California Court Voids Gay Marriage Ban

In a big victory for gay rights, the California Supreme Court overturned a measure Thursday banning same-sex marriage. The 4-3 ruling opens the door for the nation's most populous state to let homosexual couples get married. The ban was originally approved by California voters. Bush Faults Pre-War Intelligence

While saying he doesn't feel he was misled, President Bush cites disappointment in "flawed" intelligence leading up to the war in Iraq. In a wide-raging interview, Bush says he believes that if a Democrat is elected in November and pulls troops out of Iraq, that could lead to another attack on the United States. Bush also reveals that he gave up playing golf in 2003 out of respect for U.S. soldiers killed in the war.

Congressman Admits Child From Affair

A Republican congressman from New York admits that he fathered a child with his lover. The admission came after Rep. Vito Fossella -- a married father to three other children -- was pulled over last week by cops and arrested on drunken driving charges. He's up for re-election this year.
