Excuse, not to think that I surport predident Bush, but it seems to me he tried to get her and other's benifit's and congress turned him down. Congress has a lot of pull, people tend to forget that and can veto any bill, even above the President's wish. The high court is pretty much the same. The high cost of inflation is not Bush's fault, it is the fault of greedy CEO's and Government officials. Ceo's of companies get back a large lump sum when they save the life insurance companies money, people really need to read the fine print in their polices. I know I got burned also. By the way, I am a cancer patient and cannot get coverage. I have no life insurance, boy did I get dumped fast.

We've got several wars to win, we can't worry about the American people.

It is hard to blame business when it is Congress who passed the law to begin with.It is to bad that the average man or woman can't get united and go against the power brokersWho are behind the people who are in Congress and vote them out. We really need a third party for the diminishing middle class. If we leave it to the Democrats and Reppublican parties there will be no middle class in 5-10 years.

goldennorse82 04:31:47 PM Jul 06 2008 Report This! Its the whole Congress that is behind this mess. I believe Clinton was the prez in 1993 so this happened under his watch. Either way its sickening and pathetic that these people who bitch and gripe about flag lapels and want to drape their porky asses in the flag are the same ones selling America down the drain. Obama or McCain will do no better. This is the best both parties can do? I will vote for a 3rd party candidate.--------------I agree with this comment. Vote Ron Paul, or any other 3rd party canadate who stands for what you want.

kelli2l 03:57:34 PM Jul 05 2008 Report This! Bring back unions: Because no one else is sticking up for the worker. The worker situation has actually gone in reverse. It's way past time to make sure all employees have protections again - this is why employers have been pressing to get rid of workers unions, they want ALL the company profits, and while they get richer and richer - workers get the shaft. IMO - the problem with Unions (in the past) was they demanded too much money for some workers. There is a middle ground where the worker can make a good living wage and the company will still do very well..............MOST PEOPLE ARE AFRAID TO UNITE AND STAND UP FOR DECENT TREATMENT. THINGS WILL GET WORSE UNTILL THEY GET SOME SPINE.

I think it should be considered a privlage to have held a government office, and serve the people. Those in office today are NOT grounded to what the peoples wants and needs are. Most of those people are rich, so who do they relate to, we the people, or the rich? If we voted in everyday people, carpenters plumbers house wives and paid them what the average house hold income in the US is those people would still be grounded to our wants and needs. Also as stated in a previous post put a limit on how long they can be in office.

mc630ine 03:31:53 PM Jul 06 2008 Report This! It is time that the people did some changing of the government to be for the people, by the people. We need to change the guard of Congressman and Senators and keep them on the honest track. Change the time spent in the Congress and Senate to a minimum of years instead of lifetime for them. They get too many perks and all for free. Medical, and all of the other perks in the govenment places. And they also get a very good pension which we do not get and they get their raises whenever they vote them in. Which other people do not get. Their raises are big ones not like the ones the small people get about the 4% to 7% raises. Congress and the Senate vote their raises in the $20,000 a year. We need to change some of this. And the president also votes on these issues too so it is up to him to help the people and not only the government higher ups.---------------------I agree with this post 100%
