I can't have too much sympathy for the owners here, they are the idiots that are paying these draft choices the amount of money they get, just like Baseball a few greedy idiots riun it for the rest.

I have to go with the owners on this subject because rookies coming out of college today are being paid to much for not playing one game. Look at the last few years and see what the rookies made to what the veterans have made and proving themselves on the field even before the rookie even prove to the team, fans, coaches and the owners. The good example is in the article, Jake Long is getting 30 million before he steps on the field before the first is even played. If I was an owner who would have to prove to the team, fans, coaches, and me before you get that big contract. A good coach like George Allen would always take a proven veteran before taking a rookie and paying that much to an unproven player. Maybe that was the reason the Washington Redskins never had many draft picks because they went to get the proven veteran then the uproven rookie.
