Bill Clinton Speaks to Barack Obama
Jun 30th 2008 3:30PM
Filed Under:eEndorsements, Democrats, Barack Obama, Breaking News, 2008 President, Bill Clinton

"Senator Obama had a terrific conversation with President Clinton and is honored to have his support in this campaign. He has always believed that Bill Clinton is one of this nation's great leaders and most brilliant minds, and looks forward to seeing him on the campaign trail and receiving his counsel in the months to come," said Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton.6/24/2008 - When Senator Hillary Clinton suspended her campaign, and offered her "full throated support" to Barack Obama, his future got so bright, he had to wear shades. Now, on the heels of news that she will be campaigning with him in Unity, N.H., this Friday, comes the endorsement that could bounce Obama right into the White House. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the former President of the United States, Mr. William Jefferson Clintoooon! (through a spokesmaaaaan.) From Reuters:
"President Clinton is obviously committed to doing whatever he can and is asked to do to ensure Senator Obama is the next president of the United States," Clinton's spokesman Matt McKenna told Reuters in a one-sentence e-mail.This has got to be a mistake. They didn't just randomly email Reuters, which means they had to have asked a question. Questions like that aren't supposed to get answered like this via email. That's one lucky reporter.
It is possible that Clinton did approve announcing this way, but in any case, it doesn't make him look good. On the other hand, maybe it's better this way. The old smoothie seems to have lost his mojo during this campaign, and who knows what would fly out of his mouth in front of cameras?.
Is this another strike against the "Dream Ticket?"
Assuming President Clinton meant to announce his support this way, it seems to support the claim that he just doesn't like Obama. I don't know if there has ever been a First Spouse who was just openly hostile toward the President. That's got to be awkward.
Still, this is a year of firsts. If Hillary is selected as the VP, perhaps Cheney's underground bunker can be converted into a rec room for Bubba, where he can relax in blessed solitude.
In conclusion, I invite you to ponder Politico's Jonathan Martin's $64,000 question:
Clinton won't be with his wife and Obama at their joint rally later this week in Unity, New Hampshire, so let's pick up yesterday's question with a twist: where should Obama and Bill Clinton appear together?
Note: To any readers who will be in striking distance of Philadelphia on Friday, June 27: Some Political Machine writers and readers are getting together (unofficially) to celebrate John from Philadelphia's birthday. Click here for details.

THIS will bounce Obama into the WH?
What? Was Bill going to publicly disagree with Hillary's endorsement of Obama?
Funny though, Bill was soooo bad for Hillary's campaign, but now he will bounce Obama into the WH?
lol.

Bill Clinton is going to be criticized no matter what he does. It's already reflected above. I would have preferred he'd stay out of the Obama campaign completely as I believe (& always will) that Obama is not right for the presidency.
I would imagine there is pressure to "help" the Dems win or Hillary's political career would be doomed. They would make sure of that. It seemed he could do nothing right in the pundits eye during Hillary's campaign. I don't understand why he needs to jump into the fray now....especially the way both Clintons have been treated by the media, the DNC as well as the Obama campaign. I would imagine they both have been pressured "to do what's right" for the party. I'm not pressured & I have no intention of supporting or voting for Obama because I strongly feel he & his kind of change are
all wrong for the country. I will let my conscience be my guide (& it is not leading towards
Obama).
To make it interesting perhaps Bill C. can campaign together with Gore, Richardson & all the other traitors.
I guess things have been a bit dull for the pundits since Hillary suspended her campaign, so now you must juice it up again. Don't forget that Obama was "selected" as the candidate, not Hillary, so back off the constant attacks of both Clintons. There's much to learn about Obama, so focus on the real facts about him before the Reps beat you to it.
No Obama allegiance here.

President Clinton should just drop into United Trinity Church one Sunday morning when the Reverend Wright and Father Pfleger are guests speakers. Make sure there is a huge press entourage there and LOTS of Secret Service folks. An hour or so before the service, he should invite Obama to join him. That way, Obama's handlers and/or speech writers wouldn't have the time to prepare him. Let's take a good look at Obama and Clinton at this church that "welcomes everyone". Let's see how President Clinton is welcomed at a church that hates his wife and claps and cheers when Pfleger preaches his campaign of hate. Let's see Obama's reaction when they walk in together while Wright is saying "God D**m America". If Obama is truly a unifier, this would be his moment to show us all that he is capable of actually renouncing the racism he introduced into the primary race. Now that he is playing up his white heritage, he can prove to America that he is neither a white American or a black American. He say's he wants to be the President for ALL Americans. It's time he actually show us he can do that.

