Al Gore to Endorse Obama Tonight

Al finally gets off the pot...
Just when I thought it was going to be a slow campaign news day, I just heard a report on MSNBC that Al Gore will be endorsing Obama tonight, in person, at a rally in Detroit. The report also states that Gore will request contributors to his Web site, algore.com, so pitch in money as well as time to the Obama campaign.
Obviously, this endorsement would have been better months back, but it can never hurt to have it. I'm not a believer that any single endorsement from any one person can make a difference, but this sort of ties up some loose ends in the march toward party unity.
I'm sure you PUMA's will disagree.
From the email that I just got from Gore:
Over the past 18 months, Barack Obama has united a movement. He knows change does not come from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue or Capitol Hill. It begins when people stand up and take action.
With the help of millions of supporters like you, Barack Obama will bring the change we so desperately need in order to solve our country's most pressing problems.
If you've already contributed to this campaign, I ask that you consider making another contribution right now. If you haven't, please take the next step and own a piece of this campaign today:
On the issues that matter most, Barack Obama is clearly the right choice to lead our nation.
We have a lot of work to do in the next few months to elect Barack Obama president, and it begins by making a contribution to this campaign today.
Thank you for joining me,
Al Gore

Awesome. The democrats are coming together to support the next president of the United States of America Barack Obama
Susan4:19PMJun 16th 2008
It won't do Obama any good. It shows how desperate Obama and the DNC are getting that they are getting Gore to come out and endorse Obama now. I mean, what good does it do? Of course he would endorse whoever the democratic candidate is.
It just makes me lose respect for him because I think he should put this country first, not his party.
I know that he KNOWS Obama is not fit to be president. He just wants to keep in good with the democratic party.
Democrats for McCain - 18,000,000 of us won't care what Gore thinks.
Denise Williams4:22PMJun 16th 2008
Susan,
You still think McCain is getting that whole 18 mil?
Kathy4:22PMJun 16th 2008
HEAR...HEAR...Susan, I agree with you totaly. The DNC will see who gets the last laugh!!

go to cnn and find out how obama won his firt election to the ill. senate.disgusting! no regard for honest and fair play.his group of thugs purge hundreds of voters off of petitions leaving his name as the only one on the ballot,is this the new politics he want to bring to washington.
lmay4:34PMJun 16th 2008
Kathy..Susan..All other Hillary-Mccain voters....yes Mccain will get those votes and the DNC can take a hike.
Al Gore used to be on my top list, I still believe he is a good man, but he should have stayed out of it.
Sheeple....Sheeple...is the new term for Obama supporters..just following along..voting for an unqualified candidate.
We will stick together and show the DNC and Obama supporters that the American people are smarter than they think. Remember the MSM can turn on Obama as quickly as they built him up.
I vote the security of my country....if not Hillary..Mccain will be just fine!!!
Lets just sit back and wait for the convention and what happens until November!!
On The Obama Bus4:39PMJun 16th 2008
Do you ever wonder why so many people are getting on the Barack Hussein Obama bus?
Could it be that this nation is becoming colorblind and does not care if a good person is black, white, red or tan?
Could it be that the American people don’t care if a person worships as a Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu, or Jew?
Could it be that people remember the scandals of the Clinton And Bush years?
Could it be that the American people know that if it was not for the Clinton’s filth and scandals that Al Gore would be completing his second term in office.
Could it be that the American people remember Bush and McCain looking into our eyes and saying, believe me there are weapons of mass destruction?
Could it be that the American people are shell shocked that over 4,000 precious lives have been lost fighting the wrong war in the wrong country against the wrong enemy?
Could it be that the American people realize that Carl Rove politics brought our nation to where it is today?
Davidg4:40PMJun 16th 2008
How could this possibly be newsworthy? Of course he's going to endorse Obama.
Obama is going to save us from global warming. He's going to give a speech in China and then another one in India. They are going to give up all their polluting ways.
He will then fly to the Middle East (maybe even without an airplane) and convince them all to stop producing fossil fuels.
Oh thank you Obama.

NO OBAMA

Republican For Obama4:44PMJun 16th 2008
Oh!
Get real!
Do you really think that when it push comes to shove the American people will vote for four more years of Bush/Mccain?
Scary thought!
We will be in Iraq or Iran depending on how his mind is working that day.
The Sunnis or Sheits will be our enemy
(Terrifying isn't it)!
We will spend all our social security funds fighting a 100-year war.
The rich will become richer and the poor poorer.
There will no longer be a middle class.
A man with the worst temper in the Senate will have his finger on the nuclear button
This nation will belong to the Japanese And Arabs because they already own this country.
That is why this white Republican woman from Arizona is voting for Obama.
No Obama4:44PMJun 16th 2008
Is something wrong? Everytime Obama's in trouble he gets some smuck to endorse him....
Whatever....I'm still not voting for him!
Thank You Al Gore4:46PMJun 16th 2008
the American people know that if it was not for the Clinton's filth and scandals that Al Gore would be completing his second term in office.

Do you trust John McCain?
Do you remember - when John McCain publicly called his wife a c*nt?
Do you remember - when he called a young person in NH a JERK and told him that he would send him to Iraq?
Do you remember - when he shouted F--- you! at Texas Sen. John Cornyn last year?
Do you remember - when he said Only an a------ would put together a budget like this, to the former Budget Committee chairman, Sen. Pete Domenici, in 1999?
Do you remember - him saying I'm calling you a f------ jerk! to Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley?
I do...
That is why I do not want this man's finger on the nuclear button.
3rd Bush Term4:51PMJun 16th 2008
McCain said I’m not running on the Bush presidency.
On April 1, 2008, John McCain offered Americans another April Fool’s joke, proclaiming I’m not running on the Bush presidency. McCain might want to check his campaign’s position papers. After all, in his eternal quest for the Republican nomination, McCain has adopted virtually the entire Bush agenda, often reversing long held positions and compromising supposed core principles. From Iraq, tax cuts for the wealthy, broken promises on the deficit to opposition to SCHIP, tax credits for health care, overturning Roe v. Wade and a right-wing Supreme Court, John McCain represents a third Bush term.

THE INTELLECT OF JOHN MCCAIN5:06PMJun 16th 2008
John McCains understanding of the economy.
Its all in your head folks.
John McCain says the economic downturn is psychological. Having on multiple occasions admitted his limited understanding of the economy, Senator McCain instead turned armchair psychologist to diagnose the U.S economic slowdown. In April, McCain told Fox News’ Neil Cavuto that a lot of our problems today, as you know, are psychological. Apparently, four months of job losses, oil at $120 a barrel, record gas prices at the pump, 47 million uninsured and a devastating home foreclosure crisis are merely figments of Americans’ imaginations.
OhReally5:18PMJun 16th 2008
Well now we know that Al Gore is just as corrupt as the rest of the Democratic party who have been taken over by the Chicago Political Machine.
Be very afraid America
And..who in the hell would want to ride on a stinky bus that smells of corruption. Maybe they can't afford cars????????????????????//
