WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democrat Barack Obama has opened an 8-point national lead on Republican John McCain as the U.S. presidential rivals turn their focus to a general election race, according to a Reuters/Zogby poll released on Wednesday.

Obama, who was tied with McCain in a hypothetical head-to-head matchup last month, moved to a 48 percent to 40 percent lead over the Arizona senator in May as he took command of his grueling Democratic presidential duel with rival Hillary Clinton.

I thought we had come so far that a woman and a black man could run for president. Well I sure was wrong about that. I am so disappointed in the DNC that I will probably become an Independent. You can't break rules when you know what the penalty is and then cry when things do not go your way. It is not the peoples fault. Whoever decided should be held accountable for their party decision.
I think Obama is to young and inexperienced and Hillary has way to much garbage to bring back to the White House. Our nations future is in the hands of the voters.

I believe that it is probable that much more DOCUMENTED proof regarding the Fraudbama's will come out soon and that the REPUBS are just waiting to toss it to the public. With, FINALLY, the info coming forth regarding Wright, Ayers, choking under simple pressures during a DEBATE, NAFTA blatant lying, Iran flip-flopping, economic and foreign policy errs (Pakistan was a TRUE INSIGHT to his inexperience), etc., I am CERTAIN that VERY damning material will come forth.

This man and his wife, along with his EXTREMELY questionable group of long time associates, will be shown for what they truly are. In history, this will be documented for all time as to how close a person such as this came. READ his book--PLAIN AND SIMPLE. As a DEM, I WILL NEVER VOTE FOR THIS FRAUD!

Let me explain to you Obuma lovers. The polls you are referring to are those taken NOW!! Polls aren't worth much anyway. Look at the weekly AOL poll and you will note that for the 5th consecutive week your boy is getting stomped! So will he at election time.

I have voted DEM for 40 years and I am still considering it because Clinton is still in this race. If not for the blacks who are overwhelmingly turning this into reverse racism (even though Clinton has done MUCH for their causes and Obuma nothing), superidiots who are looking for payback, and caucuses, Mr. Smoke and Mirrors would be a memory. Counting FL, Clinton would be virtually even with Obuma in popular votes and very close in nomination voting and perhaps sway more of the superidiots looking for work.

If Obuma does win it I will be one of MANY who will NOT vote for your boy and watch how that election poll changes dramatically towards McCain. We DO NOT need a foreign policy novice and
