year in and year out, Walton makes mistakes only a gun shy rookie should be making. Mihm is hurt every year, and is a journeyman big man at best. Not sure if Odom for Artest is such a good idea. The team seems to finally be meshing as far as the different attitudes. Artest is like dynamite, he just needs a match. Odom did dissapear in the finals, but when Bynum went out, he was there to help them stay afloat, along with Kobe, and eventually, Gasol.

The Lakers are a mess. What they don't get is that you can't thow bodies at players. Turiaf is a good defender, high energy guy and 5 clean but hard fouls when you need them most, a la Garnett, Duncan, etc. Bynum is suppposedly great, and numbers (minus Gasol) say he is decent. But experience factor zero, durability now questionable, and Odom likely going to Sac for Artest, I'm not sure Kupchak made the right move here. I absolutely promise you that Bynum develops a weight problem, and gets slower with age and I mean a year or two. Depth or the lack thereof will hurt the Lakers, and Kobe doesn't have time to wait for that. Good luck LA, you're gonna need it.
