Busey Gropes Garner at Oscars

(Feb. 24) - Jennifer Garner got more than she bargained for when she met Gary Busey on the red carpet at the Academy Awards -- Busey's lips on her body.

Garner and best actress nominee Laura Linney were in the midst of an interview with E! host Ryan Seacrest when the notoriously out-there Busey charged up the red carpet yelling that he'd been wanting to meet Seacrest for years. After shaking hands with Seacrest, Busey congratulated Linney on her nomination with a kiss on the cheek, and then proceeded to embrace Garner and plant a kiss on her neck.

When Seacrest attempted to forge ahead with the interview, a clearly flustered Garner responded, "Ask me about getting kissed on the neck on the red carpet by this man ... That was nice!"

With Busey continuing to hover, Linney quickly extricated her friend from the uncomfortable situation, telling Seacrest that she and Garner had "secrets to tell."

Seacrest put an end to the episode by telling Busey, "I'll see you later at the party. You know the one." He then turned to the camera and confessed to an E! cohost that he had never before met Busey.

E! subsequently released a press release calling the incident "one of the most bizarre moments in red carpet history."

Kanye Is the Only One
