Welcome to Videos of the Week, and sorry for my absence these past several weeks. It is good to be back, even if it is during a slow-as-molasses news week.

Because it has been such a slow week, this will be a shorter than usual VOTW. For the same reason, our lead video this week is a compilation of Election 2008 web videos, put together by PoliticsTV.com.

Of course, I think they've forgotten a high quality web video that deserved inclusion, so I intend to remedy that. Here's BallWitness News' Special Report: Electile Dysfunction.

Of course, the big story this week is actually from last week, but here's TPM's roundup of fake apoplexy over Wesly Clark's appearance on CBS' Face the Nation.

The Political Machine is home to many talented writers, but also, I've discovered, talented readers. Some of us got together to celebrate the birthday of John from Philadelphia, and he favored us with a song at a piano bar in Philadelphia. You can read about it, and see the uncensored videos here, but I wanted to spotlight John's gift.

Now, even though I just did a story on this, I liked the end of this video so much, I thought it bore repeating.

Again, here's a story I just did, but with a slightly different angle. Here's Fox News' take on singer Rene Marie switching anthems on the mayor of Denver.

Here's Cenk Uygur's take on Fox News' extreme makeover of a couple of New York Times writers.

Finally, here's another look at a really funny clip from The Onion. In case you had forgotten, We still have a president, and his name is George W. Bush.
