Beware Auto-replace
From Betty Cracker and People For The American Way comes this side-splitter: The conservative Christian American Family Association website One News Now people choose to replace word 'gay' with 'homosexual' in the content it receives from The Associated Press.
I'm not sure if they're trying to be doubly anti-gay or English language purists here, but it seems to work out well for them. Except when someone's name is 'Gay'. Take the feed from the AP about track and field Olympics contender Tyson Gay "Gay eases in 100 final at Olympic trials", and you get this:
Alas, one of their web gurus must have been goofing off and reading progressive blogs and saw this massive screw-up. The Search feature for One News Now is a dead link.
