In my 80 years here I only know of one marriage that was broken up by one of the partners falling in love with a gay/lesbian person. I know of many marriages that were destroyed by straight persons. Instead of calling for a Constitutional Amendment to prevent same sex marriages,maybe we should pass a Federal Law preventing the Local Courts from granting divorces to couples who were married by or in a religious ceremony. To me this is a serious violation of the "Church/State" wall. The State Courts could only grant divorces in Marriages performed by non-religious authorities.
