The Dem don't control congress they just have a few more than the Rep. That does not allow them to make any changes. The Rep have blocked any and all changes that have been brought up. However we are seeing a change since this is an election year and Bush is out. The Rep actually are voting to support the troops this time. Had this been brought up 2 yrs ago they would not have allowed it. This administration has screwed this country like no other in history, and I cannot understand what type of mind set a person has to have to defend this administration. It amazes me. What I would like to know is do Rep supporters really THINK about this madness or do they support it just because a Rep says it. Really "Is there any intelligent life out there?"

the thing to fix this is TERM LIMITS! and the ability to FIRE public officials as easily as we hire them. right now we cant even impeach a pres who has sysematicly shredded our constituion, lied to get us into an illegal invasion , proffeted from said war and allowed the man responsible for 9-11 to get away and allow his family to leave the country on that very day. and we are not able to do a thing about it.the patriot act and homeland security robs us of more and more of our rights. are we willing to be ruled by another king or elite system in exchange for a false " safety?"when we lose our right to bear arms?? ther will be no stopping the horrible changes i see in this country and someone was right, they want SLAVES that they can pay what they want . not a decent wage.and thats what theyll have soon enough. 100million more on the war on drugs?? roflmao as long as there are people who want to get high there will be drugs. prohibition did nothing but make a more violent america and RAISE TAXES TO FIGHT ALCHOHOL. THATS WHAT THIS "WAR" IS ABOUT. its a giant black hole for the governement to suck your money thru. our prisons are over crowded due to the fact that many of the people in there are non violnet drug offenders.and letting the violent offenders free . rapists murderers and child molestors are getting out in record time.back on the streets to hurt more innocent people women and children mainly. given the choice to live next to the pedophile or the pot head ill take the pot head anytime.but again it seems that women and children are the least valued people in this country if not why are murderers ggetting less time for killing them than for killing a man?

the crops are not rotting in the fields the politicians are rotting in the house. If the crops are rotting in the fields then the corporate farmers are not willing to hire people for the proper wages and benefits they want slaves and the rich and powerful buddy senators will give it to them.
