Happy 4th of July!

The patriotic holidays always remind me of my father. He was a WW2 veteran and served in the South Pacific, which I'm sure you know was no island vacation. Anyway, I know all these patriotic songs because of my dad. On Saturdays when my sister and I slept in too late, my dad would blast us out of bed with John Phillip Sousa marches! Whenever I hear them now I either laugh or cry, depending on the day.
Great clips too, I happen to love Jimi Hendrix and remember that rendition of the National anthem being a very big deal at the time.
I vaguely remember the song about the eagle soaring, was that after 9/11? Great contrast. I admit I didn't listen to the whole thing, my cat was yowling her head off! hahaha
And of course, who doesn't love all those grand old movie production numbers!

Here is a song called "I Am A Patriot" by Jackson Browne. Actually I think it was written by Little Steven but I only know the Jackson Browne version. I always liked hearing him play it in concert.

I still think that the BREAKING NEWS of the US Military is finally finding those WMDs of SADDAM HUSSEIN’s.

Remember --- Hussein used WMD's on his own people, he used them on Kurds and other groups. HE WOULD HAVE CONTINUED TO USE THEM!
