"The state never provided evidence that teenage girls were being sexually abused, and never alleged any sexual or physical abuse against the other children, the court said."

Most of the teenage girls that were removed were pregnant or already had kids of their own, isn't that enough evidence of sexual abuse?!

sydneyellenjones 05:16:23 PM May 22 2008

This is not sanity. Those children need to be removed from that way of life.

sweetgrannie6 04:58:42 PM May 22 2008

GIVE THESE IGNORANT WOMEN BACK THEY DAMN KIDS AND STOP THE WELFARE AND SUBSIDIES THEY WERE GETTING. HELL I DON'T WANT MY TAX DOLLARS TO PAY FOR THEIR TRIALS ANYWAY. IF THESE WOMEN WANT TO BE SLAVES AND IMBECILES TO THESE MEN, LET THEM,. GOOD RIDDANCE. LET THEM WORRY ABOUT THEIR KIDS MARRYING SICKO PERVERTED OLD ASS MEN, AND TAKING CARE OF THEIR KIDS AND ALL THE OTHER WIVES KIDS THAT THE FOOL IS MARRIED TO.

guitonmoor3 04:45:06 PM May 22 2008

Not all sexual relations result in pregnancies. NO SEXUAL ACTIVITY should be forced as it is in these communities. Sodomy is another factor that involves both young females and males. I do believe the children should remain in custody until every individual person has been throughly examined and questioned. The Sect acts by fear and fear alone. AND..Polygamy is a crime in itself, is it not?

I dont know the exact circumstances but i read the book of one of the people who grew up in that place.. and i think all of the kids should be put in better homes.. the book is very interesting!! check it out.. it is called Escape!

it was a cluster fruck....no way they could determine legitimacy or not because of the manipulative deliberate deception by FLDS in order to hide their abusive and illegal practices.
The court bombed on this one.

depeter 04:35:19 PM May 22 2008

If even one underaged girl was being abused or forced into pregnacy, then the original action is justified. Let's wait until all the evidence is in. Being separated from parents isn't deadly to children. How many of you use babysitters or send them off to summer camp?

nexusxn 04:32:01 PM May 22 2008

Forcing children to marry older men and/or have sex with them is wrong and against the law. Keepig this in mind, the rest of the story is a part of their religious freedon. The children should be returned.

ferandr4 04:23:38 PM May 22 2008

the genius who made the decision to remove the children from parents must be a real "rocket scientist"----what a lack of common sense

itzcosmic 04:09:45 PM May 22 2008

It was obviously wrong to take ALL the children without due cause, just based on fear and paranoia and mass persecution of the FLDS. I think they have grounds to sue the state for emotional and mental harm to their children. 1/3 of the children taken were babies and they spent 1.5 months of critical bonding time separated from their mothers. It wasn't good.
