To wannabemis: With regards to more white people on welfare than blacks, is that because there are more white people than blacks in this country? In terms of percentage of persons on welfare, would that be balck or white?

Senator Obama needs to be careful, the media reported this issue in the proper context. His response was overblown. But I am sure the Republicans would love to see him make more mistakes like this. It certainly sends a message to the voters about the lack of predictability of what Senator Obama will do if elected president. More mistakes like this could lead him to recieve the same results as Senator Kerry in 2004 and remain the junior Senator from Illinois.

First of all Obama is not a black candidate He is a Bi-Racial candidate,. His mother was a white lady. I take offence when he is refered as a Black casndidate as i feel that the only reason half of the black people who say they support the man is because the media referes to him as being Black. He is a MAN Don,t support him for his color. Examine the issues and then base your vote on what you feel are the correct answers from the right nperson
