Now that the LPGA no longer exists, I'm not surprised that she would retire. It's a shame that the LPGA went out without a whimper, it looked like it was giving the PGA a run for it's money. then POOF!!! it's gone. Saddly no one has missed it either. The commissioner and all the players have layed down and let it wither away into nothingness. I always enjoyed watching either on tv or in person, I was in attendance at the '95 US Open in Colorado Springs when Annika won her very first Open, got her autograph on a hat, she was so cute and scared looking. She was sweet and signed for all that asked, no one knew who she was until she won. I mourn the passing of the LPGA

Annika is one classy lady. She became the face of the LPGA when other players like Nancy Lopez got old and really fat.
