What most Americans do not know is what existed before Isreal was created sixty years ago. Peaceful Arab people lived in Palestine and were overtaken by militant Zionists led by Menachem Begin, then future Prime Minister of Isreal. Read about the bombing of the King David Hotel by jews dressed as ARABS in 1946. The sole reason the US allied with Isreal at its inception was because it was post WWII and the Soviet Union was allied with Egypt and we wanted to counter Soviet presence in the region. This is all fairly recent history and the people over there are still working it out. Please understand both sides of history, not just what is most commonly repeated. One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. I am not Arab, Jew or Christian. Just someone who recognizs that this is a very complicated issue and that Arab Palestinians are unfairly blamed. Please have an open mind and read your history.

"Bush ASSERTS an Unbreakable Bond Links U.S. and Israel." (emphaiss added)
It just does not get any more DESPICABLE (emphasis deserved) than the Associated Press and AOL.
Is it only President Bush who "asserts" this? IF you ask the direct question (you will probably wait a lifetime for the despicable AP, or mainstream media to ask it), will not Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton not AGREE with this statement?
"Assert" is a ridiculous word to use here. But AOL, and the despiocable AP, use ridiculous words all of the time (such as the idea that Barack Obama has "won" the nomination as soon as his delegate "count", including superdelegates, reaces 2025--see yesterday's entry in my AOL blog, "Thje Maverick Conservative", titled: "Anderson Cooper Is a Complete and Total Fool", which was a statement proven by CNN's own expert).

Israel's nation charter was granted in 1948 by the world. They were attacked the same day and everyday since. I am not Jewish but I know when you are attacked you respond. If terrorists stop attacking from civilian areas then civilian deaths will stop. Israel want one thing and only one thing. The right to exist in peace.
