Obama Wows Berlin

As Chuck Todd noted on MSNBC, there was nothing in the text of the speech--which was neither here nor there, to my mind--that John McCain would necessarily disagree with. Still, it's hard to imagine McCain being able to deliver the same speech as convincingly as Obama just did.
Meanwhile, McCain ate sausage at a German restaurant someplace in Ohio.

How many people are being paid by the Republican party to say the same thing about Barack Hussein Obama in these comments, no matter what the story line is?? It would be refreshing if these people could actually state an intelligent observation instead of the same thing over and over. Wouldn't it be nice if the world liked us again, instead of protesting our leaders??? Just sayin....
ANYBODY-BUT-OBAMA2:41PMJul 24th 2008
THE DEMS IN CONGRESS "SELECTED" OBAMA --- HE WAS NOT "ELECTED" BY THE PEOPLE.
Obama has no experience on any political topic. His previous foreign experience was vacationing with his family on a beautiful island --- now he's touring Europe with 300 advisors and the mainstream media. Why wouldn't he meet with Americans in a town-hall setting? He should be answering our questions.
Read Obama’s books. This bi-racial man, who claims to be ‘black’ is a threat to our country.
From ‘Dreams of My Father’: “I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn’t speak to my own. It was into my father’s image, the black man, son of Africa, that I’d packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela.”
From ‘Audacity of Hope’: “I WILL STAND WITH THE MUSLIMS SHOULD THE POLITICAL WINDS SHIFT IN AN UGLY DIRECTION.”
McCain does have foreign policy experience. In fact, he has more political experience on every topic than the ‘wanna be’.
John McCain served our country during the Viet Nam War. He proved he loved our country enough to die for us. He has served in the Senate for 20 years. John McCain has two sons serving our country --- why doesn't the biased media ever mention this?
Vote McCain in 2008.

The Jr. Senator Obama needs to focus on the U.S. This rockstar mentality is so shallow. It seems that he needs to feed an ego.
dee2:56PMJul 24th 2008
"replace dems..." you must be kidding, John M. has made so many gaffes it's embarrasing, a slight geographt lesson might be in order.
Harris2:58PMJul 24th 2008
Hmmm....gaffes....57 states?
DANIELLE2:59PMJul 24th 2008
obama has ZERO experience dealing with other countries -he is WAY too young and way too cocky-the other countries will see that and wage war....they dont like us as it is. Obama is just not the right person for this job...pack up obama...we wanted change, not the end of the world obama HUSSEIN.

It's sad, comments on political blogs always seem to turn out worthless. Full of people from both sides filled with nothing but hate for the other. Can't those on the right at least recognize that having other countries like us and respect our leader be a good thing? You criticize him for every little thing. It's hard to even have a conversation about the issues.
DANIELLE3:05PMJul 24th 2008
uhm dee dear, what exactly is "geographt" you wrote? And you are picking at me for spelling and grammar? Seems like maybe you should focus on more important issues.
dee3:06PMJul 24th 2008
danielle... your comments might I repeat might be considered if grammar and "spelling" represented something.... then for than
dee3:10PMJul 24th 2008

JACK3:16PMJul 24th 2008
obama is a presumptive jerk.......and he embarasses me and our country.
Dennis Chabot3:16PMJul 24th 2008
My goodness raise hell because Obama went overseas didn't john McCain say that Obama should go overseas and get more ibnformed. Vot McCain in 2008 by 2010 him and his Republican alies will have stolen ever dime a working man makes and given it to their rich friends. Wake up and look at what the GOP have done to this country. Bush always trys to blame the democrats in congress for the mess he whines I can't get anything done. to help the people. He had the horsepower to get us in a war thru outright lies but can not do anything about the economy. He can't help the common people because he is to busy robbing them to feed money to his rich friends. Look around and see that whenever McCains lips are moving he is lying to you just like Bush and Cheney.

Someone just sent me this link to a comprehensive video covering Barack Obama. In it...is a complete history of where he came from, what he thinks, things he's said (in his OWN voice) and I'm sure he hoped that they would be lost and forgotten forever, but someone has captured them and put them on this shocking video for all to see and hear. It is called "Connect The Dots."Please watch and listen to this video and share it with others. It is the only way we can wake people up in time and try and stop this "Changeling" from overtaking the White House in November.God help us all...!!!http://www.eyeblast.tv/Public/Video.aspx?rsrcID=2036

Harris, that was too funny! Thank you for that.
Harris3:22PMJul 24th 2008
Do the German candidates come here to get recognition during their runs for office? I don't think many Americans would care. So why is it so vital for Obama to speak outside the country at this point? He is not president.

1:42 p.m.: SPIEGEL ONLINE has learned that Obama has cancelled a planned short visit to the Rammstein and Landstuhl US military bases in the southwest German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. The visits were planned for Friday. "Barack Obama will not be coming to us," a spokesperson for the US military hospital in Landstuhl announced. "I don't know why." Shortly before the same spokeswoman had announced a planned visit by Obama.
According to the Chicago Tribune's Jill Zuckman (emphasis added):
Sen. Barack Obama seems to have time to visit the gym for a workout today, but not to visit the troops during his stay in Germany tomorrow. [...]
Today, however, Obama, just like George W. Bush in the 2000 election, managed to squeeze in some workout time despite a heavy schedule leading up to his big speech at the Siegessäule, or Victory Column, around 7 p.m. Berlin time.

I watched the speech from the begining to the end. The libs can spin this all they want it was a flop! They barely responded and the crowd was small. He doesn't understand the euro mind at all. Three quarterrs of his speech was a history lesson that they don't want or need. The last third was full of content that he paraphrased from stolen Kennedy and Regan speeches. When are the head in the sand OBAMA supporters going to wake up and see this phony for what he is?