Right, now that Hillary has been put away by the Media, Bill Clinton is going to be Obama's ticket to Pennsylvania Avenue. I wonder will the Media use the same bus they threw Hillary under. No, they can't do use that one, they will have to use the one Bill Clinton rode during his successful eight year run in the nineties. Hypocrites!

I HOPE BILL DOES NOT ENDORSE OBAMA. EVEN IF HE DOES, THIS WOULD NOT CHANGE THE MINDS OF DEMOCRATS LIKE MY SELF. WE WON'T VOTE FOR OBAMA; WE DON'T LIKE HIM.
I LIKE MC CAIN A LOT! NO ENDORSEMENT WILL CHANGE MY MIND. MY FIRST CHOICE WAS HILLARY, MY SECOND MC CAIN. I RATHER GIVE MY VOTE TO A DOG THAN OBAMA. I DO NOT LIKE OBAMA, MICHELLE, WRIGHT, OR ANY OF THEIR FIENDS.
A VOTE FOR OBAMA IS ALSO A VOTE FOR MICHELLE, WRIGHT, HAMAS, CASTRO, CHAVEZ, AND THE LIKE.
HILLARY'S SUPPORTERS FOR MC CAIN 2008!

Tommy Christopher I would have thought this room to be in use by the presumptuous selected nomination by the DNC 's wife Michelle?

Q.What does Barack Obama and Micky Mouse have in common?
A. They were both created for the Media and are incapable of running the government of the U.S.A.
Barack ObamA is a Media fabrication. He's your kids' choice for president!

Subj: FW: Post Turtle
While suturing a cut on the hand of a Texas Rancher whose hand had been caught in a gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually, the topic got around to Obama and his bid for the presidency.
The old rancher said, Well, ya know, Obama is a 'post turtle'.
Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked, 'What is a post turtle'?
The old rancher said, When you're driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a 'post turtle'.
The old rancher saw a puzzled look on the doctor's face, so he continued to explain.
'You know he didn't get up there by himself, he sure as heck doesn't belong up there, he doesn't know what to do while he is up there and you just wonder what kind of an idiot put him there in the first place.'

Bill will probably ever appear with Obama, which is how it should be because, with all his faults, Bill's a smart man and, deep down--or not so deep down--he probably can't stand Obama and Obama must know that. By publicly saying he supports Obama, he's just doing what he must for his wife's sake and to remain respectable within the Democratic Party. He doesn't have to worry about going all out in case Hillary becomes the VP candidate because Obama's already his made it pretty clear that he doesn't want Hillary as VP. She'd never be his VP anyway because OBAMA WILL NEVER BE ELECTED. LET'S ALL READ THE NEW BOOK COMING OUT ABOUT OBAMA ON AUGUST 4TH. HOPEFULLY, IT WILL END HIS POLITICAL CAREER.

What do the Clintons have to gain by supporting Obama now. She is still a senator and will finish out her term. He has his organization that does charitable work all over the globe. Their reputation with the Democratic party is of no consequence anymore. The party screwed them and their legacy. One of the best presidents of our modern times and all it took was the DNC and Obama campaign to ruin his legacy forever. The Clintons don't owe Obama or the party.

President Clinton owes Obama NOTHING! If President Clinton is wise he won't appear with Obama anywhere! Obama's camp accused the President of playing the race card, which was just one of many of the underhanded stunts the Obama campaign has launched through out this campaign.
Many people have come to learn, if you don't support Obama you're a racist. The Obama camp and most of their supporters don't take into account, that many Americans do not agree that Obama would be the best person to lead our Nation. PERIOD..!!
AND IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BEING BLACK!!
These people see it only as a black and white issue. How sad. That just goes to show you how far still has to go.
For those who think a black President is going going to change things regarding black and white issues THINK AGAIN!
If I'm a racist because I don't think Obama is the best person to lead our Nation the SO BE IT!!
