Report This! fortune628: of course people with government contracts always seem to do well, but what`s your point? that you are doing well so everyone else is a slacker? that you have cut the "dead weight " out of your business so you make more money? this is not a new concept, it`s called downsizing.... nice to be king though

My business has no government contracts, I deal with average people from poor to Rich. When I said cutting the dead weight, I meant getting rid of wasteful spending, gettting rid of jobs that arent really needed. And becoming more efficient. Small and middle sized businesses suffered during the Clinton administration, and thats the back bone to our economy.

Report This! >>fortune628 - I own a small business and May 08 was a record high profit month. What is happening is the price of gas is forcing businesses to cut out the dead weight in there operations. To help make up for the cost of energy. The increase in inflation is the result of higher gas prices.<<
If this is correct then you are a poor manager because there would be no dead weight. A manager or business owner who has to lay off "dead weight" is either cutting cost to increase profit or did not plan his labor well enough.
--------------------------------------------
No where did I say I was cutting the dead weight. I said businesses were. Specifically businesses that have Unions. Managers have very little control over the losers unions allow to stay.
