV WRIGHTS OWN WORDS..
Most of our members do not know that my Master’s Degree from the University of Chicago’s Divinity School was in the area of Islam in West Africa during the 19th Century — when the trans-Atlantic Slave
Trade was at its zenith. Islam has as many manifestations as Christianity and Judaism.
http://patterico.com/2008/03/20/wrights-stance-on-israel-could-cost-obama-jewish-votes/
Another of Wrights words..
"When his enemies find out that in 1984 I went to Tripoli to visit Moammar Gadhafi -- with [Louis] Farrakhan -- a lot of his Jewish support will dry up quicker than a snowball in hell," Wright said in
the interview.
Wright's teacher of Islam was a Dr Fazlur Rahman..
Connect the dots people.... Don't be fooled..This guys church is nothing but a islamic training center..
AND oBAMA WAS TRAINED THEIR FOR 20 PLUS YEARS..HIM LEAVING IT MEANS NOTHING..IT'S TEACHINGS ARE BURIED WITHIN oBAMAS SOUL..
Full of racial hate towards anybody that isn't black.. OPEN YOUR EYES..

Who said this? Who is the "leading Republican Party strategist"?

"Been there, done that"?
The definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over again and expect different results. Sorry, but I'm ready to try something new, what we've doing hasn't been working and it never will.

Dear Senator Obama!
I must say that I am quite distressed by the treatment of Senator
Hillary Clinton by your campaign. First is the really stupid decision
by the DNC to "take away" 4 of the delegates won by Clinton in
Michigan. It does NOTHING but "rub salt in the wounds" of Clinton's
supporters. It does NOT make your case to the Democratic Convention
any stronger. The delegates were certainly NOT "won" by your
campaign. In fact, I am surprised that you received even 100% of the
votes for "Other" as exit polls showed 25% of those were for Edwards.
This negotiation "win" with the DNC Rules Committee is nothing but
SELF-INDULGENT ARROGANCE!
The second, and most important, issue is the consideration of Clinton
as your running-mate. Senator Obama, you must be "asleep at the wheel"
if you don't see that Clinton's momentum into the very last primaries
shows a very significant weakness in your appeal to an absolutely
essential voting segment ---
rural and suburban blue collar workers, women, seniors, Hispanics and
Jews. You are being lulled into complacency with these voter groups
--- content to allow the biased media interpretations of the
significance of public opinion polls underscore your momentary
approval gains with some of these constituencies.
Good grief, Senator Obama, Clinton has a very effective campaign
organization in all of the "swing" states where you have been weak.
Are you so egotistical as to think you can as effectively build
support in these areas where you have failed in the primaries?
Whatever "negatives" are envisioned by your campaign advisors
regarding choosing Clinton as your Vice Presidential running-mate,
she can guarantee your victory!
Is it worth risking your victory in November to shut Clinton out of
the running for VP? Does your inexperience make Hillary and Bill
Clinton seem too threatening a prospect? Yes, this should be the year
of the Democrats. But you are a "wild card" Senator Obama. You have
accomplished nothing of great importance other than apparently
securing the Democratic Party nomination. There is no "depth" beneath
your talent for eloquent oratory, and for manipulating the Democratic
delegate selection process to your advantage.
No, Senator Obama. You will NOT secure my vote if you continue on the
same path. I don't know whether I will vote for McCain, or just stay
home. But I will NOT validate the disrespect your campaign had shown
Senator Hillary Clinton. She has earned the right to the Vice
Presidential nomination. Her campaign is no less historic than your
own ...
Sincerely,
Edward Slough

DON'T COUNT CLINTON OUT! HILLARY CLINTON FOR PRESIDENT 2008!
With the electoral college math so strongly in her favor, I don't
think anyone should count Hillary out of the running for the
Democratic Party presidential nomination. The polls consistently show
Obama losing to McCain in Florida, Michigan, Pennsylvania, West
Virginia, and Ohio. Analysts say Obama shouldn't even bother to
campaign in Florida and West Virginia. But Hillary is beating McCain
in all these states. In addition, Hillary might bring Arkansas and
Kansas into the Democratic column.
Neither Obama nor Clinton have "won" sufficient selected delegates to
take the nomination. That means that the so-called "super" delegates
have the decision. There are certainly a lot of things which could
happen between now and the August convention which could change the
current leanings or "commitments" of the super delegates. Obama is
floating retired military as possible Vice Presidential candidates.
This is to compensate for his lack of experience to be
Commander-In-Chief. But now the economy is tanking, gasoline and
energy prices are out of control, the mortgage crisis is escalating,
foreclosures are rapidly accelerating, food riots are breaking out
around the world. So how will Obama compensate for his lack of
economic experience?
The resistance of the Obama campaign to Clinton as his Vice
Presidential running mate may backfire. Clinton has strong Senate
Armed Services Committee experience. The Clinton economy was like
"Camelot" --- delivering the largest budget surplus in U.S. history.
And Clinton is trusted by the voters who will decide the crucial
swing states --- blue collar workers, women, seniors, Hispanics and
Jews. These are voters with whom Obama's support is weak. If these
issues move against Obama between now and the convention in August,
we could very well end up with a brokered convention.

STOP THIS "HATE-TALK!" IT DISGRACES AMERICA!
I support Senator Hillary Clinton because she knows how to get things
done in Washington. She did not rely on her "fame" as First Lady, or
on Bill, to earn the Democratic Party nomination. She got elected to
the Senate, rolled her sleeves up, and worked very hard and
productively with both sides of the aisle to advance the issues
important to her constituents and important to America.
However, her campaign has not been stellar. She made a major misstep
in allowing Obama to make her vote in favor of the Iraq War a major
campaign issue early in the campaign. Her refusal to "apologize" for
her vote was taken as "Clinton Hubris." She should have said that
Congress was misled and provided with distorted information upon
which to make decisions, and then said that, of course, if she knew
then what is now known, she would have voted differently.
What she should do now is make a very strong statement against the
racist, anti-Muslim attacks on Senator Obama. She should congratulate
the Obama campaign for winning more selected delegates. And she
should continue her battle for the nomination into the convention.
She must
overcome her pragmatism and speak-up with great moral authority
against the politics of hate. She needs to inspire her supporters to
be better Americans. She MUST overcome the media-fueled view that the
"Clintons" would do anything to win.
The continuation of the anti-Obama hate blogs will only lessen
Hillary's present and future political options. She must give a
strong and inspiring direction to the remainder of her campaign. Much
as I love him, she must stop listening to Bill!!!
CLINTON FOR V.P.! OBAMA/CLINTON O8!
