Debate: Hillary Supporters Outnumber Obama's

Outside of Philadelphia's National Constitution Center tonight, throngs of Hillary supporters completely overwhelm the tiny effort by Obama supporters. If I had to guess I would say the ratio is 50:1. I'm very suprised at such a poor showing here in Philadelphia where Obama is expected to make most of his gains in the state's primary on Tuesday. One thing though - the poor guy with the megaphone shouting himself hoarse yelling "Yes We Can!" probably wishes Obama's catch phrase and Hill-ar-y didn't have the same amount of syllables.
Great push by the Clinton organization! Credit where credit is due.
In other pre-debate news, George Stephanopolous and Charlie Gibson reported live for ABC Evening News. Below are George and Charlie. Both touted the new polls out today - and declared that Hillary had to be very disappointed. George would not answer when I asked if he would question Obama on Ayers. Just a sly smile...
Hillary on Colbert This Week, Not Barack

News of Clinton's visit was divulged Monday night in Philadelphia by MSNBC pundit Chris Matthews. He blurted it out during taping of the show at the University of Pennsylvania's Zellerbach Theater. The news was confirmed by a person close to the satirical news program, who insisted on anonymity because the date of the visit hadn't been publicly announced. The report doesn't say how we're supposed to know that the confirmation wasn't satirical.
Meanwhile, her Democratic rival, Barack Obama, has so far rebuffed the fundit's invitations to appear, although his wife, Michelle, will appear tonight.
My colleague, Denise Williams, and I have been all over Colbert like a bad smell this election season, and this will be no different. Check back here Thursday night for a liveblog of the Report, followed by in-depth analysis and a special, biometrically measured focus group. OK, not the focus group. After the jump, brief analysis of the burning question: Is Barack Obama shooting himself in the foot here?

With this stunning announcement, I thought there would be no better time than to examine the substance of Mike Huckabee, and try to figure out what effect this newly-formed ticket will have on the Republicans' Race to Their Own Houses, Which May or May Not Happen to be White.
Colbert Crisis Coverage Continues

It is hour 6 since the announcement by the South Carolina State Democratic Committee that Stephen Colbert's entry to the 2008 Democratic Primary Ballot had been denied. The initial shock is beginning to die down, the television news crews are doubtless ensconced in lonely vigils outside the residences of Colbert's lawyer, his paralegal, and no doubt, his 5th grade teacher.
All await the emergence of the wounded warrior from seclusion, like Stephanie Colbertle the Turtle from her shell. Will we see a broken, defeated Colbert, or will he burst forth like Tek Jansen, ready to do battle anew? Where are signs of support from Stephen's beloved Saginaw Spirit? The silence from their website, and from mascot Steagle Colbeagle the Eagle, is deafening. Have the illuminati deserted the fallen hero so quickly? We will have Stephen's reaction soon, as I liveblog The Colbert Report. While you wait, remember back with me to what may have been the closest Stephen will ever get to the presidency.
President-elect Colbert!
Ok, since he's not likely to be on the ballot in enough states to win anything, he can't be President. But the rocket-rise of Stephen Colbert in polling shows that while the days of also-ran comedians like Pat Paulson are over there maybe a Tom Dobbs (from Man of the Year, the fictional comedian elected President played by Robin Williams) in America's future after all.
Editor & Publisher looks at recent Rasmussen polls and concludes that Colbert, while not serious enough to actually warrant inclusion in surveys, is nonetheless somewhat of indicator himself of American politics - as the only person who daily stands up to the Washington and media elites giving them heck over America's wrong-track attitude.
