I've slept a few nights under a Wyoming oil rig, and witnessed the beginnings of the Rifle Co oil shale start, and now finally realize that the US squandered the last 30 years towards energy independence. The future is not determined by those in the field, but flighting decisions from Washington, and some grave errors have occured and not for public good

We were talking about oil, but I'm all for other sources, and good energy policy should try to develop the cleanest of them

Report This! And I believe your source to be crude oil and not inclusive of coal and shale of which we posess an estimated 1 trillion barrel reserve
^^^^^^^
And I think you make a great point there!!! Of course, you could also include reserves of U238 and wind power over the Andes and on and on but you make a great point.

Report This! So who cares about precise? Our problems became apparent then and good long term solutions implemented for our security, and then abandoned by Reagan for quick cheap and now proved unreliable sources
^^^^^^^^^
LOL... and here I had hope for you. I think it's reasonable for an administration to be responsible for 10 years into the future - which puts Reagan up to 1998. Unfortunately this makes Clinton responsible for up to 2010 and it's not looking good for him.

Report This! BP and Shell were among those Nationalized by Iran and world supplies were "interrupted" then
^^^^^^^
Not bad... your language is much more precise.

Report This! I would say that russia or the US has the 2nd largest supply with saudi #3 if we include coal and shale in the equation
^^^^^
Not bad... now there's a response outside of the box... not bad. Since the context was oil reserves, you should go to sites like http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0872964.html to discover that one of our neighbors has the second highest reserves in oil. But there a problem, and it's not economics... what do you suppose it might be??? - out of the box responses welcome!!!
