Eric Schulzke's earliest political memory is eating jelly beans from Governor Ronald Reagan's cabinet room stash in 1973.  His dad worked for Reagan's Lt. Governor at the time.  After majoring in English at BYU, he worked as a congressional press secretary.  He returned to school to earn a PhD in Political Science from U.C. Berkeley, and has since taught American government courses at Berkeley, Santa Clara University, and BYU.  He serves on the advisory board of fora.tv, the premiere internet site for public affairs programming, and is launching another multimedia internet project, currently under wraps.  His home base news blog is www.thoughtcops.com.  He and his wife have four children, three cats, two cars and a mortgage.
