Leave it to the Bush white house to go against this. He is out of tune with the American people, and he doesn't know what the middle class that makes this country go, go, go is going through. The 1500.00 I got from the Gov. is going into my Saving account. Why should I buy something with money that I claim in next years taxes. Also, think about this, who is this money going to benefit you, that have bills to pay and gas to put in your car, or the rich companies that want that money you just got, to help their button line? I say, save that money, and let them figure out what to do with that profit that Exxon made last year on our dine........Taxes the help out of them, not us!!!

so heres my two cents, if anyone is interested. because of the EPA and their need to advocate something, we havent built a refinery in twenty five years, as well as a nuclear plant, we havent drilled in the 1002 area in ANWR, google it. its not protected wilderness, its artic wasteland. and we are letting the chinese get all our oil off the coast of florida by drilling off cuba, if they run a drill horizontally they can take our oil within our 45 mile territory. stop blaming president bush. blame the democratic congress that panders to the far left minority for fear of reelection, instead offocusing on the majority.the silent majority, if you will. the environment is fine, CO2 levels are down since WW2, when we had a cooling period, and Global warming is directly related to the sun. stop worriny about the environment, and worry about the economy, because wealthier nations, do more to conserve the environment, than one in a recession.

Our great Senators need to each have a barrel of oil and Nuclear Waste stuffed up their backside, to get in touch with the AMERICAN PEOPLE ! Stopping the oil to the reserves will not change the price of gasoline, fuel oil, or the price of energy in this country ! Both partys continue to PANDER or get elected or re-elected, and the problem will remain the same ! And the stupid, guilibble voters continue to buy that line of crap !

The only real national oil reserve we have in America, is untapped oil under America, if it is worth $126.00 today at this rate it will be worth 252.00 a barrel in two more years !.

You people are really brainless. "Why can't the oil companies reduce their profits." Are you out of your mind? The whole idea of this country is based on capitalism and free enterprise. No company should reduce the cost of their wares if they don't want to. Beyond that...ask yourself a much better question. WHY DOESN'T YOUR GOVERNMENT STOP TAXING GAS? That'll kill about 90 cents a gallon right there (in major urban areas up to $1.50 a gallon). You people have no comprehension of the runaway inflation we have, as well as the catastrophic problems associated with fiat currency...until now. You all asked for this.

Stupid peoplle shouldn't comment on the oil problem. We all know th at eventually we will have to deal with Iran and possibly Syira. The war takes oil because they don't have electric Mil. vehicles yet. To stop increasing the Res. is stupid, because when we need it it will cost 5 x as much. Geet a life.
Those of you who don't know, let me explain it, it is not the Prez that runs the country it is the CONGRESS.

Also did you know that some countries are paying as high as 12 to 18 $ a Gallon. Get educated and read the news.

I would like to see a combination of both ideas before the Senate. Stop the Stock Piling of Oil. Also begin the Off Shore Drilling that we haven't use in 25 years and open up the Alaskan Frontier for Oil Drilling. If we're smart it would only be used temporarily to help reduce oil prices until we can implement better Fuel Standards, Alternative Fuels, and perfect our Hybrids.

HOW ABOUT GIVING Americans Tax Credits for trading in 8 Cylinder Gas Guzzlers when they replace them with Hybrids?????

I would give up my SUV in a Heart Beat is the incentive was there. Now trading it in, I will lose money.
