Southwest should not give them a refund for any used poprtion of the ticket NOR should SW apologize. If people, including children, cannot behave on a plane, they should not travel. SW should have charged the mother for two seats. She is big enough!

Hurah! For S.W. they have always been my favorite , and now they are golden in my eys. The best thing they could have done is what they did. All of these people look like they are mentally handicapped. Thats from inbreeding. Autistic or not there is no excuse for bad behavior. I wonder if the S.W got extr $ for the overweight.Some people just have no clue...

Trailer trash on the airplane. Awesome! Get the hell off and walk home if you can't behave. It's not your RIGHT to fly if you invade others peace of mind. Keep those and other BRATS off my flights thank you. This is a great lesson for the public. Your kids can't act like this! They should be kicked out of movies, restuarants, stores and anywhere where they should be expected to behave. get over it fatty! You have no complaint in my eyes.

My post was cut-off. I have no sympathy for this famly or other's that will follow. The family received a refund, a free hotel room, they were allowed to fly home the next day, and the officers bought them food.

At the risk of further aggravating the people reading this that are sypathetic towards this family.....In my "PERSONAL OPINION", I think that if Southwest is going to refund this family their airfare, then they should also partially refund each and every person on that flight that had to deal with this problem. $500-$1,000 for a flight they couldn't enjoy at all? And as other members have stated, the parents are using their kids "Disability" as an excuse. As heustonmah stated, and had some of you "sympathetic" people finished reading the article, you would note that the family was travelling with 4(four) children not just the 2(two) disabled children. All 4 children were acting up. I am fairly certain that an airline in today's economy would try their best not to attract negative publicity over a couple yelling kids. To involve the police and detain the family would require the children to have been completely disruptive and putting people at a safety risk including the children. I hav
