Obama Hussein is incredibly naive when it comes to foreign policy. Whether we like it or not Bush got us into this disaster in Iraq and we cannot simply abandon the civilians to the terrorists there now at Obama's whim.

How is that (401K) that was the thing to have working for you, or have you cashed that in to pay your debt already?

How is the new bankrupticy law working for you, just another item too pay for in getting out of debt, they can't get blood out of a turnip?

How's the idea of "Of The People By The People And For The People" working for you or is it of the "The Industrial Military Complex and For The Military Industrial Complex?

How's the concept that anything outside the Washington, D. C. Beltway, and NYC New York City and Wall St. just doesn't really matter but at election time working for you?

OK...let me try to understand here...Oil Companies are asking to drill on land thats off limits because of environmental reasons. And the republicans are saying DRILL, DRILL, DRILL OFF-SHORE!

IS it not true that the Oil Companies have 68 MILLION
ACRES OF LAND? IS IT NOT TRUE THAT 33 MILLION IS OFF-SHORE? IS IT NOT TRUE THAT THERE IS AN AREA IN ALASKA THAT ALLOWS FOR THE OIL COMPANIES TO DRILL ON?

If all of this is true then...WHY AREN'T THEY DRILLING?! NANCY PELOSI HERSELF SAID THAT THEY CAN DRILL AT ANY TIME ON THE LEASES THAT THEY ALREADY HAVE. ALSO SHE EXPLAIN HOW THE ACRES OF LAND IS RICH IN OIL AND NATURAL GAS AS WELL!!! WOW!!!

ALSO...the petroleum reserves that we have for emergencies are out there. DO THE REPUBLICANS REALLY WANT OIL PRICES TO GO DOWN? BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT TELLING THE OIL COMPANIES TO DRILL ON THEIR OWN LAND THAT THEY HAVE ALREADY! WHY IS THAT?

It it just too bad that neither McCain or Obama will level with the American people about high energy prices. They will both do what politicians do - pander. There is nothing that can be done in the short-term about high gasoline prices. Drilling our way out of this is not possible. While I do not agree with Al Gore on all of his global warming grandstanding, he is correct that Americans have to change their behavior and that politicians need to start getting serious about a viable energy policy. But don't expect miracles - both parties will blame each other and America will not change their wasteful ways in any significant numbers.

Must be nice!!!I am really scared for people today. we are in trouble its just like the depression. not sure what will happen now but I know that many people I know are losing everything they have worked hard for. its a real shame!

McCain goes abroad to help America and almost nothing is said.

When Barack Hussein Obama goes, it’s more than news; it’s glorification of an incompetent ignoramus.

It needs to be said: this kind of stuff is treason, pure and simple.

At the least, it is not the role of a free press to support a candidate for public office in this manner.

I’d say write your Congressman, but that’ll do no good.

The only thing left for decent Americans is their vote.

Pay has not gone up except for the minimum wage increases - another to come soon, as they have come in stages. That's been more than taken away by the increased energy cost hasn't it.

OK - I'll concede - the non-drilling in the past is not the reason for today's pump prices. But, not drilling is now the reason for the price not falling again. These are tough times and tough decisions need to be made. John McCain has made the right decision and called for drilling. President Bush has been making the right call since he got there and that is: Drill, Drill, Drill.

Crude provides too much beyond just the gas. If you could replace it as an energy source over night you probably couldn't replace everything else over night. Drill, Drill, Drill. I would also call for at least 3-5 new refineries strategically located around the country as well and operated in an as environmentally friendly manner as possible. Wow! Green jobs too! Bet those would pay well. You know, it may be more expensive to extract from some of the locations we are looking at but the increase cost of extraction should be offset by the decreased cost of shipping from halfway around the world.
