"Global Warming," I am waiting. Where ARE you????

"That is incorrect. The Atlantic Hurricane season saw 5 hurricanes this year. Only 2 were listed as catagory 3 or greater."

I stand corrected. There were two Cat 5 hurricanes. It was only the third year in which two Cat 5 hurricanes occured in the same season.

"
Snow in El Paso in November is not unusual. The average low for Nov is 40 deg F, but the record low is only 1 degree.

Since 1990, there have only been 3 record lows in November - and none since 2000.

There have been four record highs in November since 2000.

Sounds like a warming trend to me.

I'm told that it snowed in El Paso, TX last week.

Doesn't exactly sound like warmer weather to me.

Our winters keep getting milder each year, which clearly shows that our environment is seriously messed up (ie: global warming) so I wouldn't be to happy about it not being so cold.

How refreshing ! The prediction is for a mild winter ! This is very good news for all of us. Less snow and ice means less traffic accidents and deaths from them. We should have less people die from severe cold temperatures this winter. Our heating costs will be reduced greatly. We will suffer less illnesses due to the moderate weather. Less snow to shovel and ice to chip off of our sidewalks and car windshields. The list goes on and on.

Warmer temperatures are certainly a good thing for us all.

AOL must be having problems again. Accessing these boards is getting more and more difficult.
