McCain VP Announcement This Week?
Syndicated columnist Robert Novak says he has a scoop. John McCain will announce his VP this week. He had to do something to get some attention after Barack Obama's foreign trip. Here's the tease:
Sources close to Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign are suggesting he will reveal the name of his vice presidential selection this week while Sen. Barack Obama is getting the headlines on his foreign trip.
So, who do you think it'll be? Take our poll.

McCain is having a difficult time decising who his VP is going to be. He needs someone more intelligent than he is and someone younger in case he should drop dead of old age. But McCain has problems even with simple decisions. And the reason it's taking mCain so long is deciding which of the 3 stooges would be his better replacement.

The most important qualification for his Vice President is knowledge of geography.
God help the GOP if they invade another wrong country.

So then you would agree that Obama has an even harder time making a decision since he has not announced his VP either?
Susan9:05PMJul 21st 2008
All we have to worry about when Obama makes his choice is will the person be American?
Or will it be one of his anti-American buddies?
Will it be Louis Farrakhan? Or maybe the American terrorist, Bill Ayers?
Maybe it will be Osama bin Laden himself?

McCain has to do something to curtail all the disproportionate media attention Obama's been getting, but he'd be better off waiting to announce his VP pick until the end of the Democratic convention.
Splash9:47PMJul 21st 2008
Colin Powell would be a great choice. He would put the ticket over the top. He thinks more like McCain than Bush. I would certainly be a little more excited about the ticket.
Then, if McCain started to decay prematurely. Colin would make a far better 1st black president than Obama could even dream of being.
If McCain made a move like that, I might start to really care who wins. Just trying to help out would take on a whole new meaning.

Susan Get Over It And Move On10:13PMJul 21st 2008
Susan get over it she lost.
Time to wipe your tears and move on.
The Democratic Party has its nominee. The Republicans in all their wisdom have theirs. Now the choice is up to the American people. Your Lies, bloggs, letters, petitions, threats and tears will not change that. In November you will have to choose between. The democratic candidate promising a change from Bush/McCain politics. Or McCain who says he is not running on the Bush presidency. But McCain might want to check his campaign's position papers. In his eternal quest for the Republican nomination, McCain has adopted virtually the entire Bush agenda, often reversing long held positions and compromising core principles. From Iraq, tax cuts for the wealthy, broken promises on the deficit to opposition to SCHIP, tax credits for health care, overturning Roe v. Wade and a right-wing Supreme Court, without question John McCain represents a third Bush term.
So you could be bitter, or you could work to save this nation. Why don't you exert some of your energy helping Hillary pay off her campaign debts?
Republican for Obama10:17PMJul 21st 2008
McCain a hot tempered moron who does not understand the economy. That is why this Republican is supporting Obama.
Mr. Clark10:33PMJul 21st 2008
David Knowles,
Sen. Obama is about half-way through his trip with no missteps/gaffes and Sen. McCain is furious. It was McCain's idea that Sen. Obama visit the region. Since McCain has spent the most time recently with Mitt Romney, I am guessing that may be his choice. Rudy is through in my opinion. Bobby Jindal I don't know anything about.
Carly Fiorina even being considered is kind of laughable. Didn't she almost bankrupt Hewlett-Packard? She made a lot of money even on her exit. She would be a disaster. She was exciting to watch when she first took over, but what an ending. I am surprised anyone would hire her again. (If I am mistaken about the Company...forgive me, as it has been awhile.)
I hope Sen. Obama picks his VP soon as well. I know it won't be Hillary. I feel it in my gut and that may be for the best. Supposedly Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius is out as well as any woman for that matter. The wisdom in the Obama camp is that by not picking Hillary and choosing another woman, the backlash would cost him in November. I like Sen. Evan Bayh. Sen. Hagel is problematic because it leaves a Republican one heartbeat away from the Republicans taking back the White House should Sen. Obama win. I don't think the Democratic Party at large would go for that.
What would you think of Hillary running for New York Governor? Bloomberg is throwing her a Welcome Home Party soon. He offered and she readily accepted. You know, not being mad anymore has started to make this exciting again.
Sincerely and respectfully,
Mr. Clark

Isn't it wonderful that John McCain went to Kennebunkport, Maine to ask George Bush Senior permission to name a candidate for Vice President?
I guess the Bush's have to sign off on any decision he makes!
