passing "parts" of the Government Surveillance Bill.

You people may not value your lives. We value ours. I thought your first
duty, in Congress, was to keep us safe. And I'm not trying to "scare" you.

Each and every American is not a threat to this country and the Government does not have a Need to Know each and every thought or opinion expressed in personal telephone conversations. When is Congress ever going to start looking out for the average citizen that it is supposed to represent? Mr. Bush has taken away many of our rights in the name of security. Many citizens of America have been here for generations and generations, the forefathers fought to make us free of control, gave us rights and made us proud. Those that are here today are products of that pride, black, white, any color. To take away a freedom in the name of security is simply a lie. Perhaps working on an Immigration Bill that protected our citizens and country from letting every "Tom, Dick and Harry" that wants to come here, for whatever reason, makes a little more sense than persecuting the American Citizen that has given their all, paid taxes and even voted for those in Congress.
