Report This! AOL is doing a disservice by not posting the followup coverage. Criste Reimer's family has been speaking out and this is turning out to have little do with health care costs or compassion. Just your old garden variety domestic violence.

WHY PROSECUTE A MAN WHO CANNOT PAY FOR HIS WIFE'S MEDICAL BILLS? HE HAD NO OTHER COURSE OF ACTION. PERHAPS KILLING HIS WIFE IS AGAINST THE LAW, PERHAPS HE SHOULD ATTEMPT TO GET A LOAN TO FINANCE HER CONDITION. WELL, GO AHEAD AND PUT HIM IN PRISON HE DID KILL HIS WIFE, MAYBE WE WILL END UP PAYING THE MEDICAL BILLS.

I myself have sarcoma and my expenses are ridiculous but I do believe in mercy death but what this man did was neither mercy or neccessity. Throwing someone off a balcony at 4 stories is not mercy I believe in those few seconds she suffered more pain then the cancer caused he could have given her an overdose of her medicine or some gentle thing if that is what she wanted but no where in this article does it mention she wanted to die. So the husband was a bastard and that is that and deserves a prison sentence.

i am in total agreement with pkkbh, this countries leaders have there head up there ass, who need to get some priorities.there are so many others like this couple in america who need help but are turned away tto fend for themselves what in the HELL is america coming to?

Man's inhumanity to (wo)man! What a pitiful excuse for a human being. There were many solutions to his problem. Dissertion, although cowardly, being one. Divorce, being another. And many more that do not include murder.
