The ruling is in line with what our four fathers intended. Perhaps,
they were wise enough to see that someday the Government would be so
out of control that Americans would have to defend themselves.

If the state of our economy dosen't turn around, and Government
doesen't start making some hard decisions soon, there will be
thousands of people who will stop at nothing for just the everyday
necessities to surive.

shouldn't they be here praising, their victory.

shouldn't they be wondering why Obama has fought against gun possession , of every type of gun, why suddenly when he needs your votes, he CHANGES [ there is that word again } his staunch position, in HOPE { his new word } that none of you will notice, THAT HE WILL DO AND SAY WHATEVER IT TAKES.

Funny how he does that, right before your eyes, and so many of you fall for it.

one blogger told me, that Obama does the will of the people, but I call it pandering at it's best. just plain pandering.

does this man have any real principles, can't be if he CHANGES [ there is that word again ] them, at the HOPE { his new word ] of getting your vote.

seems to me, more gun owners should be concerned, right now and wondering, what Obama will do after he gets your votes, and he has the power to CHANGE things the way he really wants them.

My fellow Democrats have to realize that the era of handgun bans is over. They never prevented crime in the first place. Some of these bans became 'trendy' when crime started increasing decades ago. The majority have spoken and this is a fight Democrats cannot win. Just as conservatives will eventually concede there are fights they cannot win (the increasing tolerance of and expanding of gay rights, to name one). Times change and we have to change with them - or risk being out of touch.

Got to wonder if the ruling covers some laws that require registration of handguns? I believe in the individual right to own a handgun but there should be some control regarding purchase and sale. These gun shows where handguns are sold without background checks and really can be untraceable may be the source of so many weapons in the hands of criminals.

Once the election was underway, Barack Hussein Obama was very careful to promote himself as a Christian and the keystone of his Christian identity was Trinity Church, a Church shaped around a former Musli
whose Divinity School Masters Degree was on Islam and who used the Church to preach hatred for America and support for terrorism. That man of course is Jeremiah Wright.

With the revelations that Jeremiah Wright is a former Muslim and received his Masters degree from the University of Chicago’s Divinity School on Islam in Africa– Obama’s affiliation with Wright’s Trinity Church takes on a whole new meaning.

When Obama attended Wright’s Trinity Church, was he really attending a Church or a Mosque that Wright had built with a Christian facade over it.

Wright has admitted to incorporating ideas from Black Muslims into Trinity. He himself is a former Muslim who promotes an Islam centered view of America and Israel as demon states. There are Synagogues that are actually Churches dedicated to targeting Jews. Muslims have been covertly imitating some of this. There is a Jews for Allah and Muslims have been trained to lead religious discussions with Christians by equating Christianity with Islam , proclaiming that they too believe in Jesus. If there are Messianic Christian synagogues, why not a Prophetic Christian mosque?

Either way, conspiracy theories aside, the Church that Obama was attending had more in common with a Mosque than with a conventional Church. It was led by a former Muslim whose specialty was and is Islam. A former Muslim who hates America and Israel and who preaches ideas that are basically Black Muslim ideas. So Obama’s claim that Trinity Church normalizes him as a Christian goes out the window, because Trinity Church is no mainstream Christian Church. It’s as close as anyone can come to attending a Mosque without actually attending a Mosque.

Consider Obama’s “I’m not a Muslim” defense reverted back to square one. Or is that Mosque one.


Also Obama’s Chicago church reprinted a manifesto by Hamas that defended terrorism as legitimate resistance, refused to recognize the right of Israel to exist and compared the terror group’s official charter – which calls for the murder of Jews – to America’s Declaration of Independence.

The ruling does not impact simple registration requirements. Nor does it have an effect on waiting periods and purchase limits. Certainly it does not impact laws against criminals and the mentally unstable buying guns. So there is plenty or room for common sense regulation on handguns.

But where government goes too far, according to the Court, is when it prevents ALL citizens from owning guns, or otherwise places such regulations as to make the actual use of those guns for traditionally legal pruposes practically impossible.

The so-called "gun show loophole" is really a red herring. Gun shows are where private collectors sell and trade their firearms. Registered commercial dealers are still required to follow all the federal and local restrictions. Think of it this way: a collector at a gun show is analagous to a private citizen selling his own car. A car dealer has to be registered and follow certain regulations, but the citizen selling his car in his driveway does not. It's the same with gun shows. Just like a citizen would not want to sell his car to a criminal for the purposes of robbing a bank, so too with the gun show collector. Federal regulation of gun shows makes about as much sense federal regulation of the classified advertisements.

I will say it once again. There are currently hundreds of gun laws in place that make it highly illegal for prohibited persons to own or posses firearms. No more gun restrictions are needed. Criminals will continue to have guns, just as criminals will continue to get illegal narcotics, and alcoholics will continue to drive drunk.New laws will change absolutely nothing.New gun laws will have an effect only on law abiding citizens.There is no magic answer. The only thing society can do to help combat these and other illegal activities is to SEVERELY punish the people that are doing these illegal things when they are caught.More laws, especially more gun laws will do nothing,nothing,nothing!!!
